When I took Intro to News Reporting, my professor was Jack Wills who edited the Muskogee paper for years before joining the staff at OU. He taught me to get the story first by getting it second.
How do you do that? You have to have done your research ahead of time so that when a story breaks, you already know enough about it to write something down and get running with it.

The only real ‘Pandemic’ here is a pandemic of fear and scaremongering designed to tank the markets and defeat POTUS for re-election. It is so transparent and obvious. BTW we really don’t have an accurate unfailing Covid-19 test so chances are many of these so called cases are the seasonal flu. The people who are dying from this are, as always, those with compromised immune systems, the elderly and those as in Wuhan who live in despicable environmental conditions. People are dying from secondary bacterial infections caused by a weakened even further immune system. That is why they tend to be people in close quarters with each other as in cruise ships, Senior homes, hospitals and densely populated areas with public mass transportation.
