The love has faded as we never should have had a mask mandate, a closure of businesses, or capacity caps in TX. Especially when you see states like SD that NEVER did. TX was supposed to be a state that would lead a charge like that but “Emperor Greg” folded like a @#$%^& and the people of TX did not push back like they should have (or like I thought they would have). Some smaller towns and such just ignored it all but the state as a whole was like anywhere else with morons driving in cars with masks and outside exercising with masks, and I even watched a couple strolling along the Beach on Mustang Island with masks on…….
My guess is some of these “Red State” govs are realizing after speeches like SD gov gave at CPAC that they are not going to have a future if they do not change. Mississippi gov just did the same as TX.

I posted earlier but that comment has disappeared…ah well. As to Abbott, he’s in deep doodie for his role in the winter storm debacle. I daresay this is a means of taking attention away from that tiny episode. No matter, I will rejoice in not covering my face, being able to breathe normally and, well, I AM a fan of the social distancing, too many people around me make me nervous. Speaking of social distancing…

In other news, seems an SUV and a cement truck collided in CA. FIFTEEN people died in a two vehicle crash, the SUV had twenty seven passengers squashed inside it. Doing the math (racist but, oh well) and giving an approximate weight of 150 lbs. per person, the SUV was carrying 4,050lbs. inside, wonder how the wheels held that weight much less stopping distance…There are two thousand pounds in a ton, BTW.

That ^asshat is a pussy — he should’ve had the balls to do this 10 months ago when it became evidently clear, after 2 weeks of “flattening the curve”, that bodies weren’t piling up in the streets. My RINO gubner wasn’t much better either, though — that’s for damn sure.

Haven’t read the article, and I don’t know about anyone else, but that picture looks staged — the truck appears to be kissing the SUV…

Please, these are Mexicans, they have a history of jamming up cheek to jowl in motor vehicles. There was an old racist joke about why Santa Ana only had four thousand troops at the Alamo and the answer was….he only had four pickups and three station wagons.

Border agents chased the truck after it fled from agents, ran over spike strips, and through another fence before driving through the desert and crashing into a wash.

Ten people were crammed into the pickup truck. Several were injured because there were too many people in the truck, and they all could not wear seat belts.

My wife and stepdaughter are whiter than I am and I am of British Isle ancestors. Her ex husband has blue eyes and is confused with Tom Selleck all of the time. My stepson is also very pale skinned and also very smart. He graduated MIT on full scholarship with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. Earned his medical degree at Cornell and is going to finish his residency there this year I believe.

My wife’s family can all be described this way as none of them are dark skinned. They are all educated professionals and business owners. They have mostly all lived and worked in the US, have legal residency or are even now US citizens.

They choose to live in MX but are free to travel back and forth as they please and so so often for business. Hell, even her 98 year old Grandfather who owns a massive ranch in MX lived and worked in the US and still as active residency.

So yes, there are many pale skinned Mexicans who are educated and don’t have to risk their life crossing the desert to cram cheek to jowl in an SUV in the hope of finding work here.

Have you ever visited Mexico City? There are white people everywhere.

Have you seen Patti’s Mexican Table on PBS? She is a beautiful women.

Yeah, but don’t you get twice the house in DFW for the money – compared to most metro areas? So Texas property taxes per dollar of home value may be high but the tax per square foot is low? A co-worker moved from his $300k suburban house in MN to the DFW area and bought a $300k house (about 6 years ago). He said it was like a mansion. When he sold it for $375k a couple years later and moved back, he spent the same amount (~$375,000) but was back in a little house in the ‘burbs.

I understand that Austin is expensive as fuck, however.

My total property taxes on a 1300 sq ft house on a 1/2 acre lot here in the Texas Hill Country is just over $900 with Homestead exemption and over 65 exemption. Without the exemptions, total taxes would be $2700.

In Aledo, just outside Ft. Worth, my old house is now rating $9,600 in taxes for the privilege of paying the mortgage on holy Texas soil. No, the house is quite typical for a metro/suburban home. that 65 exemption is actually a tax freeze at the current rate upon reaching 65, unless your county has an add’l exemption. My current home in NC, although a very different kind of house, is comparable, and my property taxes just went up to $1,284…a year.

Mygirl....maybe
  falconflight
March 2, 2021 8:32 pm

It goes county by county. In my neck of the woods you need over ten plus acres to apply for Ag Exemptions. You also have to do something specifically agricultural. If you raise chickens you can only declare for the land the chickens actually use.

I have cattle and cut hay so that covers my usage. You can’t declare horses unless you’re breeding them, and there’s minimums on what all you can have vis a vis livestock per acre. It’s not easy to get the exemption and if you buy land that didn’t have the exemption then you had to pay regular tax for five years and then go prove that you’d been using the land agriculturally during that period.

The house Ms Freud and I lived in … just 5 miles away …. slightly larger at 1700 sq ft but a smaller lot …. was $13,000. And the year she died we got a notice that taxes would increase by over 20%, so now it’s over $15,000 …. for a fucking 1,700 sq ft ranch.

Guess who was standing next to Abbott when he made the announcement…

“House Bill 3, filed this week by State Rep. Dustin Burrows (R–Lubbock), has been titled the Texas Pandemic Response Act.

Rather than eliminate the ability of the governor to issue edicts during pandemics, it instead establishes a new section of code to issue “pandemic disasters.” Those emergency powers are largely the same as the current disaster powers Abbott used to justify his edicts and mandates over the past year, with the “force and effect of law.”

Though each “pandemic disaster” may only last 30 days, the legislation allows the governor to renew the orders indefinitely. And though the Legislature may terminate the disaster, they are largely powerless to do so, given the fact that only the governor can call them into a special session when they are not meeting—which is the majority of the time, for Texas’ part-time Legislature.

“It grants the governor authority to do all the things he already did that we’ve all been screaming about,” said Fran Rhodes, president of the True Texas Project.”

Again, Abbott is no friend of liberty.

It only took a few microseconds for the ass-clown fear-mongers to crawl out from under their rocks. FOLLOW THE SCIENCE, they say.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins

“It’s unfortunate that on a day we record 25 deaths, which takes us above 3,000 [COVID-19] deaths for Dallas County since COVID began nearly a year ago, the governor has removed all of the state orders that he designed to protect you and the people that you care about from contracting COVID. But for us here in North Texas, and for all Texans, we need to focus not on what the governor tells you the law allows, but on what doctors and the facts and the science that we all know well at this point tell us is necessary to keep us safe and give us our best chance of reaching herd immunity as quickly as possible.”

.

Stephen Love, the president/CEO of the DFW Hospital Council;

“… it is very unfortunate. The COVID-19 virus with variants is still here and we have not achieved herd immunity. This decision will cause the community spread to increase, forcing our exhausted healthcare heroes to diagnose, treat and save the lives of newly infected patients.”

.
I hope both those scumbags choke to death on a bag of dicks in their sleep tonight.

Ah, Yes. The new variants of the scam bug sweeping the world.
What say we ask Stephen Love to explain why hospitals are getting paid to classify any patient with flu or lung related illnesses as Corona? And why have influenza and pneumonia death #’s flatlined?
Yeah. Pun intended.
And how many hospital patients were put on respirators, and
how much were the hospitals getting paid for that treatment plan?
And how many deaths were checked with false-positive-riddled PCR tests post mortem, so they
could gather in a few million more Coronabucks?
Further, WHO is paying the hospitals? Another intentional pun? Or tongue in cheek?
Ask the esteemed Lover if DFW area hospitals ever prescribe HCQ or Ivermectin in early stage
people who are sick with symptoms that they just LOVE to call Corona Virus.
Vitamin C? Vitamin D? Zinc supplementation?
Follow the money.
We’re hip to your stink, Steph.
Blaming Abbot for thwarting your revenue stream is ignoring: First, do no harm.
But then, are you even a Doctor? Or just the President / CFO for DFW area hospitals? Hmmm.

Why is that important to me? Because I spend a lot of time here, and to use my time more efficiently I ALWAYS read comments made by some and NEVER by others. Anons kind of “force” me to read their posts … although, even here, I rarely ever read a long Anon post.

Lastly, posting as Anon is really stupid IF the Anon thinks they can actually hide from the Evil Fuckers tracking us. You can’t hide from Da Man!!!

Do stick around Anonymously Jessup!

True, but people deliberately using ‘anonymous’ instead of having a handle that people can reference ( or having a handle and choosing not to use it) can get up to some serious trolling and shit stirring. Ed is my real name, BTW, but it’s enough anonymity for me, just not using my last name.

That would be an interesting question. I think so. a municipal judge is part of the judiciary. a Texas County Judge is akin to a County Commissioner.

The County Judge is quite the powerful position in TX.

Yes it is.

To this day, the job description of county judge varies from county to county, usually based on size. The smaller the county, the broader the responsibilities. However, in all counties, the judge serves as the presiding officer of the commissioners court and leads emergency management, such as fighting the coronavirus pandemic. In Dallas County, the five-member court’s duties include setting the tax rate for the county and Parkland Health & Hospital System.

“County judges are significant, especially in emergency situations,” said Walter L. Buenger, chief historian for the Texas State Historical Association. Buenger is intimately familiar with the duties of the county judge. His father was the county judge in Pecos. “If there is a disaster, like a flood, as far back as I can remember, emergency situations have been handled by the county.”

Yes. Clay Jenkins is a Tyrant. He is ugly too and just loves to be on camera. The Dallas City Council actually censured him early on because he was taking his mandates too far. That was led by John Wily Price who is also a tool

Jenkins needed to choke on them back in June. He was on the news telegraphing the whole plan with a color coded emergency level with “Green” being the “New Normal” after the vaccine. MF has been in on it since day 1.

the whole concept of ’emergency’ begs the question, if an official’s authority is granted to him by a constitution, then his effective suspension of some parts of that consituttion (what else could it possibly be, when the constitution describes a list of inalienable rights, and then some official tries to forcibly alienate those rights?) , would it not also at the very same moment invalidate the very legal foundation for his power as an official?
the constitution itself does not state any exceptions for ’emergencies’ , and any ’emergency’ conditions are pretty much by definition extralegal.
if these officials feel that the constitution cramps their style, then on the one hand that tells us the constitution is working as intended, and on the other hand tells us that those officials have no place anywhere near government.

Excellent point. These emer. powers generally are limited to 30 days and require consent of the legislature for renewal; so the complicity for this shit runs deep in both parties and all branches of gubmint. The ultimate source of the corruption is the Fed — fake money means it’s easy to buy fake politicians and fake media; the “consent” of the sheeple derived therefrom, via manufactured pretexts and other FFs, results in the power they (TPTB) crave. It’s a thin veil of fake power, actually, and the lies will implode on them at some point.

In Florida where it’s been that way for months, various cities, counties and stores just ignore DeSantis and require masks and all the rest of the nonsense anyway. The CPAC meeting in Orlando is a prime example. People were kicked out for ignoring the mask requirement.

I disrespect them for wearing masks, totally. I have nothing to do with that club. Why are we subjected to them? Why wasn’t there a mask protest?
All groups get ruined.

Before any blowback I have not ever worn a mask. I am lucky that I didn’t have a job to keep and I live in a relatively relaxed place, for sure, but it got dicey.

Joe,

There are legions of propagandized, brainwashed, and dumbed down fools pushing one another out of the way to be killed…and they condescendingly want everyone they know to get in line behind them.

My wife has an uncle…eight years older than me…(I’m 71) who has lived in Florida for the last 35 years…former Navy UDT (after Korea but before Nam) who on a phone call to my wife and her Father, his older brother (I was not on it – it would have been ugly) bragged about him and his co-morbid riddled Karen wife getting their second jab…of the two part suicide is painless ‘useless eater elimination bum rush injection’…and actually implied to my wife and his older brother (my Father in- Law who lives with us) they may cancel a future visit because ‘WE’ haven’t taken the poison disguised as a health/life normalization bennie…implying ‘THEY’ would be at risk because ‘WE’ haven’t been injected.

You can’t make this kind of bat shit looney tune shit up.

You can’t make up how propagandized, brainwashed, and dumbed down these two, and many more millions are.

Now…me and him have always gotten along…but have not been around each other often…with close to decades in-between conversations.

They both are the only family members that voted for Biden, and I was told both were raving Obama fans, both have a laundry list of co-morbid complications. I believe they have sealed their own fates…will soon reap what they have sowed…and I doubt if they have much time left to visit anyone.

I don’t think we have any idea what it is. They might even prove it is safe sometime in the future (not that I would take it.) It might not be meant to do anything, but even the ubiquitous flu shot affects fertility.

But who knows what might come sometime, next year or a decade from now? Especially after years of compliance with fake health guidelines, or god forbid all these kids who may be permanently ‘scared’ and wearing masks their whole childhood.

These are the same people after all who openly want get rid of whites.

Putting this here in this thread because folks have been talking about property taxes being too high where they live. Folks should be counting blessings not to have the misfortune of living in Baltimore where the lil’ Einsteins are absolutely tearing it up with their GPA’s.

I saw this article linked thru Liberty Daily and had to send it along.

Da Black Baby Momma is pissed!

Muh oppression!

This bit from da artikle takes the cake..

In his four years at Augusta Fells, France’s son earned a GPA of 0.13. He only passed three classes, but his transcripts show his class rank is 62 out of 120. This means, nearly half his classmates, 58 of them, have a 0.13 grade point average or lower.

Momma should be proud of her son. He has a 0.13 grade point average and still managed to beat half the class…

The article is linked below.

That level of failure is just stunning. Makes me wonder if he is actually a genius. Even random answers to testing would have generated a better gpa. To fail that badly he had to know the correct answers and purposely select the wrong ones. All he had to do is just show up and he would have been the valedictorian of that class!! Yeah, I know he’s not a genius. But it was fun poking at him. He’s just a fucktard. It seems one of at least 120.

Will someone explain how the school “failed” him? One of my HS teachers explained that he taught, answered questions and tallied the points on our exams the we EARNED. He had his job; TO TEACH, and we had ours; TO LEARN.

Best of Luck
