In a long-awaited report released Thursday morning, the DOJ’s inspector general revealed that former FBI Director James Comey’s handling of the memos he took from meetings with President Trump before he was unceremoniously fired in early 2017 violated department policy and the law when he shared them with a longtime confidant, who then leaked their contents to the press.
“We conclude that Comey’s retention, handling, and dissemination of certain Memos violated Department and FBI policies, and his FBI Employment Agreement,” the Justice Department inspector general report states.
As Fox’s Sean Hannity warned last night, the former director:
“Without a doubt…[Comey] should be sweating a lot tonight about what might be in those reports. This report is expected to be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Jim Comey.”
However, we note that Attorney General William Barr has declined to press charges against Comey for the handling of the memos.

Take heart for every time the Swamp makes these decisions, they reveal themselves as corrupt and that the rule of law no longer applies. A certain percentage of Americans will “wake up” after each of these events and eventually that reaches critical mass and the people revolt. The more the deep state commits these “crimes” against the American people the faster we get to the point where we push back.

I tend to agree with the previous comments that Barr will let Comey off, though TPTB may have to pick one or two chumps to sacrifice lest the natives get restless. They’ll more likely choose lower level fiends like Page and Strzok, but they may feel Comey or McCabe need to go down to stave off further demands to charge the main criminals; Hillary, Obama, Lynch, Brennan, etc.
You’re right. They will probably sacrifice one or two pawns before this is all over. I have said before that Strzok is an obvious choice. I doubt that they will go as high as Comey or McCabe but that is always a possibility. Twenty years ago they probably would have sacrificed someone that high, but they have gotten away with so much since then that they know they can get away with just about anything. In fact they might not even sacrifice Strzok.

It is deeply concerning that there is so much prosecutorial discretion afforded to those who are cashing taxpayer funded checks, and so little for the unconnected peons who pay them. There can be a healthy debate about whether so called public servants (in reality, public masters) should be held to a higher standard or the same standard, but it is an abomination that they are obviously held to a lower standard.
It is not quite all public servants though, the military and a few ‘not the right sort of people’ are the exception. Compare the treatments of Kristian Saucier who was imprisoned for far less than Clinton’s crimes ‘discretioned’ away. Compare the treatment of General Flynn or General Petraues compared to Comey and McCabe.
It seems that if every FBI agent whose been out of the Academy for more than a decade were imprisoned for life….there would be more justice than injustice done. If God were to send Abraham to find 5 righteous men anywhere inside the beltway, preferably during the state of the union, it would be destroyed as surely as Sodom. And the world would be a better place.
No one on here is surprised that Comey has received zero consequences for his actions. And it’s utter nonsense about Just-Us waiting for bigger charges to file…just tack them on once enough evidence “justifies” additional charges.
The Commoner would have been imprisoned for much, much less than anything that’s transpired over the past couple of decades.
