Well I haven’t lied since I became single. Not that I was cheating on my wife or anything of sort, but she used to buy clothes that made her look very fat (which she wasn’t). In the beginning I was telling the truth in form of something like : Honey with that dress your butt make the Appalachian mountain look like small hills. And then I would sleep on couch for a month or so. So I started to lie.
Sometimes telling a lie is being smart, but progressives and most politicians do it as a way of life.

Does anyone pine for the days when science was about verifiable, reproducible facts and not politics? How long til’ we start revoking planets because racists and sexists and bigots and whites discovered them all? We could also throw out the calendar and the names of the months because it’s all whiteness and hatred.

Scientists are HUMAN. That means they come to the table with biases, preconceived solutions, …. and venom for those who disagree with their findings. The name-calling and pure vitriol amongst competing scientific views is a sight to behold …. as contentious as a religious debate, which makes sense, since most scientists view their craft as The Only True Religion.
Then there’s confirmation bias, selection bias, sampling bias, testing bias …. and a host of other biases that plague all humans. Scientists are not immune to any of this. In fact, the article link below states that no scientist is immune from “philosophical bias”. They write;
As a quick example, let’s look at The Evil Corona Virus. Scientists have identified more than 2,000 human genes linked to COVID-19. A research team at Northwestern University analyzed over 10,000 studies. Of the 2,000+ genes associated with Covid only 611 were included in the studies. And of that three genes accounted for 25% of the total research! This is good unbiased “science”???
And then there’s this HUGE bias against Christians;
This is disconcerting. Biases affect outcome. A scientist with erroneous biases … “Evolution is a fact/ God id dead!” … will inevitably produce erroneous findings, in part or in total.
So …. sadly, for me, in this Everything Is Fake World, I no longer even trust science … well, at least not as blindly as I used to do. Holding science and scientists in high regard without rigorous vetting (and who has time and expertise for that?) is done so only to your own detriment.
And even this is questionable. MANY scientists will not declare their religious affiliation because of the hostilities they would suffer from their colleagues. They can lose their tenure, secular jobs and research funding if they openly declare who they are, cancelled.
Plus, they can lose their ability to publish their findings in journals which the left always uses to discredit them. The left says the Christians don’t publish in peer reviewed journals so they are not real scientists, then go on to mock them. The strawman is that the journal gate keepers will not publish their work, period, regardless of quality. Its their way of eliminating debate and censorship, its publish or perish. And yes there are other journals where they do publish and IS peer reviewed.
There have been studies that have shown that two thirds of papers submitted for review, especially in the medical research field, are either outright fraudulent, contain gross errors or methodology was incompetent. So yes the scientific community is rife with political malfeasance and always has been.
