Trump Tweets “Say A Prayer” Ahead Of Impeachment By “Radical Left”

Via ZeroHedge

Update 2: As we expected, the tweet below has been reissued, with a few edits. It’s classic Trump, as the president exhorts his followers to “SAY A PRAYER” on impeachment day, while raging at “Do Nothing Democrats” and the “Radical Left.”

Update: We 100% President Trump to go on a full-fledged Twitter rampage lasting until the last impeachment vote is cast on Wednesday, and so far, the president hasn’t disappointed…although his first impeachment-focused tweet of the day has already been deleted for what we imagine are copy-editing-related reasons.

* * *

The rules have been established, objections have been lodged and today, Wednesday, Dec. 18, with most of the US preparing for next week’s holiday break, Speaker Nancy Pelosi is angling to finish the job, and finally impeach President Trump.

Though it means nothing to most of his supporters, as well as many Americans who simply haven’t been convinced by The Democrats’ arguments about how Trump supposedly violated the constitution, President Trump will almost certainly become the third American president to be impeached (and first since Bill Clinton) when lawmakers gather in the Well of the House for Wednesday’s historic proceedings, according to Bloomberg.

Here’s what to expect: After the House is gaveled in at about 9 am, lawmakers will debate for six hours before two votes are held: One on each article of impeachment. Trump is facing two charges: one is abuse of power, stemming from President Trump’s alleged attempted “quid pro quo” with Ukraine involving the Bidens.

The other is obstruction of Congress, based on the administration’s policy of advising White House employees and members of Trump’s circle to ignore Congressional subpoenas by invoking executive privilege.

According to the Associated Press, Pelosi has the votes to impeach Trump on a purely party line basis. Many centrist Democrats, including several lawmakers from districts that supported Trump in 2016, have come out publicly in support of impeachment. However, neither the AP or the NYT were able to publish affirmative totals, suggesting that the numbers are still being firmed up, and that there might still be room for Republicans to fight back.

In a last-ditch effort to peel off as many Democratic votes as possible, Republicans are encouraging voters in districts that flipped to Democratic control in 2018 but voted for Trump in 2016 to flood their representatives’ offices with calls demanding that they take a stand against impeachment.

Source: Bloomberg

As NBC News claims, it’s these swing-district Democrats who made this whole thing possible.

And they might have a shot: As Congressional Republicans have repeatedly pointed out in recent weeks, the public is evenly split on whether Trump deserves to be impeached.

That means fully one half of Americans believe the president is innocent, and that the impeachment push is merely a politically calculated smear job.

Let’s take a look at the latest polls, courtesy of aggregator RealClearPolitics

Those numbers are even worse for Republicans: Roughly nine in ten believe the president shouldn’t be impeached. Once it’s been made official, Trump is expected to deliver a public rebuttal during a campaign rally in Battle Creek, Michigan, a formerly Democratic stronghold in a critical swing state that helped deliver Trump to the White House in 2016.

If we know Trump, we suspect that this rebuttal will be full of fire and brimstone – that is, if Trump’s letter to Pelosi & Co. is any guide.

Interestingly enough, the last US president to be impeached, Bill Clinton, was formally accused of perjury by the House on Dec. 19, 1998, almost exactly 21 years earlier to the day.

After Wednesday’s votes, a Democratic delegation will formally deliver the articles of impeachment to the secretary of the Senate, the first step toward a trial in that chamber to determine whether Trump will be removed from office.

Then early in the new year, a trial will begin in the Senate, at which Trump is almost guaranteed to be acquitted, thanks to the Republicans’ control of the Senate. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said he hopes to carry out a swift trial in the Senate, limiting the number of witnesses.

As we mentioned earlier, the vote may not take place until late Wednesday – 6:30pm or 7:30pm – or even early Thursday.

Wall Street does not seem to be phased by this comedy playing in the District of Corruption, with all three indices sitting at or near record highs. Outside of the swamp, nobody seems to be paying attention to this Kabuki theater.

Crossing the Rubicon refers to the Roman law that no commander of a Roman legion could bring his Legion south of the Rubicon river without the permission of the Roman Senate. Julius Ceaser did bring the Legion back from Gaul to confront Pompey and well the civil wars started shortly thereafter. Once he had “crossed the Rubicon” all bets were off and it was a fight to the death.

In our case, the Founders had a dilemma…..how best to remove a President committing High Crimes (Treason, Bribery, Theft etc.) but not make it so easy that opposing political parties could nullify election outcomes via the impeachment process.

The “Rubicon” that is crossed here from which there is no return is the use of impeachment for obvious political purposes, exactly as the Founders feared.

As I have said a couple of times, we did not have a peaceful transfer of power in 2016 and this impeachment is just a continuation and escalation of that process.

Most folks don’t pay attention to anything that does not immediately affect them directly but rest assured this affects all of us, the sheeple just don’t know it yet.

Some have suggested that a proper remedy will be to impeach the next Dem POTUS when there is a GOP House to deter future impeachments without cause. Too little too late, there is no longer a US Republic with the Dems unwilling to respect the rules/laws that allow an inherently messy system to function.

I wonder, is there going to be a State of the Union speech in the House in Jan? I don’t think Trump would deliver the standard “the state of our union is strong” line….

Watch and remember today.

Many Dems never accepted W as President, either. Many in the news media always referred to him as Mr. Bush and were quick to say that SCOTUS elected him. They never accepted the results from FL where Gore never won in any of the recounts. If Gore had only won his former home state, he would have won, but the people around here recognized him for what he was, a swamp rat.

Trump will get re-elected next year and the resistance movement will grow and grow, with a crescendo reached around the ’24 election. Next summer looks to be a violent time for America.

All bets are off if VA goes through with their gun confiscation plans, as this might spark the beginning of the third revolution. Very interesting times we are living through, my friend.

Don’t you just love the random downvotes from the shadow lurkers unwilling to make a comment? I think Trump is on the road to a landslide and that of course is dangerous as the Left and Permanent State will have nothing to lose and make (and likely will) go kinetic/1963 or attempt to force a violent confrontation via VA or similar.

So VA passes radical unconstitutional gun laws….then the Dems/Permanent State demand that Trump us Federal Troops to enforce these laws and quell the insurrection etc….When Trump refuses to do that then the Permanent State has a causus belli and the military may start fracturing and picking sides (just like Rome) and away we go….seems like an obvious strategy but after the epic strategic failure by the left with impeachment maybe they are not that smart after all.

I rarely look at up votes or down votes and just concentrate on the conversation.

When he is re-elected, the gloves will come off. First will be pardons for those who were convicted/charged in the Russian hoax. Next will be all out war on the deep state (it is a matter of debate whether Barr/Durham will be assisting him or the deep state) and this could cause the kinetic action you reference.

Here’s a good article on the VA situation and why it might backfire on the Dems.

VA Governor’s Anti-2A Sanctuary Position Backfires

There is no doubt in my mind that Northam will take the bait on go all in on his gun confiscation scheme.

I know quite a few in the military and recently retired and they all agree they are sworn to support the Constitution, not the politicians. Most of them come from the heartland and grew up with conservative views. My guess is they will stand with the people and the Constitution and against the politicians/socialists. Result will probably be the Balkanization of America, causing some great consternation for those trapped behind enemy lines.

It is for my grandchildren and great grandchildren that I am concerned and what kind of America I will have left for them.

I think Gore should have won except that he was his own worst enemy. He was always so wooden. That last month or so of the campaign he started to look human (emphasis on look, ’cause what passes for human today ain’t). If he had the slightest clue of charisma, the slightest clue of what Heartiste taught, he would have been president. BTW, when to we like me stop GAF what the inminy thinks? When?!

I don’t think it’s possible for an emotionally attached victim of psychological abuse (someone altered by propaganda) to go from attachment to indifference. There must be a psychological force to conquer and slay the psychological force of propaganda and emotional attachment. I don’t get a sense of hate or indifference from what I read of most commenters. The dissenting subconscious usually rules.

Maybe instead of expecting reality to fit your narrative, you might try fitting your narrative to reality. There is no private collateral behind the US dollars of today, none. Two diametric possibilities: (1) The insiders know Trump will not be impeached, which means this is polarizing, compelling political theatre only, and Trump is supposed to be president to make democracy seem viable to the rubes, or (2) the insiders know he will be impeached and they are going to make a killing when the bubble pops.

I’m torn here. The interest rate inversion not long ago tells me its a bubble, whether they plan for it to pop soon or not. Can they control it in the direction of continuing it? Do they want to spring the trap on white Americans now? Is this just an orgy with no leadership? Stay tuned. Same bat channel. Same bat time.

Here’s how Trump should handle the senate trial: Send in Giuliani. It’d be like this:

Giuliani: “Your honor, I call to the stand, Adam Schiff, congressman for Hollyweird and very possibly – according to internet rumors – a child molester and possible killer.”

Justice Roberts: “Don’t impugn the congressman, but otherwise I’ll allow it.”

Guiliani (to Schiff): “Mr. Schiff, Are you now or have you ever been a Jew?”

Schiff: “Why yes, I am Jewish.”

Guiliani: “I rest my case!”
