I could be wrong but I just don’t think this will work out the way they think it will.

It means the end of firearms ownership.
It means control of how much alcohol you drink.
It means control of what you may buy to eat.
It means determining how far you may travel.

And oh so many more wondrous things in store for us.

Except for those people who know how to make or figure out how to make their own firearms, alcohol, ferment their own tobacco, produce their own food, have legs to carry them, etc, even how to make earthen ware, a brick kiln, and smelt their own copper / build their own motors if need be.

”Fermenting (A.K.A. sweating) Tobacco Leaves
This is the process by which ammonia is released from the leaf to make it more sociable. It can be done by heaping the tobacco into large piles called pylons that raise the temperature and humidity, or by use of a kiln with a heater and humidifier. Under the raised temperature and humidity, enzymes in the leaf cause it to ferment. It is not necessary to spray a fermenting solution on the leaf as some suggest – the enzymes will do it naturally. Sometimes this is also referred to as curing. This system of maturing tobacco leaves came from the days when tobacco was shipped by sail. The ship would sit in port for a few weeks, with very humid temperatures and bails stacked tight together. When the tobacco reached it’s destination, it was found to smell and taste sweeter. There are two methods of fermenting, stacking and kiln fermenting.”

James, I grew up in the middle of the tobacco culture and have never heard of this, learn something new everyday. Growing and processing tea leaves for drinking is like this.
In Ag shop in high school learned how to gas tobacco beds with formaldehyde and grow the seeds to sets. Actually worked one summer about at eight years old helping my friend turn the mule and cart at the end of the row. Later as a volunteer fireman saw many a bulk barn burn because a stick of tobacco would fall down on the kerosene burners. My Daddy spoke of staying up all night feeding the wood burning heaters with a pint of whiskey in the back pocket. It was all about the proper heating to cure the tobacco hanging in the barns.
Never primed because always worked in the country store my folks owned, sold the RCs and moon-pies that the growers bought for them (the primers and those hanging) for mid morning snack cause they started real early.
What a wonderful time in life, the smell of tobacco in the morning.

Glad you saw and mentioned the fermenting of tobacco, would have missed it. Went and ordered some heirloom tobacco seed from these guys:

What a barter product tobacco will make, had not even thought of it, and not to mention now at my age an after dinner smoke can’t possibly hurt too much. Now to find some zig-zag papers.

It means the end some firearm ownership.
But not until the gunfight and massive carnage
with American STASI id over. Then there are MILLIONS more.

A cash society is fairly new. A barter society is the norm.

It means the govt can confiscate your electron money for any reason, they have this ability now, just limited by how much of your money is in a bank or investment.

This means total control of your life. Think Nancy, Chucky, and Brandon deciding and controlling your every move.

Not now, never. Better be buying ammo. Cashless leads to violence.

But this throws article 1 of the Constitution right into the states’ laps, if they choose to. States are allowed to accept payments of debts in silver or gold. People are going to to vote with their feet. There will always be loopholes for this stuff in states where they feel up to giving the fed. govt the middle finger. Once again, cashless will never work.

To love, what’s not?

Here’s the best part. Once they do have it set up, what’s to keep them from going-

Whoops! Some bad actors have hacked the mainframe and all your moneys are gone.

We’ll get back to you soon, please shelter in place while we look into it.

I think the hacking side could be adequately defended against. But what about a few guys with backhoes taking out fiber bundle lines?

People only see the top layer of things. There is a massive structure of physical stuff that makes the internet go. Very difficult to bring it ALL down, of course, but very easy to cause painful and costly outages.

American Royalty will not be able to anonymously pay for drugs and prostitutes .
Taliban , Ukrainians and drug lords will not get pallets of cash.

No. Cash will not be eliminated.

No cash for drug cartels, blood money, whores , mentioned and no illicit drugs crossing borders. Border crossings resolved?
Acquire “legalized” cannabis by some other means than cash

What about the hookers and the meth-head pan handlers? What about the pawn shop launderers and the hit men? What about the tooth fairy kids’ pillows? What about all those those congressional bribes? How’s the Big Guy gonna get his 10%?

Not very American if you take all that away.

We had an millenial office manager that was very smart, but also very stupid.

We had this conversation on a walk one day and it was her opinion (shared by all her friends) that a digital currency would be just fine, “Just older people want cash, we hardly use cash anymore, it’s all debit cards.”

I replied that by saying you hardly use cash anymore, means you still use cash for some occasions. She said “Sure, but digital would just force us to use a card all the time, no big deal and it’s simpler.”

I stopped right there with the conversation, these kids are so brainwashed………

What’s the big deal?
Just move to the Left or the Wrong Coast where they let you walk in a store and walk out without paying for anything.
Although you may have to fit a certain profile to do it.
Just identifying as indigent may not be enough ……………..
