Look how they used the fear of corona virus to steal away our rights, and the sheep gladly went along with it. There are people who will never go out in public without thier face diaper because they still fear the “virus”

Fear only has power to cripple you if YOU allow it. Its an emotion, take control of it and turn it back onto those that would wield it for control… make them afraid…

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

I liked the post HSF. We raised 4 sons, and when little and afraid of things that go bump in the night or under the bed I would recite with them the Bible verse Psalm 34:4 – then they grew up and some went in the military and went to scary, fearful places and when they told me of their concerns – with that phone call of, “Mom I’m leaving.” That is what I sent with them and for me also….

Here is another good help in fighting the fear that would so easily like to overtake us during these dark days……

I am more afraid than my kids. They are killing me with their fearless ways.

Edit: But I am trying not to show it. Inside, I am usually proud of them.

Well, except when my husband takes them onto 300 feet cliffs; then I just get mad at HIM.

Let them inspire you.

Years ago I was working on the roof with an articulated lift platform. Our youngest son was maybe four at the time. He asked me if he could jump off of the roof onto the trampoline- he was very good at the trampoline even then, despite the fact that we never put a net around it. So we dragged the trampoline around back and I took him up and let him have a go at it. My wife was in one of the upstairs rooms when she saw him drop past the window. I won’t tell you about that conversation, but suffice to say I prevailed and our son took quite a few more jumps.

Was there risk involved? Sure, there is always risk involved in everything we do. You can choke to death on a bite of food, slip and fall and drown in your bathtub, die in an automobile accident every time you get behind the wheel.

That’s how life works. If you don’t know that, then you missed an important lesson growing up.

Some of my fondest memories of my own childhood were of how my parents reacted when I came in the house with an arm dangling askew, or bleeding profusely from the scalp, or with a stick protruding from my leg. They calmly picked me up and took me to the doctor to stitch me up or set the bone and cast it and then went back to whatever they were doing as if it were nothing more than dropping a dish on the kitchen floor. That kind of experience gave me the ability and the confidence to face everything in life without fear. Caution, sure, and in good measure due to those outcomes. I made plenty of mistakes in my life, but rarely twice.

Fear is a sickness and we’ve all seen what it can do to people who would otherwise be considered rational and reasonable over the past few years. Don’t be one of them.

Is there risk? Sure is. My neighbors son fell off of an 8 foot ladder. He’s now crippled for life at the age of 24.

Come on, don’t get it twisted. Safety first. You know how much thought goes into jumping and falling as a stunt man? Nope, let’s just drag it around back…forget the net. Who needs that shit anyway? Just jump pussy.

I thought it was Italian, meaning: behavior that is traditionally considered to be male.

You need a German knife, like the Wuesthoff one I have. Would have taken the whole thumb off. We don’t do half ass jobs.

Ouch. Hurts me just to think about it. Friend of ours did some home remodeling recently and cut lengthwise into the tip of the thumb from the top with a table saw about half way down, needing surgery and rendering the thumb a good bit shorter and the joint stiff, but at least he still has the thumb for opposition. Could have always been worse.

Nonsense, fear is not a sickness no matter how much you want it to be. Anyone who say’s they don’t have fear is either lying or lacks common sense, succumbing to fear is a whole different matter. I think your confusing phobias, anxieties or emotional disorders with fear.

Fear:
Fear is an intensely unpleasant emotion in response to perceiving or recognizing a danger or threat. Fear causes physiological changes that may produce behavioral reactions such as mounting an aggressive response or fleeing the threat. Fear in human beings may occur in response to a certain stimulus occurring in the present, or in anticipation or expectation of a future threat perceived as a risk to oneself.

Staying rational in the face of fear is a proper reaction and can save one’s life or even prevent physical harm.

Years ago I was going through a period of high anxiety. It was brutal. I prayed & prayed for God to take the anxiety way…and He did. (It’s how I know He is real…because of answered prayers, and a lot of other ways too).

Anyway, He did his job well because I feel so little fear these days. And it has proved very useful in the last couple of years. The biggest fear, I would say, is dying before I’m able to do what I was called to do.

My brain knows that, but my heart can’t help being motherly, even if that means being more fearful. Most likely, the dichotomy of the two is what children thrive on. Dad does the archery and tree climbing, I do the cuddling (boys) and the nail polish (girl), it’s all good.

We have seen an unrelenting campaign from TPTB to create fear, to create artificial pathos, to create hatred, and to create division. Their overwhelming agenda using all the power of modern communication and captured media has affected all of society, even (especially?) those who can’t or won’t recognize it for what it truly is.

Yet we are responsible for our own emotions. It is said that the market is driven by only two things: Fear and Greed.
TPTB leverages their Greed to install your Fear. Don’t ever let it happen. You are responsible for your own emotional and physical well-being.

Fear is indeed a disease. There is indeed venom in mania. Exhale the (real) contagion.

Bless this immunity.

I try to live this everyday.

My religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me. That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave…
