I hardly pay attention to others in a restaurant but twice already the Salvy Queen has pointed out a fight. In the first one, the guy threw the drink at the woman because she was flirting with the waiter. He walked out and she stayed in the booth.
The second time, she told me the couple at the sidewalk table were fighting and the girl was winning, he was doing his best to keep eating as if nothing but like El Doggy says, women do not make any effort to hide their feelings or sugarcoat their words.

There is no perfect way to avoid the dinner fight, it’s coming. I learned from the time I took a girl to dinner and she wanted spaghetti. Well, there was no spaghetti on the menu, only angel hair pasta (thanks, Red Robin). She looked like she was going to cry while I reenacted the scene where Bud’s dad tells him that all pastas are just the same (Splendor in the Grass). She looked as if she would bolt.
So now, when I take the Salvy Queen out, I insist she tell me what she wants to eat, where.. It doesn’t always work because grown women turn into 3 yo girls when they want you to take them to eat something they want but won’t tell you, you have to guess and guess right or you get this shit scene even if it is not so well expressed as this chick. You still have to eat with a brat throwing a tantrum.

I dated a half-Cuban half-Spanish girl in college. Absolute psychopath. I won’t deny she was fun at times and she could be very sexy when she wanted to be, but she had a temper and she played headgames you wouldn’t believe. Based on my personal statistical sampling and lots of 2nd-hand stories and rumors I’ve made up, I think they have fire in the blood.
No, not fire, spoiled brats and ace manipulators. The behaviour is contrived and often they work themselves up into fits and violence, great levels of histrionics that they embellish with tears and screams and throwing stuff. The actions are very much like what a good method actor does.

In latin families Mamacita would have a susto when things got too violent in la familia and everyone would stop and become very solicitous to her. Female wiles….often needed because obviously men are physically stronger than women.
She was insane. I think she dreamed of being an ace manipulator. She pulled all sorts of games, contrived conflicts over small things, started fights and arguments, and even tried to engineer fights between me and other guys. The drama was off the charts. I failed a lot of tests. She even made a show of going to my hometown to pick up a guy, bring him back, and drag him around in front of me to make me jealous. She tried to guilt me into getting married to her. I think 90210 and Melrose Place and all those types of shows did American women no favors.
Maybe part of it was a culture clash. My toil and strife is from Eastern Europe and I get none of that crazy shit from her.
There are those people who need the drama to fill an otherwise empty life and equally empty head. There’s lots more to do in life besides acting like a mentally ill drama queen and I avoid those folks who do like the plague.
