James Bamford clearly laid out the spying in his 2009 book ‘The Shadow Factory’. He spoke about land lines, but obviously technology progressed. Also, go back and ask Joseph Nacchio of Qwest how refusing to cooperate with the NSA turns out.

NSA STELLARWIND
So back in April my buddy, his son in-law are discussing our upcoming trip to Nebraska,Kansas and South Dakota to hunt. I’s been messing with his son in-law for weeks about the upcoming trip. I told him that morning that we had a “No Shaving Policy” on the hunting trip . He said hey no problem. I said I meant man-scaping!
So the next day what pops up on all three of our phones when were on a website….a man-scaping ad. It freaked my buddy out. He said they do listen in on what we say !
I have an old Nokia 830 and I never had one add on it. But on the other end i only use it as a phone or an accessory to connect my laptop to internet using bluetooth tethering or usb tethering (depending on the charge on the battery)
I think it is the Fagbook app. Same thing happened on my wife’s phone when we were discussing living arrangements for my mid 90’s mother after my father passed.
