The REM song Man on the Moon, released in 1992, is a haunting melancholy tune, with Andy Kaufmann and his life and death as the focal point. For me, the lyrics always bring me back to the simpler time of my youth, when our antenna TV could get about eight channels, we had one rotary phone, one old used station wagon, lived in a row home, and a family of five could be raised on a truck driver’s income, with a stay-at-home mom.
It’s the references to the Game of Life, Risk, Monopoly, Twister, checkers, and chess, which invoke what we did for fun when we weren’t out riding bikes, playing stick-ball, roller hockey, or touch football in the streets. Were bad things going on in the world? Sure. The Vietnam War, Watergate, gasoline shortages and rationing, stagflation, and a myriad of other damaging challenges confronted the country, just as they always have throughout history.
One of the supposed historic moments in human history was the moon landing in July 1969, when I was six years old. I remember sitting on the floor in front of the TV and thinking how cool it was and how cool that I was allowed up at 11:00 pm to watch it. Another 600 million people were also watching. At the time, no one questioned what they were watching live on their TVs. It was the penultimate human achievement, with the goal set by JFK during Camelot before he was murdered by his own government, proving our technological superiority to the evil Soviets. To fail in this mission would have been too embarrassing to the leaders of our empire, only two decades into its infancy. I believed the official narrative up until a few years ago.
I don’t know whether Stanley Kubrick staged the moon landing on a movie set, or some other scenario, but my skepticism is based on something rather mundane. TV technology in 1969 was poor. Picture quality from stations a few miles across town were bad. The moon is 239,000 miles from earth. How could they have landed on the moon and broadcast live video that was as clear as if you were watching a TV show, when surveillance camera video in 2022, 53 years later can’t even reveal who placed those pipe bombs around Washington DC on January 5th, 2020.
The government, their media mouthpieces, and most certainly the plethora of alphabet agencies wielding the real power (CIA, FBI, DHS, etc.) in D.C. created the term “conspiracy theorists” as a way to cover up their diabolical Deep State plots to rule the world from behind the curtain. The CIA coined the term in the wake of the JFK assassination as a method to discredit critical thinking Americans who questioned the validity of the Warren Report and the government cover-up of JFK’s murder by rogue elements of the U.S. government.
This was not the beginning of manipulation of the public mind by men we have never heard of. As expounded by the master of propaganda, Edward Bernays, the manipulation was already taking place during the 1920s. With the advent of mass media technology, the ability of these malevolent Svengalis to sway the masses towards believing whatever narrative they spin has expanded exponentially.

Many of REM’s songs have a word salad feel to them, but bassist Mike Mills described how singer and lyricist Michael Stipe “came up this beautiful lyric that encompasses doubt, belief, transition, conspiracy and truth”. The title of the song and the lyric “if you believe” are ambiguous and can be interpreted by believers and non-believers. Those referred to as conspiracy theorists, the favorite term of the Deep State acolytes and their legacy media propaganda outlets, feel vindicated by the lyrics, while those who believe everything fed to them by their overlords believe the lyrics are making fun of conspiracy theorists.
I was twenty-nine years old in 1992, newly married, one year before the birth of our first child, working on getting my MBA at night, trying to move up the corporate ladder, and still ignorant of how the world was run by unseen men functioning as an invisible government.
I’ve always had a skeptical nature and knew in my teens that JFK was not killed by a lone gunman in the Book Depository building, but the hustle and bustle of life kept me from examining so called “conspiracy theories” on a deeper level. Through the 90s I was busy raising a family, working long hours, paying a mortgage, auto loans, tuition bills, and sports fees for my three boys. There was no time to breathe, let alone examine the truth behind how the world functioned.
9/11 changed all that. Something didn’t add up. Somehow the 341- page Patriot Act, creating a new agency and numerous new unlawful governmental powers, was supposedly written, and voted on within four weeks of 9/11. Only three Republicans voted against the bill – including Ron Paul, who I had never heard of at the time. The unwarranted invasion of Iraq in 2003 based on lies and propaganda, led by Cheney and Rumsfeld, was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
I began to read anti-establishment blogs and investigated the stories being peddled by the government, media, and Wall Street. I started reading articles and books by the likes of Ron Paul and other opponents of neocons, the Fed, the military industrial complex, the Wall Street cabal, propaganda spewing MSM, and the Deep State. I turned myself from a naïve member of the ignorant masses into an anti-government libertarian anarchist, who hasn’t believed a word uttered by any politician, MSM talking head, celebrity, or Wall Street beholden toady in the last sixteen years.
By early 2008 I was writing articles and sending Op-Eds to my local newspapers. During the summer of 2008 I was writing articles on Seeking Alpha and Financial Sense predicting a banking crisis, financial system meltdown and global recession. Shortly thereafter, Seeking Alpha and Financial Sense began censoring my articles and my “conspiracy theorist” credentials were minted.
I have believed less and less of what they have been selling as the years have progressed, opening my mind to the likelihood those who control the levers of society do not have my best interests at heart and are solely driven by a carnivorous desire for wealth, power, and control over the masses. I now approach life with an eyes wide open skepticism of everything and everyone. I’m not a pessimist, but a realist who only trusts data I can replicate, facts I can substantiate, and people who make cogent fact-based arguments without a bias influenced by money.
The world is a scary place and the men constituting the “invisible government”, pulling the strings, and using their limitless wealth to buy off politicians, the media, the entertainment industry, academia, the medical industry, and so called “experts”, are satanically driven by their seemingly insatiable thirst for ruling the world. They believe their ends always justify their means. These sociopathic bastards don’t care how many people they kill or how many lives they financially ruin in their relentless pursuit of mammon. They proclaim themselves to be gods, based on the power they can wield through their ill-gotten wealth. Their arrogance and hubris know no bounds.
We are currently living in an Age of Mass Deceit not seen before in human history. The advent of advanced technology and instant mass media messaging has provided these evil fiends with the means to spin their web of lies and essentially brain wash and /or terrify the ignorant masses into doing whatever they are told. The last few years have proven these psychological propaganda techniques, applied through the use of mass media, bought off politicians and “experts”, and a compliant sheep-like populace dumbed down by decades of government school indoctrination, has essentially destroyed western civilization, with the denouement of global war and depopulation of the planet still playing out.
As it turns out, “conspiracy theorists” like me and a slew of other critical thinking individuals, have turned out to be right on just about everything we have been saying for the last fourteen or so years. The Deep State acts as if disinformation, as defined by those engineering the false narratives, is a threat to the nation and has colluded with the MSM, Facebook, Twitter, and Google to suppress any alternative viewpoints, censor those who can disprove their narratives, and de-platform anyone who dares question their authority and approved storyline. DHS and the social media tyrants coordinated to throw a presidential election, which is a traitorous act and would be prosecuted in a law-abiding system.
During the Covid scamdemic, they achieved the goal set by CIA head William Casey in 1981. Everything the American public believed since March 2020 was false. Some people seem to be wakening from their mass psychosis formation stupor, but it may be too late. The damage is done, and the tens of millions of psychologically broken individuals are still malleable material for the Deep State.

All for a flu with a miniscule fatality rate for those under 85 years old and not morbidly obese. This was the biggest scam in human history, perpetrated by Gates, Fauci, Schwab and their willing co-conspirator minions in the media, medical industry, and government.
These “experts” seeking forgiveness because they were just caught up in the “hysteria” of the moment weren’t wrong. They were lying from the outset and need to pay dearly for their crimes against humanity. Nuremberg 2.0 is the only thing that will satisfy myself and all the other dissenters who risked their livelihoods by refusing to go along. We were scorned, ridiculed, ostracized, censored, fired, de-platformed, wished dead by the authoritarian minded sheep who demanded compliance, and treated like outcasts by family members who believed the narrative hook, line and sinker.

Writers and doctors silenced by social media platforms, like Glenn Greenwald, Alex Berenson, Robert Malone, and many others gravitated to the free speech forum of Substack where they are free to speak the truth and earn money through voluntary subscriptions. If Elon Musk follows through on his promises, Twitter will once again become a free speech forum rather than the social media censorship arm of the Democratic Party and the Deep State.
I am under no illusions that the Republicans regaining the House and Senate next week will change the direction of the country. It would just be a speed bump temporarily slowing down our descent into the abyss. The Uniparty in DC, where both sides agree 80% of the time on frivolous spending, never ending wars, debasement of our currency, and limiting the rights of citizens, will continue to be funded and controlled by Soros, Gates, and other shady billionaires operating in smoky rooms where your opinions are not sought. What specific proof are you looking for, aside from making a trip there yourself to prove it is possible?
It may be barely possible today (and in the future), but it certainly was not possible with what they had available in the 1960’s.
Today with a unified worldwide effort it might could be done, but it looks like political/economic conditions will handicap space exploration for some time yet.
The Space-X launches certainly look real to me, and the live video feeds they provide of on orbit separation and payload deployments also look pretty real. Doesn’t look to me like space exploration is being handicapped, but it does have to be properly funded to make things happen.
I should also add that I’ve been there in person and watched the Space-X boosters land back at Kennedy Space Center. Looks like they’ve got that technology pretty well dialed in too.

director Stanley Kubrick collaborated with the NASA in the making of the Apollo moon films while making his 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), on which he started working as early as 1964, just after finishing his antimilitary film Dr Strangelove. The rumor has it that Kubrick was then pressured into a Faustian pact in exchange for funding and other help. That Kubrick received support from NASA for 2001 is actually no secret: the scenario was co-written by Arthur C. Clark, an enthusiastic supporter of and contributor to NASA adventures, and several assistants for the film, such as Harry Lange and Frederick Ordway, had worked for NASA and aerospace contractors. Some therefore believe that 2001 was part of a NASA program both to fascinate the public with space travel and to test production techniques.
That hypothesis first arose when skeptics studying the Apollo photos and films became convinced that they had been made in movie studios using the technique called frontscreen projection, which had been perfected by Stanley Kubrick for his film 2001.
The theory had already been around for some time, when a French “mockumentary” called Dark Side of the Moon, by Franco-Israeli TV director William Karel, was aired on Arte channel in 2002, as an attempt to discredit the theory with the filmed confession of a fake Kubrick, and deceptive editing of interviews of Rumsfeld and Kissinger. The strategy is to pretend to support a conspiracy theory with some phony “proof” that is easily debunked, in order to fabricate a ready-made argument against the whole moon hoax theory. In my opinion, the very fact that an institutional media outlet finances and broadcasts such a program, and gets Rumsfeld and Kissinger’s permission to misuse their words in order to discredit the Kubrick thesis, is reason enough to take the thesis seriously.
The Kubrick theory gained new vigor when film director Jay Weidner, after documenting the frontscreen projection used in Apollo photos and films (here), added to it the hypothesis that Kubrick cryptically confessed his participation through his 1980 film The Shining. Weidner presents his arguments in his 2011 documentary film Kubrick’s Odyssey: Secrets Hidden in the Films of Stanley Kubrick. Part One: Kubrick and Apollo. He also gives a brief summary of his theory in the documentary film Room 237 (2012), available on Vimeo (Weidner’s contribution is between 00:44:25 and 00:51:55, and between 1:16:00 and 1:16:45).
When I first heard of that theory and watched Room 237 (I haven’t watched Kubrick’s Odyssey), I didn’t think much of it. But after watching anew The Shining with it in mind, studying Kubrick’s other films (especially his fatal Eyes Wide Shut, released on July 16th1999, the 30thanniversary of the launching of Apollo 11, as Kubrick had required by contract) and their layers of hidden meanings, and learning of his perfectionist obsession with every detail, I find the theory not only fascinating, but highly plausible.
Weidner’s starting point is the observation that, although the film The Shining is allegedly based on Stephen King’s novel of the same title, Kubrick ignored the scenario adapted by King himself, and changed so many things in the story that it can be said to be a totally different story—which made King quite resentful. Kubrick seems to have used King’s novel as a cover for a story of his own. What is therefore interesting is to focus exclusively on the elements of the film that depart from King’s novel, and on the details that seem to have no direct bearing on the main narrative. Weidner is not alone in taking this approach: many Kubrick admirers believe that the film has hidden meanings. Some argue, convincingly I believe, that it contains cryptic references to child abuse, also an underlying theme in Eyes Wide Shut. But Weidner reads into the film a subtext that amounts to an autobiographical confession of Kubrick’s role in faking the Apollo moon landings eleven years earlier.
According to that interpretation, Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) represents Kubrick himself, while the Overlook Hotel (built on Indian burial ground), represents America. The manager of the hotel, Stuart Ullman (Barry Nelson), made to look like JFK, represents the US government (as well as perhaps the JFK Space Center), while his assistant Bill Watson, who keeps observing Torrance without uttering a word, represents the Intelligence underworld.

Two scenes in particular give the keys to this cryptic narrative. The first one is when Danny (representing Kubrick’s child, that is, the Apollo films) rises up wearing an Apollo 11 sweater, on a rug with a design similar to the Launch Complex from which the Apollo rockets were launched. Soon after, Danny enters room n°237, which contains the secret of the hotel. The room number was 217 in King’s novel, but Kubrick changed it to 237 in reference to the distance of 237,000 miles that separates the earth from the moon (according to the common estimation at the time). The “room n°237” is in fact the “moon room”, because “room” looks similar to “moon” when read backward, and Kubrick has taught us to read words backward in the scene where the word “redrum” becomes “murder” in the mirror.
The second most important scene from the point of view of Kubrick’s cryptic subtext is when Wendy discovers that Jack, who is supposed to write a novel, has been typing one single sentence over and over again: “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” That sentence, which must have been chosen by Kubrick for a very specific purpose, takes a secondary meaning once you realize that All, in American typewriter script, is indistinguishable from A11, which can stand for Apollo 11.
When Jack then catches Wendy reading the pages, he tells her how deadly serious his contract is:
“Have you ever thought for a single solitary moment about my responsibilities to my employers? […] Does it matter to you at all that the owners have placed their complete confidence and trust in me, and that I have signed a letter of agreement, a contract, in which I have accepted that responsibility? […] Has it ever occurred to you what would happen to my future if I were to fail to live up to my responsibilities?”
Besides these two scenes, there are a number of other clues that support this subtextual reading. Why did Kubrick, for example, make the design of the Indian tapestry in the main lounge resemble rockets? Does Jack aiming at them with a ball represent Kubrick “shooting” the Apollo films?
Just after that shot, Wendy and Danny go into the hedge maze. Jack then looks over a model of the maze inside the lounge, which merges with the real maze in cross fading, suggesting that the maze is not real. This is also hinted by the aerial shot of the Overlook Hotel, which clearly shows that there is no maze next to it. Coming from Kubrick, this cannot be a continuity error.
Puzzling spatial impossibilities in the film have also been discovered by careful students of the film such as Rob Ager. They are not mistakes, for Kubrick gave himself a lot of trouble to produce them. Therefore, they must have a message to tell, possibly that what appears to be outdoors was in in fact filmed indoors .
There are also two brief allusions to television that fit with the alleged subtext: a sarcastic remark on the notion that what is seen on television is “OK” (watch the scene here), and a mysteriously wireless television (impossible in 1980) showing the film Summer of 42.

Another possible clue left by Kubrick to let us know that he intended The Shining to be read as cryptically autobiographical, is the documentary that he asked his daughter Vivian to shoot on the set of the film (now included as bonus in DVDs). It makes Kubrick appear as a mirror image of Jack Torrance. This has been detected even by critics with no interest in the Apollo theory, such as Rob Ager, who writes:
“Kubrick’s decision to allow a documentary film to be shot on the set of The Shining was an unprecedented departure from his usual ultra-secretive work policy. All of the behind the scenes footage was shot by his daughter Vivian. Without realizing it, many film critics and biographers have accidentally identified Kubrick’s motive for releasing this documentary. Time and time again they have described his edgy behind the scenes behavior as being comparable to the film’s main character Jack Torrance. One of the biographies I read […] even claimed that there were running jokes on set about the similarities in appearance and behavior between Jack Nicholson’s character and Stanley Kubrick. My theory is that Kubrick was deliberately creating these character parallels between himself and Jack, both in the documentary and among his crew in general. But the most prominent example of this parallel is Kubrick’s degrading treatment of the actress Shelley Duvall (Wendy) and the actor Scatman Crothers (Halloran), both of whose on screen characters are victims of Jack Torrance’s madness.”

The biggest thing they lost was knowledge and expertise. The same thing happened after Shuttle ended as happened at the end of Apollo. Congress, in their infinite wisdom, did not provide funding to retain those people with the knowledge, skills, and experience developed during those programs. So instead of them having a follow on program to go to, and mentoring those younger than them who came behind them, they retired or moved on to other things because of a lack of jobs. Lack of a funded long term plan/vision is the biggest reason for these stops and starts in the US space program.

Funny how the first stage Saturn V engines (the F1 engines) that had the largest CLAIMED specific impulse (figure of merit for rocket engines) never were made again (and the plans were “lost”). Presently, until demonstrated otherwise, the Russians and Chinese make the world’s most powerful rockets.
The space shuttle with auxiliary fuel in the cargo bay was more than capable enough of doing a trip to orbit the moon and return. Ever wonder if that was perhaps tried? Wonder what may have gone wrong? The spacecraft was capable of the trip, but was the crew?
I don’t think the American scientists achieved anything they really wanted with their “moon” missions. The first sample collections may have achieved something but we’ll have to wait for Russian and Chinese mining missions before anybody is going to say what it is.
They didn’t lose the plans and they have F1 engines still and could reverse engineer them if they wanted. The real reason for not building them was the ‘plans’ are rough plans. This was because the engineers of the day built everything from scratch often changing designs on the go without plans being updated. No cnc machines just lathes and skill.
The other reasons where that the engines are old and not great on efficiency so the thought of money being spent on modern and more efficient methods would be better pursued. This from a Phd that worked at the White Sands research facility that I used to converse with.
Your statement is largely true, although rather more documentation should have been preserved. Hell, NASA’s/AFOSR’s (not public) libraries have detailed plans of virtually every aeronautical/aerospace/rocket/projectile used throughout the world since WWI. Very little material on the F1 engines though.
They put on a great show, billowing plume, lots of noise, and all that, but they only had enough specific impulse for the rocket payload to achieve low earth orbit. The earlier Saturn 1B, which looked less impressive, actually had greater payload performance. It should be noted that the second and third stages of the Saturn V used the same engines as the Saturn 1B first and second stages.
The Saturn 1B was used in service through 1975 or so, far longer than the Saturn V.
Brian’s comments above are accurate. It’s no different than any other technology. At some point, it is really a waste of time and money to keep trying to improve an older technology based design when new technologies and materials offer more possibilities. Just look at what Relativity Space is doing for example, or Vaya Space.

Look at the fact that the original tapes of the landing have been lost, the original plans of the lunar lander have been lost, and listen to the current NASA experts talk about how the tech was lost, how we are still trying to get humans out of low earth orbit, and how we can’t get past the Van Allen belt. If any of the tapes or technical drawings were made available, there would be absolute proof that the moon landings were impossible.

Agreed. I knew some of the engineers who worked on the Grumman lunar landing module, and they all believed it landed and came back. One of my fraternity brothers was mission controller at cape Canaveral for several years and I know he would not participate in a fraud.
Our government is certainly guilty of many lies, misrepresentations and frauds, but the lunar landings were not among them.
As I recall, the NASA contract with Grumman for the “Lunar Landing Modules” was the staggering sum of around 12 million dollars. The US $ went alot further back then, but it didn’t go that far! Compare that to the cost of a single F15 fighter built by Grumman around the same time period.
Grumman was awarded the LM contract for $345 million in November 1962.

Back in the day, before sophisticated CGI, they had “mechanical effects”. For example at NASA Langley (in Hampton Virginia) in addition to having the then world’s largest computer (from Control Data Corporation, still used discrete transistors for the logic gates, “Emitter Coupled Logic” as I recall), they had a huge model of the Moon, painted so that photos would be indistinguishable from the real Moon. It was big as a house located inside a huge hangar. Then they built a track encircling the artificial Moon. A camera team would then sit on some wagons pulled by a small electric locomotive. Without agreeing or disagreeing with whether we went to the moon or not – an answer to your question could be (1) it’s expensive to do, (2) it’s dangerous and a failure would be and look very bad, (3) there is nothing there worth getting, (4) the practical limits on such a trip e.g. oxygen, need for protection, etc. makes its difficult to actually accomplish much of anything. There are 4 possible reasons why we don’t go back. I don’t think the fact that we didn’t go back proves anything one way or the other.
And I repeat, I don’t know if we got there or not and it makes little difference in my life. I know that governments lie and that is a valuable enough insight to have.
I appreciate all those points, my quest for an answer is not solely to prove disprove initial claims but rather I am genuinely curious. I missed the whole Moon landing shebang, too young, and have wondered my whole life why the national obsession, which I assume it was, absolutely deflated, while concurrently our Sifi zeitgeist absolutely exploded, Star Wars, Star Trek, ect.

Perhaps expensive was not the best possible explanation because, as you say, government seems to waste so much money. Maybe it was just not the easiest way for government to steal our money.
But there is something there worth getting, Helium3. Fuel for nuclear fusion reactors. Russia and China are working on a joint program for a moonbase to retrieve exactly that.

There was no way to even create the space suits. Due to the lack of atmosphere on the moon, the temperatures swing wildly from boiling (earth term) to below freezing depending upon whether the object is in sunlight or shade.
There is no HVAC tech that can handle those immediate temperature swings, and no flexible material that can handle those temperature extremes without failing.

I have thought before that theme parks make the perfect “fun camps”. They are typically enclosed with high fences, have an elaborate system of gates, entryways and exits that can easily be patrolled, have multiple food courts, kitchens and plenty of toilets. In the back stage area, guards can be changed and all sorts of nefarious things can be planned away from view of the inmates. They are also HUGE and could probably house tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of people, weather dependent. I am sure I am not the only person on the planet who has noticed that.

Several of my friends fathers worked on aspects of the Apollo program. They were well paid to keep their mouths shut and the fortunes of all our families increased. We all knew the “landings” were fake. Didn’t stop me from working for similar spooky agencies later, including NASA off and on. They did some good science (that you didn’t hear about) and alot of “fake news”. Now I work nearly full time on fake media content. It has progressed far. Tracked something going to the moon with radar. 1960’s radar.
They watched it all the way with telescopes. A lot of stupid around here. And they left lazer reflectors up there that are still in use today. And with a not very good telescope you can see the remnants. And, oh yeah, you can still see the footprints and tracks.
Lasers were bounced off the moon long before the Apollo missions. Any reflectors would not make a lick of difference given the spot size of the best laser beams over that distance. You can’t possibly see anything that small at that distance with a normal telescope. I suggest you learn some basic physics.
Earth mounted telescopes don’t work. Space ones do.
The lasers do work. The beam is like a mile wide when it hits the reflectors. The laser sends out squillions of photons, a few of which hit the reflectors. Very sensitive equipment pick up about 5 photons from the reflector. They can measure the distance to a millimeter.
The reflectivity of the moon is such that one gets a laser bounce without any so called “reflectors”. This was done in 1963-1964 and reported in National Geographic Magazine, long before any Apollo missions.
The reflectors tell them precisely where the bounce back comes from, so that the distance can be accurately measured. Otherwise, they don’t know where the bounce back came from, do they? That is rhetorical.
Yeah, it came from the moon’s surface averaged out over the laser beam footprint (spot size).
So how do they sort the reflector bounced back photons from surface ones?
And, were there not several reflectors? Again, how do they sort out which is the correct reflected photon?
There are no reflectors. They just get the average over the laser beam footprint or spot size at that time.
If there were reflectors they would have to be huge to have any measurable effect. So huge that they would be visible with a decent telescope.
Really, this stuff is just basic optics. Usually covered in University undergraduate Physics courses.

Trust is a very large part of our belief systems because almost no one has the access to real first hand experiential data, i.e. most people didn’t go to the Moon. That trust is based on past experience. I trust my father, for example because he has never given me any reason to distrust him, however NASA has repeatedly over the span of decades falsified images, destroyed historical and scientific data entrusted to them, offered fraudulent samples as the real thing, etc. It indicates a pattern of deceit that only a dimwit would dismiss.
I don’t believe the story because the purveyors are known liars who neither admit the falsehoods when discovered, show contrition for having deceived, nor attempted to seek redemption for the behavior in all the years since.

In the late 1960’s my mother worked as a bookkeeper for a company in Cranbury, NJ called Standard Packaging. They were very proud to have secured the contract to produce that shiny gold foil you see wrapped around the based of the Lunar Lander. The Christmas of 1969 was for me one of the most memorable of my life in that my mother wrapped all of the gifts in that gold mylar. It was impossible to rip, you had to undo the places where she taped the wrapping, but it was just mylar wrapping. That Christmas I got a bunch of Major Matt Mason toys, little astronaut figures with their lunar crawler, space station and alien friend Calisto. Like Tang, it was part of their psychological program to indoctrinate kids into believing the story and you can see the remnant of that belief in the responses on this thread (my Uncle Billy worked on the wiring for the LEM). All the little points of contact we have had during our lives that help to convince us that something we cannot possibly know, is in fact a reality. Looking back now, as an adult with a rational mind, it is clear that so many parts of this story are hogwash, like gold colored mylar wrapping paper was used to deflect the heat of the Sun from the components of the Lunar Lander, that I am no longer able to believe in such an audacious lie absent real proof. And everywhere you look for that proof you are faced with an explanation as ridiculous as the my dog ate my homework style fibs we are presented with, i.e. we lost the tapes, the fake rock was a joke, we no longer have the data, etc.
If the Moon landing had actually occured there would have been no end to it. It would represent the single greatest acheivement in human history and to this day it is barely spoken of except in passing. There would have been commercial exploitation of the Moon and the travel back and forth and there’d be permanent research facilities up there like the ones in Antarctica, if not hotels and McDonalds. Man’s nature is not to do something and then pack up the tent and say, well that’s good enough. Once the first guy got to the top of Everest it has been a non-stop tourist destination with more human crap piled up on that peak than you’ll find in a NJ rest area. It’s how we roll.
There comes a time in every great cultural collapse when all the lies are revealed under the enormous weight of corruption, degredation, and calumny that propped it up in its final stages. That’s what we’re seeing now and it is a bitter pill to swallow for most. Don’t be pissed off at the people calling these things into question, be outraged that we have been forced to.

I can relate to this this article. I too grew up in the same era as Admin. Admin tells my story almost to a tee. After 911 I really had an awakening, I realized that thing’s I took to be settled truths, were almost all lies. I became the eternal skeptic, anti government, conspiracy truther. I started off listening to Alex Jones radio show and progressed to dig deeper into the lies being foisted on the American people. My “AHA!” moment was in the mid-1980s when I finally realized that the only man I ever called ‘my President’ was gunned down in Dallas in a coup d’etat. In 1988 old man Bush was running against Michael Dukakis, two stiffs as far as I was concerned so I refused to vote. I have yet to cast another national ballot and am prepared to go to my grave thus. In my mind’s eye, I was in a stadium up at the very last row where I could see the entire field of play. Below there were the screaming fools rooting for team red or team blue. I couldn’t care less about that but like to analyze the play on the field. Which team had the better offense? Defense? Fewer turnovers? It gave me insights you can’t get if you have skin in the game. I was bitter about it until George Carlin straightened me out. He had resigned from ‘We the people’ as well only he actually liked the perception. He found it liberating. It was another “AHA!” moment for me. I stopped giving a shit and started enjoying those things I could make sense of and relate to.
The funny thing is that I felt alone up in the last row of the stadium. Until I started reading and living The Burning Platform. It turns out there were some of the coolest people imaginable around me I just had yet to meet. Another great article, Admin.

I’m really struggling with that issue. I haven’t voted since Reagan. I voted for Ron Paul (naturally) in the state primaries when he ran. I voted for a state initiative to eliminate real estate taxes for those of us over 70 when we lived in GA. The state I live in now is filled with Bolsheviks so no way of winning any election. But I will vote for a Libertarian candidate and against an abortion bill that will allow ‘mothers’ to kill their babies until they’re eligible for Little League. But if you live in a swing state you might want to vote. The democratic party has become an insane asylum. It’s an individual’s choice.
I just feel like the Republicans, even at the state level are mostly worthless. The Missouri legislature has the same problems as the Federal legislature. RINOs everywhere. You almost can’t get elected to state office if you don’t play the game. There is a small contingency of real conservatives and they are constantly fighting an uphill battle because good bills fail to make it to the floor for a vote, held up by a RINO who controls what gets voted on. A few make it now and then. One step forward and two back.
We can see how the criminal system works with this adsurd spending in Ukraine. TPTB know it will mean the Dummos will get crushed in the coming election. It doesn’t concern them a bit. They know whatever Repo stooges get elected the status quo will be held.

Assuming it is not a Photoshop job, there are several other things it could be too. Lots of other things were (allegedly/possibly/claimed) sent to the moon too. Some of the Russian rovers were quite large.
But yeah, that looks kind of tall to be the descent stage. Tough to tell with shadows and no angle of inclination of the light to calculate by.
One thing that can be checked it the topography of the area against the photos claimed to be taken around the Eagle. I don’t recall seeing those large craters so close in the photos, but that is just from memory.

William Harvey Dana was a test pilot and aerospace engineer that worked for NASA for nearly 4 decades. He was hired on the day the Agency was officially formed and was thus jokingly called “NASA’s first employee.”
He was one of 12 men to fly the X-15, which is where he began a lifelong friendship with Neil Armstrong. Here is a picture from 2004, when the 4 surviving X-15 pilots were together for one last time:

Here is Dana’s memorial page from the NASA website. Humble indeed, but certainly no dullard. He graduated from West Point in 1952. Served for 4 years then got his master’s degree in Aeronautical engineering from USC. His research into lifting bodies greatly influenced the design of the Space Shuttle.
On July 18, 1969 he wrote a letter to his kid sister talking about how he had been to Cape Kennedy to “see Neil and Mike leave for the moon.”

On Saturdays I was always at work along with two or three of ‘my guys’ with plans to work until noon or so. I would set the ‘puter to start D/L FNH to save the .mp3 file. If the dial-up glitched even a tiny bit, the D/L was not restartable and the file was corrupted and I had to start the file D/L over. In listening time, I think it was about three hours in length. So, with tremidation I would glance to see if the progress was coming along, fearful that if I looked at it directly, it would glitch out of spite.
I looked forward to saving some simple hand work to be done by myself after the guys had finished their Saturday at work. I relished Saturday afternoons to review the week’s past business events, the changes that needed to be made, to recast some series of accomplishments, etc., while I worked on the hand-finishing.
Then the great moment: Put the D/L file on my tiny,hard to use, almost no screen, always needs new batteries, with its flimsy headphones with ear muff-like foam covers that were always subject to excessive deterioration, mp3 player. The audio quality lacked a performance quality as well, but that’s what I had and I was not going to upgrade them until I had to.
I listened as the intro music started…and a disembodied voice (I believe it was John Loeffler’s) “This is the Financial News Hour” , and he introduces Mr Puplava.
Pure truth, so I thought. Finally, an honest assesment of the world of finance and money. Back then Mr. Puplava confessed that he was an adherant of the “Fundamentals” camp. As time passed the claim was that ” gold/silver were going to go to the moon!”, yeah, well, not so much. But, I sure wasn’t going to watch Cramer.
I met Mr. Puplava once. Yup, this old machinist redneck made an appointment to meet. I was graciously granted such an audience. So, arrangements were made for a trip to “the golden state”.
nota bene: My language can and occasionally does become ‘salty’. I try to hold the horses back and am successful much of the time, however… well you know. But I will try to be a good boy.
I got a plane ticket and booked a hotel for a one night stand, er stay,in San Diego. A rental car gave me a little freedom and gave me an easier way to get from KSAN to the hotel (lol, Hotel Calif. I had never thought about it like that). I was asounded that the ‘hotel’ wanted to know if I needed parking. I told them no, that I could park it myself, I just wanted to check-in.
Then it dawns on my bean… they means money, son, these sumsabitchs wants to charge me fer parkin’ a damn car. So, yes, I told them that I needed to know when and where to park in my paid-for space. Nice place, looked real purty outside, all them little palm trees and everthang jus’ real nice an’ clean. Puttin’ on the dog, we call it.
Next morning I make my way to the appointment. E-Z, because everywhere I need to go is N. or S. and that means I-5 or 805. So, I have time to cool my heels after I informed the secretary of my arrival. I had arrived 15 minutes early. When Mr.Puplava appears to receive me, he and his assistant, I noticed, the up ‘n down assessment. Gee, I guess I forgot to wear my Brooks Bros. suit.
The conversation was nice enough I suppose, I was more interested in his thoughts of future eventualities and the duration of what ‘we’ all considered an imminate crisis. He regaled me with stories of his Father and of his family’s plight and subsequent immigration to the United States. Alright. I had some investments with his company. I had other investments that I did not discuss. Time to go home. I drove north as I had time to kill before I needed to be back at the terminal. I got close to LA, could smell it. Looked awful nasty and too damned many people. That was close enough so I turned back south. La Jolla was nice, kinda, still too many people. I had lunch there, my request for the mahi-mahi sandwich and water seemed to weird them out, dunno why, don’t care. Turned in the car at the airport, found my gate and never looked back. I guess I was one of the few who successfully left (“You can check out any time you like, But you can never leave”).
Soon after, I noticed that Puplava & sons became more and more facinated with ‘Technicals” (Technnical Analysis) and the Nasdaq potentials. That let me out. By nature, I was/am not a day-trader.
I suppose there is no short-cut to understanding the world we live in. There are more than a few hard and fast rules I live by and I try to refine and hone those directives most every day. To be honest, these rules (principles, I call them), were hard won with experiences that in too many cases, ended up with a scorched ass or a bloody mouth.
Here are a few for your consideration:
Ain’t nobody got a chrystal ball, and if they claim they do, theys a liar.
Most people can’t tell a lie from the truth, because they can no longer think, if they ever could.
Many people will rob you blind and walk away with no idea of shame or remorse.
Some people will beg or sit on their ass and die before they ever turn their hand to make an honest living.
If you are responsible for yourself, and you are, then why do you think somebody else will do a better job?
If you believe that in general, people are good, you’re a fekin eejit.

Lots of amateur radio operators captured the communications – but only moon to earth (as would be expected). Several countries not affiliated with the USA or NASA were able to track the missions with both radar and radio . There were hundreds of amateur astronomers around the globe that independently saw and/or photographed the Apollo crafts in orbit at the time/locations that NASA freely published in advance.
In other words, there was so much independent corroboration, that there was simply nothing to refute.

That does not prove a moon landing or a manned mission. Plenty of stuff has (allegedly) been sent to orbit other bodies. The Russians (allegedly) had a moon rover there and operating during Apollo.
