A colleague used to have a sign in his office that said “Experts built The Titanic. Amateurs built the Ark.” The time has come for our societies to stop acting on the advice of those with expensive educations and so-called credentials who have no real world experience, practical expertise or demonstrated competence on the topics they opine on. Many have proven track records of being wrong about everything for decades. They should be held to account for their historical blunders and their future input should be ignored.
