I’m really appreciative and I mean really. appreciative. of your good efforts on my behalf. The woods I hunted in were behind the cul de sac and at that time extended for about 5 miles. I’m sure that’s no longer the case. One of my fonder memories I have of that house was during the Cuban Missle Crisis. My mother who passed 2 months ago at 96, frantically carrying food, water, blankets and various provisions down the stairs to the basement. Her beautiful maternal spirit was going to save her little family even if there was no salvation to be had. I live in the SF Bay Area now and have since ’72 when I was discharged from The Corps. Left Virginia and never looked back. Went back to see some friends I grew up with and realised leaving was the best decision I’d ever made. It was like time had stood still for them. That’s not a “knock” it’s just not what I wanted for myself. Today is the Marine Corps birthday Tomorrow is Veterans Day and I’ll be climbing the hill to our city’s VN Memorial. I’ve had a full and fascinating life. And I want to go pay my regards to some guys that got cheated out of that. Semper Fi.

Kings Hwy and go about 3-400 yards there’s a trail that leads off into some woods. That’s where I assumed you went to shoot your 22. Your mother sounds like an angel. I know mine is.

It was incredible seeing that. As you drove the “cul” I remembered each family that lived in those dozen homes. Especially I remember the man that lived directly across the street from us. His name was Wray, 8th Air Force, WWII. His lower jaw had been shot off on a mission and he could only mumble when trying to talk and constantly drooled. He died of a heart attack in 1966. I remember watching them stretcher him down his driveway in the snow. Think of it. That man lived like that for 20 more years after the war ended. Even today I could almost weep thinking about what I, what all of us owe that man.

I love my dogs and want the best for them. They guard my house and they get as happy abd healthy life as possible in return. No masks for them or me. That woman is beyond help. Not as smart as my dogs.
