Gotta say that I’m a little JEALLY of you Canadians right now.
Abigail,it gets much worse!
I after a lot of thinking and a little pontification have well…….,eh…..ordered a Canadian flag!
Ughh…….,I know, but lets face it,at the moment the leaf flag is a symbol of solidarity and resistance, tough pill to swallow but that is the hard truth!
I know,a lot of your are asking”James, are you already drunk?”,and sadly the answer is no(not yet!).
I will say if someone said a year ago I would buy a maple monkey flag I would have responded with a WTF expression and derisive laughter, but well, here we are.
This flag is for were I rent for work(NOT my actual home!)and I already have a American flag flying on the house along with a Lets Go Branden banner on the railing.I also depending on mood hang Gadsden/Stars&Bars/Blue Bonnie or if in a HL Mencken mood the Jolly Rodger. The leaf flag will hang with the banner.
OK,having admitted this in public and now on forum have to say one thing to you leafs.I will in no way watch/play or in any way participate in “curling”.Any of you want to test my resolve on this be aware I have 36″/24″/9″ rakes and tarps along with a 5 horsepower billy Goat leaf blower, you have been warned!
You want to take me moose riding that will be just fine!
Oh…..screw this noise,I need a beer!
To my fellow Americans,I am NOT a traitor but tough times creates strange bedfellows!
Hopefully you’re not going to drink one of those watered down American beers under my flag. You’ve been warned.
Francis, years back when you posted a link to your site here I was a bit hesitant due to Labatts/curling ect. to which you replied you did not think any issues, now, look where we are!
I ask again, used to enjoy Moosehead beer, you folks still make it?
I am drinking Blue Moon but flag not yet here, will take a shot or two of Jack under it,if not OK well then you send a few shots of what you folks consider”acceptable whiskey”!
Oh,and this grows, still willing to meet leafs on border to pass along smokes/booze and groceries if necc.,smokes/booze,what the hell else ya’s need?!
On a side note, are Ameromutt truckers in Canada eligible for the funds now being released,if so,will contribute,if not for any reason,we need to create a fund for them. They have earned it,with 4 degree temps. tomm. in Ottawa they may bring some warm air with them from the south,Rock on Leafs!
I don’t know about Moosehead. I drink Corona. 🙂
I have no idea how they’re splitting up the funds – just that truckers have to keep their receipts to prove expenses. I don’t see why it would matter if they were ‘Murican or Canajun trucks unless there were some weird tax implications I’m not aware of for paying out US truckers on the Canuck side of the border.
We’ll find out in time.
I just want to make sure ALL involved get a meal/nights rest/refuel ect.
Yes MooseHead is still being made…
Awesome, gonna see if I can get it still down here like decades ago.
Now,with that cleared, you folks still make Catamount?
I know, spelling wrong but was a great beer in me young days.
I figured at least for awhile you folks made better stuff because, well……….,no prohibition.
Four degrees? We scoff at your four degrees. It was -30 and windy when they rolled through my corner of SK a couple days ago. But there were about a thousand of us by the highway anyway. I’m so glad this has gotten some traction and has been such an inspiration worldwide. Thank you, Francis, for keeping it posted here.
And Francis, as a born and raised NC boy transplanted into Canadian soil many years ago, I have always appreciated your moniker, here and at ZH.
Moosehead is still out there.
Moose riding? That’s it. I’m filling out paperwork for my Canadian citizenship as we speak!
Not all moose are equal… avoid the tree moose… nasty…
For those aquatically inclined,Canada does also offer river beaver rides!
On a side note both the moose and beavers with properly sized saddle bags offer a great way to support folks with supplies and just a bit of good will!
Great job Francis!
Keep’em coming.
10-4.
Now the farmers are rolling in…. smeg’n awesome… another fringe group of people with unacceptable views… we got this folks… keep up the pressure and add ten lbs…
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Organizers…Two demands, non-negotiable
Shiny pony resigns… yesterday
ALL, EVERYTHING , covid related is flushed and never brought up again…
Send this baby castro a humiliating defeat, he HAS to resign…
Elon Musk could drop $10 000 000 on the sidewalk and, say he had sciatic pain, I believe he would go “fuck that, I ain’t pickin’ that shit up”, and go on his way. His “support” is nice, it promotes awareness of the movement, but I know he could make a very generous donation to the movement, without even feeling any financial pain, and THAT, would be what I call “support”. Acts, not just words…
He doesn’t owe us anything. To be honest I think it’s better that ‘we the people’ do this on our own without help from the heavy hitters. It show’s what we can accomplish collectively when we’re united.
He might not owe us anything (though I beg to differ: https://www.tesla.com/en_CA/support/incentives — those are the ones we see. if you look deeper, I’m sure there are other direct incentives, tax breaks and such), but the simple fact that we got heavy hitters to just talk about our movement is enough to show that we CAN accomplish much when we’re united. After that, a little help is always welcome. *Top donation right now is $25,000, and it is anonymous (I love that). He could do the same*
If Musk had 10 mil in cash stuffed down his trunks, that would explain the sciatica.
Unfortunately, in “MP Pierre Poilievre outs the corporate media” it becomes clear that even if this convoy is successful, Canadians will still have their work cut out for them in terms of achieving freedom … just like the U.S.
So called “Unacceptable Speech” that can have legal ramifications is an abomination, and so is anyone who presumes such infringements are acceptable.
This convoy, and a similar but larger convoy in the U.S., should have started 20+ years ago.
Better late than never. I applaud this effort. But we are all in a deep, deep hole of our own digging.
Anon, while I agree, time to build “ladders” out of this hole.
Tis interesting to note seems this trucker movement has to at least a degree gone worldwide, lets all get on board any way we can.
Nothing to see here. Apparently.
If it’s not on the news, it didn’t happen.
Next up, encircle the media (enemy) HQ, nothing in, nothing out.
Is this guy for real?
I just watched this interview.

MP Pierre Poilievre ,if so,way to go!
Go Canada!
Take it to the end.
What is the end?
I’m serious, I love this but what happens if they’re ignored?
To me personally, the end of tyrannical folks supported by regular folks:
Your results/thoughts may differ.
For one thing, they’ve clearly stated they’re ready to stay until it’s done, even expecting a month or so. But 2nd, the defiance and confidence to stop complying and the spreading awareness/coverage would be rising exponentially every day, especially since many other countries are starting their own convoys too, and that sounds to me like an assured slow kill at the least of the narrative. After that people would be emboldened and united to TAKE everything back and not wait for permission, and it would especially be the biggest nail yet in the coffin of media if ignored.
My point is more that for those reasons not in the psychopaths best interest, I don’t think they’re/or this movement worldwide is going to be ignored for long.
They will be ignored. That and the fact that Canadians have about a seven day attention span for anything serious means, down the memory hole as soon as it ends.
OK,thousands of trucks and folks ect.
How about some huge space heaters to keep a bunch of tube fed amps warm.
Why not in Ottawa have a few sets by Bachman/Turner /Overdrive,Triumph,April Wine/ect.
I get Rush not a option, damn shame and we Ameromutts miss them dearly, but still, put out what you have!
I will say late 70’s-80-‘s even liked Neil(crazy horse tours),now……..,not so much.
