Is The Israeli-Palestine Conflict About Natural Gas?

This is news to me. Perhaps you all are smarter than me, and will YAWN at this story.  But in 2002, 1.6 TRILLION cubic feet of recoverable gas was discovered in the Gaza Marine. Hmmmmm ….. Jews, money, politics …. this war might have NOTHING to do with the book of Revelation!!

==================================

Everyone is wrong about Israel-Palestine – here’s how the pursuit of huge gas reserves and money is fuelling the conflict

There are trillions of tonnes of recoverable gas lying underneath the disputed waters off Gaza, Israel, Syria and Lebanon. And the Israelis want to make sure they alone control and profit from it.

Few topics rile people up on both sides of the political aisle more than the Israel-Palestine question. It is without doubt one of the most – if not the most – explosively divisive issues on the planet.

For example, when I have criticised Saudi Arabia’s criminal bombardment of Yemen, I have never once even contemplated fearing a backlash of people accusing me of being anti-Islamic or labelling me an Islamophobe. (Sure, Saudi nationals critical of its government’s actions may have to avoid entering into their local Saudi consulate upon invitation, but that’s for a different reason.)

Likewise, if I write about Indonesia’s treatment of the population of West Papua, described by some observers as equating to a “slow motion genocide,” I rarely have to worry about being accused of being anti-Indonesian, or racist or bigoted in any other way for that matter.

For those of you who don’t know, West Papua is home to one of the world’s largest gold mines known as the Grasberg Mine, which is co-owned by the American mining firm Freeport McMoRan and the Indonesian government. Curiously enough, Freeport McMoRan is Indonesia’s largest taxpayer – it provided the government with $33 billion in direct and indirect benefits from 1992 to 2004, and has given millions directly to senior military and police officers.

The real reason behind enacting what can only be described as a military dictatorship which brutalises the population of West Papua has been to preserve this literal gold mine since the rights to the mine were first given to Freeport McMoRan in 1967.

Is this a controversial take on the issue of West Papua?

Believe it or not, it is possible to view the Israel-Palestine conflict through the same lens with the same level of controversy as the above paragraph.

In 2000, UK oil company BG Group discovered an estimated 1.6 trillion cubic feet of recoverable gas in the Gaza Marine. As noted by Anais Antreasyan in the University of California’s Journal of Palestine Studies, Israel’s continued desire to control Gaza is due to its aim of making “Palestinian access to the Marine-1 and Marine-1 gas wells impossible”, with the added goal of not only “preventing the Palestinians from exploiting their own resources” but to “integrate the gas fields off Gaza into the adjacent Israeli offshore installations.”

According to Antreasyan, this is part and parcel of a broader strategy of:

“…separating the Palestinians from their land and natural resources in order to exploit them, and, as a consequence, blocking Palestinian economic development. Despite all formal agreements to the contrary, Israel continues to manage all the natural resources nominally under the jurisdiction of the PA, from land and water to maritime and hydrocarbon resources.”

Israel barely has enough energy resources of its own to maintain its current exports. Following the discovery of the $4 billion worth of natural gas in Gaza in 2000, there were also later other monumental discoveries of gas in Syria and Lebanon, two known adversaries of the Israeli government. Israel has for some time now shown a keen eagerness to intervene in both countries (for completely unrelated reasons, I’m guessing).

Earlier this year, fresh rounds of talks had begun between Israel, the Palestinian Authority (PA), Qatar and the EU in respect of Israel’s goal of exporting Eastern Mediterranean gas to Europe. The problem has been, at least as far as the US and Israel are concerned, that Hamas has continued to present itself as a thorn in the side of these negotiations, denouncing their legitimacy entirely.

While many on both the left and right, including former US president Donald Trump, are quick to argue that the only reason the US has ventured into the Middle East was for oil and natural resources, very few seem capable of acknowledging the very same issues are also at the heart of the Middle East’s most explosive conflict.

This is despite a UN report, and a US Army study which was commissioned under the Obama Administration which indicated that the recent decision to proceed with a $735 million arms sale to Israel is due to Israel’s aspired domination of the East Mediterranean’s energy resources, and US tacit support for this eventuation. In fact, the 2019 UN report which until recently was unreported, concluded that “occupation has impoverished the Palestinian people, undermined their capacity to access and utilise their resources and denied them the right to move freely within their homelands.”

Occupation? Oh… that’s right. Israel is currently the military power occupying Palestinian territories. The same military power which was brutalising Palestinians at the al-Aqsa mosque while simultaneously forcibly evicting Palestiniansfrom their homes, which in turn led to Hamas’ decision to retaliate using rocket fire. But we don’t talk about that, because only Israel has the “right to defend itself.”

Except it’s the occupying power, so technically focusing on Israel’s “right” to do anything is misstating the issue. Israel doesn’t have rights – what it has is a series of obligations under international law. You know, obligations to ensure Palestinian people receive respect for their persons, religious practices, be treated humanely, be protected from violence, be provided with food and medical supplies, facilitate relief supplies, to name a few.

While pro-Zionists like to argue that anyone who pushes back against Israel’s protracted assaults on Gaza are either anti-Semitic or terrorist-apologists (or both), in an ideal world there would be no escaping these facts. If discussing these facts paints a negative picture of Israel and its actions, then so be it. And yet, in some cases, talking about these issues can quite literally get you fired.

In July 2014, journalist Nafeez Ahmed learnt this the hard way when he published an article on the Guardian website which claimed Israel’s brutal assault on Gaza during Operation Protective Edge was rooted in Israel’s desire to control Palestinian gas. The Guardian axed his blog completely shortly afterwards.

Talk about “cancel culture.” Yet somehow, I haven’t seen any conservatives complaining about “censorship” and “cancel culture” rushing to Ahmed’s defence.

I’m left uninspired by the fact that drilling easily goes sideways and therefore holding Gaza from above only creates more problems than its worth.
If the powers that be, wherever, need an excuse to conquer or defend territory, then I guess NG is as good as any.

You might also want to have a look at Genie Energy, this company has exclusive drilling/oil rights in the contested Golan Heights area (between Israel and Syria). The Golan Heights is where the oil is, and obviously will never be returned to Syria. When looking at Genie, you will note that on the board are some real scumbags.

Forget natural gas, you can survive without it. What you CAN’T survive without is ….water.

“The Arab-Israeli dispute is a conflict about land – and maybe just as crucially the water which flows through that land.

The so-called Six-Day War in 1967 arguably had its origins in a water dispute – moves to divert the River Jordan, Israel’s main source of drinking water.”

Security analysts have long warned that increasing water stress could destabilize the region. Already, water inequality between Palestinians and Israelis adds to the tensions that frequently spark into violence. The Israeli government, which has developed sophisticated systems for desalination, waste reduction and transport to provide drinkable water, has installed reliable water systems for Israeli settlers in the West Bank and for farmers on the Israeli side of the Gaza border. Climate change will widen the gap between the two sides, since Israel’s infrastructure and economy are better placed to adapt to climate threats.

The major soon coming Ezekiel 38&39 conflict against Israel will be from Russia, Turkey, Iran and others for spoil and plunder.
It will be against Israel or what God calls “My Land”

All land originally given to Israel by God is God’s land and everyone else within the original boundaries are the so called “occupiers”.

God will completely annihilate the invading armies of His land on Israel’s behalf.

Ezekiel 38
10 ‘This is what the Lord God says: “It will come about on that day, that [g]thoughts will come into your mind and you will (T)devise an evil plan, 11 and you will say, ‘I will go up against the land of [h](U)unwalled villages. I will go against those who are (V)at rest, who live securely, all of them living without walls and having no bars or gates, 12 to (W)capture spoils and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the ruins that are now inhabited, and against the people who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who live at the [i]center of the world.’ 13 (X)Sheba and (Y)Dedan and the merchants of (Z)Tarshish with all its [j]villages will say to you, ‘Have you come to capture spoils? Have you assembled your contingent to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to capture great (AA)spoils?’”’

14 “Therefore prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “On that day when My people Israel are (AB)living securely, will you not know it? 15 (AC)You will come from your place out of the remote parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding horses, a large assembly and a mighty army; 16 and you will come up against My people Israel like a cloud to cover the land. It shall come about in the last days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may (AD)know Me when I (AE)show Myself holy through you before their eyes, Gog.”

17 ‘This is what the Lord God says: “Are you the one of whom I spoke in former days through My servants the prophets of Israel, who (AF)prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring you against them? 18 It will come about on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” declares the Lord God, “that My fury will mount up in My (AG)anger. 19 In My (AH)zeal and in My blazing wrath I declare that on that day there will certainly be a great [k](AI)earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 (AJ)The fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, all the crawling things that crawl on the earth, and all mankind who are on the face of the earth will shake at My presence; and the (AK)mountains will be thrown down, the steep pathways will [l]collapse, and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 And I will call for a (AL)sword against [m]him on all My mountains,” declares the Lord God. “(AM)Every man’s sword will be against his brother. 22 With plague and with blood I will enter into (AN)judgment with him; and I will rain on him and on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, [n]a torrential rain, (AO)hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23 So I will prove Myself great, show Myself holy, and (AP)make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the Lord.”’

All land originally given to Israel by God is God’s land and everyone else within the original boundaries are the so called “occupiers”.

Since the Zionists were themselves thrown out of Israel, they are the “occupiers” now and thus their “Israel” isn’t really that at all. This is why they hate the Palestinians so much. So when God punishes these evil, murderous swine who are doing everything they can to destroy Israel’s true history and replace it with lies — gee, does any of this sound familiar? — it’s gonna be epic, apparently. The Zionists know they’re in a glass house, but they still throw stones out the windows. When God comes, He’ll be leading the TRUE believers against these people.

I do believe a while back, in a post about End Times, you asked if anyone could give a feasible explanation about why Russia would want to confront Israel. I mentioned then that among many other things there was the natural gas issue, and their competition in supplying Europe with gas.
Ring a bell?
Doesn’t take a rocket scientist (well, who trusts them anymore, anyway) to see all of the many threads and pressures in that area that are pushing the entire region into more and more conflict. Whatever conclusion you draw is up to you, but don’t act so bewildered and skeptical about things that can be traced back a long time and have been talked about here at TBP many times over.
Also, don’t be naive; whether you agree with their reasons or not, if there was ZERO, ZIP, NADA resources in the area the arabs and Muslims would want the Jews/Israel wiped out. Period. If you trust any of those assholes, you are hopelessly self-deluded.
This is all just icing on the cake and an increased reason for conflict.

Israel has about 17 times the proven reserves than their consumption.

Any other characteristics ya wanna discuss?
Coon killin’?

? So are you saying Russia is stealing it, or Israel?

Why would Israel steal reserves from Gaza, discovered in 2002, when they discovered the Leviathon field off of Haifa in 2012 that is simply humongous?
If they actually wanted to destroy Gaza it would’ve been done a long long time ago, and even lately. And they don’t have to steal something they have way too much of already. That is why they are pushing to supply Europe so hard, plus they don’t trust Russia and don’t want to see it grow even stronger, and get Europe even more under it’s thumb. (Of course, no country anywhere trusts any other country, so that’s nothing new.) Israel controls Gaza, whether anyone wants to admit it or not, and doesn’t have to allow any gas production at all.
So this article simply does not add up.

It is always about Greater Israel. Every move they make is an incremental grab for territory, or a way to destabilize their neighbors. They have overthrown governments in the region that were friendly, just because anything that isn’t a shithole is a potential threat to them. It’s never really about oil/energy anymore.

It’s the same thing they do in the West. Grab power everytime you can get away with it. Divide and degenerate any cohesive society, because they are the only ones who can effectively resist them.

That it’s a revelation unrevealed to so many what states & governments are means, can only mean, that all those books are already written, that tabula rasa implausibly deniably covers those books, & that no library books can or will make any difference at all.

This has everything to do with the book of revelation and Genesis and all the other books and extra biblical books like Enoch. It begins way before Eden in celestial prehistory, but the human part begins in Genesis.
Everything else is subordinate but unless you are willing to wrap your head around heteropaternal superfecundation in Eden it won’t make a lick of sense.

Gotta throw in my 2 cents worth I suppose.

It was brought up about why Russia would want to attack Israel. The fact is, it just depends on which Israel you’re talking about because there are two Israels.

First, there’s the Satanic Israel state: a huge satanic deception, brought into being by war (honoring the god of forces) by a certain banking family (who also interestingly controls the buying and selling in the world today), bringing in the New World Order, living in constant war and strife, with bars, gates and walls. Its capital is Jerusalem, aka as Babylon, in whom was found the blood of the prophets and of the saints and of all that were slain upon the earth (Rev.17:6), where God’s Two Witnesses will prophecy against the synagogue of Satan.

Russia has no interest in attacking this Israel because Russia is owned by it, just like the U.S. is owned by it. This Israel is in league with the 10 Kings (Dan. 7:24; Rev. 13:1) which I believe to be Muslim, and it seems will also be destroyed by them eventually (Rev. 17:16-17). The State is not entitled to inherit the land from God because they do not meet the conditions of obedience and faith in God’s Word, who is Christ.

And then there’s God’s Israel: God reveals His plans to bring His people, called Israel, back into His land in Ezekiel chapters 34,35,36,and 37. These are they whom Christ will have redeemed, or bought back. This Israel hasn’t materialized yet, but being born in a day (Isa. 66:8), comes into existence when the “woman” flees into the wilderness (the mountains of Israel) and God protects her for 3 and 1/2 years (Rev. 12.) during the Great Tribulation. Because God protects her, she is living in peace and safety, WITHOUT bars, gates and walls (Eze. 38:11). It is towards the END of the Great Tribulation that the Ezekiel 38 war takes place and it is THIS Israel that the many countries wish to destroy but God intervenes.

I don’t doubt that oil is a big motivator in the Middle East. The big benefit of Satanism is wealth, but it all isn’t over the oil. It’s over the land and people as well. It is a spiritual battle. The 10 kings and the “little horn” are currently busy “devouring and breaking in pieces and stamping the residue with its feet” (Dan. 7:7): Syria, Iraq, Yemen, etc,. They have already subdued 2 kings quite blatantly, Hussein and Gaddafi, although it is not noticed by Evangelical Christianity because of their Dispensationalism. I suspect a third, Morsi of Egypt, who died in a soundproof cage in the courtroom. (Dan. 7:8; 7:24)
