Conspiracy

Guest Post by The Zman

In America, conspiracy theories have always had a negative connotation, despite being the heart of most Hollywood thrillers and action films. The conspiracy theorist is someone, who is excessively distrustful, yet willing to accept massive leaps of logic to explain everyday phenomenon. They will also be very paranoid. After all, anyone who is onto the grand conspiracy is going to be seen as a threat by the conspirators and the powers that be, so the conspiracy theorist is always under threat.

It’s a funny dynamic, when you think about it. The elaborate, often ridiculous, conspiracy is the heart of so many popular movies and TV shows, yet the conspiracy theorists is a wacko and threat to society. Alex Jones had to be removed from the internet, due to being a conspiracy monger. Added to this is fake news spread on social media, which is a form of rumor designed to create conspiracies and conspiracy theorists. This trope is now so real, the US military has been assigned to tackle it.

Of course, fake news and conspiracy theories are a matter of perspective. For the Left, a conspiracy theory is any explanation that does not support their agenda. Trump secretly colluding with invisible Russians to mind control voters in the 2016 election is a perfectly rational explanation for his victory. People wondering why senior FBI men were colluding with foreign intelligence agencies to spy in the Trump campaign is a dangerous conspiracy theory, probably started by Russians.

Now, many, if not most, conspiracy theories are nutty and designed to get attention for the conspiracy theorist. That’s why Alex Jones exists. He figured out that if he entertainingly talked about conspiracies, he could generate a big audience willing to pay to see him perform. Red Ice, the popular alt-right YouTube show started life as a conspiracy theory outlet. Their stock and trade early on was space aliens and the paranormal. As Hollywood knows, conspiracy is good box office.

A funny thing about most hard core conspiracy theorists though, is they don’t have a lot of interest in genuine conspiracies. There are, after all, real conspiracies. They are common in politics, as politics is the business of plotting in secret to undermine opponents. Without conspiracies, there is no politics. Boris Johnson just learned this the other day when some of his colleagues plotted against him. These sorts of plots, however, have no interest to the conspiracy theorists.

Think about the two big conspiracies of the current year. We have the seditious coup plotted by senior elements of the security agencies. Then there is the on-going cover-up involving two attorneys general and two FBI directors. This is Cassius and Brutus plotting against Caesar, in terms of import and drama, yet the popular conspiracy mongers are not all that interested in the story. You would think the conspiracy guys would be all over it, just as proof that conspiracy are real.

Another conspiracy that seems to have gained little traction with the conspiracy community is the strange life and death of Jeffrey Epstein. Probably the most bizarre and salacious story in half a century, involving shadowy figures in the over class, has generated little interest from the conspiracy mongers. The weird thing about the Epstein case is it got more attention from the conspiracy theorists when he was just a shadowy fixer, than when he was the victim of a conspiracy.

You could easily write a couple of books on the conspiracy theories surrounding the 9/11 attacks. If you google “dancing Israelis” you get page after page of links to sites covering that angle. Ryan Dawson has done dozens of videos on it. These guys are examining beard hair patterns in grainy photos to prove their claims. Philip Giraldi has written extensively on the subject. This two decade old story still gets plenty of attention from the conspiracy community, but current conspiracies get none.

This suggests a couple of things about the sorts of people who become obsessed with conspiracy theories. One is they like the leaps of logic required to tie the various facts together in the narrative. It’s like a solving a puzzle for them. Finding a picture of Person X in the same room as Person Y, who they have already connected to the event, allows them to “solve” some great riddle. The fact that person X and Person Y have no known connection, other than the photo, makes it all the better.

The other thing about the conspiracy people is they eschew certainty. The typical conspiracy theory has lots of ambiguity and uncertainty. On top of that, it has multiple explanations operating in parallel. Where one narrative runs out of road, another narrative picks up from there to connect to another narrative. In a real conspiracy, like the FBI scandal, there are real facts. If all of the classified documents are ever made public, which will never happen, everyone will know what happened.

That’s the funny thing about the critics of conspiracy theories. They claim that these theories are popular because people like simple answers. That is probably a conspiracy there itself. People don’t like simple answers. If they did, Hollywood thrillers would feature no plot, just stuff exploding in between sex scenes. The truth is, people hate simple answers and conspiracy theorists really hate simple answers. The people who prefer an orderly world with no ambiguity are the critics of the conspiracy theorists.

All of this leads to the conclusion that the best way to keep prying eyes from looking to close at your shenanigans is make it look like a conspiracy. Make sure to have a few villainous looking characters and lots of contradictory elements. This will attract the conspiracy people looking to make bank on it. This will then attract the anti-conspiracy people, looking to debunk the conspiracy theorists. The back and forth will allow you to get away with your scheme and enjoy a quiet retirement on Nantucket.

The ONLY sensible way to view events like Building 7 and the Epstein farce is through the conspiracy lens. Otherwise you really think the world’s most powerful people give a shit about democracy and/or have any compunction against buying or framing politicians-in which case sit in the peanut gallery with the other dolts.

Here’s an article in today’s LRC. It’s long but if you’ll scan it for names you recognise you’ll get the point:

The Genesis and Evolution of the Jeffrey Epstein-Bill Clinton Relationship

Or this from Ron Unz:

CCRider..

This is a case where more valuable info found in the comment section than the article !

This Whitney Webb at Mintpress has released some incredible reports, all with supporting links. The bulk of this info I have encountered in my 20 yrs of internet travels. The way she has compiled all of this in her four part series is top shelf !

Fleabit or Panamared dropped the link to the first two parts…….if memory serves me right

I’m new to her but what little of her I’ve so far seen is mind blowing-even for a decades old conspiracy believer. She knows what she’s talking about. Interesting she reports from Chile. There must be a story to that. I’ll keep my eye on this gal-and easy on the eyes she is.

Tampa…

64 K question there. Honestly, I don’t believe we can. Based on the abundance of evidence available, the direction this nation is heading has been an esoteric plan since it’s founding.

The one common thread that runs thru race, nationality, religion, party…….are the secret orders, freemasons for the common catch all term….Lucy Ferrians ! By blood oaths, they hold a common goal above all.
Half way down (? I read it this morning) this part 4, W. Barr was said to have paid a visit as W. Casey’s rep….and the end of the quote was something about ‘under a new covenant’….. I think there is a lot more to that then what meets the ear.

annuit coeptis novus ordo seclorum <<<<<——== I think the goal is for 'them' to enter eternity without accepting the key to the door which is freely given by Jesus Christ.

I'm stuck on this approaching time is more than 'a 4th turning'

Zman trying to characterize politically incorrectness into conspiracy theories. It’s funny he mentions Alex Jones. Actually Jones has been more right than wrong. No one is perfect. But I stopped listening to Jones, not because of so-called wild conspiracy theories but because he has turned into a partisan hack.

Alex is a character playing a role, he doesn’t believe any of the BS he spouts and when push comes to shove he folds like a cheap suit. He shoots (nice pun) his mouth on every mass shooting….”It’s a False Flag”….with zero evidence ever…..and he got his ass handed to him over Sandy Hook along with that crazy person Mr. Halbigg.

Sure Sandy Hook is horrible and there are lots of very strange things (the usual “shooter drill exercises”, multiple shooters seen, the kids parading around in circles and on and on) so it looks like a false flag but nobody has proven it.

That is the problem….extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof which absent a whistleblower is damned hard to get. So we don’t know what happened at Sandy Hook, Aurora or Las Vegas or 9/11.

I worked closely with some folks on the Mayor’s team (Giuliani) who there that day and who worked on the pile….and even they didn’t know what really happened….they had suspicions and always pointed at Bldg 7 as “impossible”. Still no proof, no documents, no “smoking gun”….we are left with remote analysis and people trying to interpret facts weaving them into a coherent narrative.

Then you have confirmation bias…..e.g. the “Dancing Israelis”….sure Israel had some motivation and their intelligence services have worked with the Saudis so it could be accurate or it could be anti-Semitic projection…..we don’t know.

People like conspiracy theories because it lets them feel like they have more control over their environment and this is what Alex and other conspiracy performers tap into (Miles Mathis et al) if you believe you have insight/inside knowledge about scary events you feel empowered…….so folks cling to thin facts and BS because it is better than the alternative of knowing they are just sheep who exist at the whim of the powerful.

Odd isn’t it that after so many events, some of which are government action (go see operation Gladio) that I can’t seem to find a single one where government insiders were prosecuted……sure the occasional participant gets a hand slap (Ruby Ridge agents etc) but never once that I can think has a senior US Government Official been held to account for False Flag murder and mayhem……

So while we think the rabbit hole is very deep…….Logically it is much much worse than any of us ever imagined or we are way overestimating the actual ability of government to pull this shit off.

Unfortunately, I am in the camp that the level of evil and bad action is likely much worse than Miles or AJ or Steve Quayle or any of the so-called conspiracy theorists can imagine…..If we have never even made a dent in the armor of the Deep State….what does that tell you?

Uh huh. What do you think about Lucky Larry making $billions? Odigo employees getting the warning? Al Franken admitting he got the “Jew Call” from Ed Koch to stay away that day? Of the 4k Israelis who worked in the towers, not one of them died that day. Guess they were all just lucky like Larry?

So many, many people knew it was going down including the ex mayor and at least one celebrity, and yet not one of them bothered to warn authorities ahead of time. Why? I guess “we don’t know.” Huh?

Hey, hate the Jews all you want but at least hate them for the truth, not the fiction. It is simply NOT true that 4,000 Jews missed the 9/11 event because they got the “inside word”…..(was that delivered via secret decoder ring, yarmulke?).

That, of course, sheds no light on whether the Israeli government was involved and to what level (I suspect they were but have no facts to support that).

You are a great example of confirmation bias…..Jew Hater spreads conspiracy theory confirming their own viewpoint regards Jews. Might make you feel better (though I would think it would make you feel worthless and weak) but it is just not reality.

What is the definition of “conspiracy theory”??

Actually the term was created in response to the JFK assassination. When people questioned with some disbelief of the US governments bullshit story about Lee Harvey Oswald, Jack Ruby and the Warren Commission Report. Anybody watching that video can see that JFK was shot from in front and not from behind as the government claimed. Notice the same similarities of deep sixing Oswald in police custody by Ruby and Epsteins deep sixing? Same thing!! They were both wanted dead, not alive so as to not reveal how deep the deep state goes.

So conspiracy theory became a term invented by the CIA to discredit any dissenting viewpoints. In other words, conspiracy theory means to disagree with your government rulers.

Re the JFK assassination. Before it was made inaccessible, I went into the Book Depository building to the window. I’ve always been a fair shot and owned a Mannlicher Carcano bolt action rifle. One look out that window taking into account the angle and the fact that the vehicle was a moving target dipping and rising convinced me that no one, including the FBI marksman could have made that shot, convinced me that the “grassy knoll” (went up there) theory was correct. The knoll was a fish in a barrel shot for a vehicle rising. When I saw Ruby shoot Oswald on live tv…

I don’t believe the official Epstein theory either. In fact, I believe next to nothing the gov states. Damn, but it’s all so tiresome and demoralizing!

Dude – no mention of “libertarians”? Your game is off…

Aren’t they supposed to be mis-labeled and slandered in every piece you write?

This would have been a great opportunity for you to slander all libertarians by equating their economic literacy revolving around Fractionalized Fiat Currency to a giant, backwards-thinking, “conspiracy”.

You’ll get ’em next time.

Exactly. A lot of conspiracy theories are wacko, but those are started by wacko people, or people who wish to discredit all conspiracy theorists by pointing to the wacko theories. Just because there are a lot of wacko theories about 9/11 (no airplanes hit WTC1 and WTC2, just holograms, etc.) doesn’t mean that all of the alternative theories are crazy.

I have never agreed with a lot of the Zman’s posts (although some of them are pretty good), but he has definitely alienated me with this one. He is either a complete idiot, or he is controlled opposition himself.

They even pay fakes like Snowden and Assange to play the role of celebrity whistle blowers!

“Chelsea” Manning was paid to play the role of tranny celebrity military whistleblower and has a NetFux special!

People are so fucking dumb they get all choked up with this shit, imagining these are real people risking it all to expose injustice, when they are really just paid disinformation spies acting in their assigned roles.
