My father passed this last July, after his 8 year decline from Alzheimer’s. I witnessed my nuclear engineer Dad decline rapidly. Joe reminds me of my Dad circa 2013. Already unable to take care of himself, virtually no short term memory. He was able to read aloud any thing put in front of him, even if he did not understand what he was saying.
Sad to hear that. It’s always unfortunate to watch someone you respect fade away.
