You may have read last week that Denmark is opening up and ending all Covid restrictions “due to the success of its vaccination program.”
The only correct response to this is lol.
England, Scotland, and Israel are among the most vaccinated countries in the world, and they have seen huge spikes in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths since July.
Here’s what’s really going on. The continental European countries got started late on their mass vaccination programs. They tried to cheap out with Pfizer and Moderna, which weren’t having it. Eventually they gave in.
But as a result, their vaccination campaigns were months behind the United States in the spring, and even further behind Britain. As late as June 1, only 22 in 100 people in Denmark were fully vaccinated. As of now 74 in 100 are.
Thus these countries are now in what I call the “happy vaccine valley” – the three-to four-month period following the second dose when antibodies are high enough that the vaccines actually appear to work. (For those of you keeping score at home, that’s two weeks of negative efficacy after the first shot, a month of maybe 50% efficacy, three months of near-complete protection, and then a rapid fall to what looks like 0% protection within three months. Science!)
I assume the Danes are smart enough to know exactly where they stand. They also know that since they have a healthy population, Covid-19 is at most a trivial problem for them on a societal basis.
How trivial?
Denmark has about 6 million people.
As of Sept. 9, about 2,600 of them had died of Covid since March 2020.
How many of those people were under 50?
Twenty-six. Yes, 26. Veintiseis. Just over 1 per month.
Five were under 30. Five, out of 2.1 million Danes.
Yes, you read that right.
This chart is a bit hard to read, but the key is the rightmost column – deaths (only males are visible). It’s stratified by decade, youngest to oldest. As you can see, more people over 90 have died than under 70 – this is not uncommon in countries that don’t have terrible problems with obesity, like ‘Merica.

The Danes – whether they admit the truth or not, probably not – have rightly decided that enough is enough and they can’t twist themselves into knots forever for an illness that produces numbers like this. So they are taking advantage of the happy vaccine valley to follow their neighbors to the north (Hello Swedish model!).
Pretty soon cases will start rising again, but by then it will be too late. They’ll say they’ve done all they can and that Covid is just like the flu, endemic and manageable. And everyone will ignore the fact that it always was!
I guess this qualifies as a happy ending.

I’m thinking Danish citizenship and related fees ares looking like my next major expenditure.
And I have some Dutch and German in my genetic heritage, so it would be kind of like going back to my ancestral home.
My wife has an out, as her ancestors are from Denmark, she could somewhat easily get citizenship. But we’re staying here and I’ll die to protect my freedom that God gifted me. And she’ll be an indirect beneficiary

Don’t get too hopeful. Denmark is a pretty controlled place, like all of Scandinavia.

With the UK giving up on vaccine passports, the Davos gang has been losing lately. We’re rightly worried about authoritarianism in the US, but much of the world is currently incapable of maintaining a vaccine passport system. As that realization hits, it should make some American progressives give it up.

Nope. When the cases spike, they’ll crack down hard. The lockdowns, mandates, curfews, fines, etc have to be ratcheted, with easing of restrictions for a period followed by even harder restrictions. Three steps toward police state, one step back. Rinse, & repeat. I’d call it the Australian or Kiwi model; but, really it’s the everywhere model. Sometimes, once you’ve set the hook, you let the big fish run with some line to tire himself out before you reel him back in.
Three steps forward, one step back. Rinse, repeat as the playbook says.
Any reports on morbidity? I wonder about the virus and the vaccine morbidity and how they compare.
They will never be allowed to admit the truth.
It is truly sad that folks are finally saying that this virus is just going to be endemic and we are going to have to live with it. That’s exactly what millions were saying in March of last year (certainly by June). The right response to that is THERAPEUTICS and keeping your country open without restrictions. A bit too late for that. Now hundreds of “variants” are more likely our future, all brought about by deadly “vaccines.” Denmark will likely go back to their old lockdown ways when the “vaccine” injuries really begin kicking in.
The coming winter flu season will become the next covid variant to instill fear with. I think maybe even the sheeple are starting to stray from the flock, tired of the whole shitshow.

Yep. The good old seasonal flu will be reimagined as “The Deadly Armageddon Variant is here!”
I suspect a big part of this is going to be all the confusion and back-and-forthing of “Official Policy.”
Just like with masks, like with the lock-downs, like with contact tracing, like with threatened “vax-ports,” what they want to do is to keep everybody on edge, and not know what is true, false, science, pseudo-science, policy/mandate/law.
They want to exhaust us with contradiction and nonsense. So when they’ve gotten everyone to give up, we’ll be much more willing to let them take “care” of us.
I hope that, rather than exhausting us, they just really piss us all off. I think that would turn out much better in the end.
