The United States Has Been Overthrown

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

The United States has undergone a coup. Having observed no martial conflict, you might think that I have gone off my rocker. But not all coups are physically violent. They can occur because poisonous ideas take hold and subvert the society. The United States is defined by the Constitution, and when the Constitution is eroded away, so is the United States.

The Constitution has been eroding away for a long time. The liberals said the Constitution had to be a living document, which means that it is forever changing, which means redefined, which means eroded.

The Tenth Amendment was lost to Abraham Lincoln. George W. Bush got rid of habeas corpus in the name of national security when he declared that the “terrorist threat” gave him the power to hold American citizens indefinitely without presentation of evidence to a court, without trial and conviction. And he did. Obama one-upped Bush. He said he could execute American citizens on suspicion alone without due process of law. And he did. Bush and Obama were not held accountable for their violation of the US Constitution.

Today free speech and association are dead letter rights. Everyone can now censor our free speech–employers, school boards, people claiming they are “offended,” social media, print and TV media. People who say something “offensive” can be erased and never heard from again. What this means is that whoever controls the right to be “offended” can cancel the free speech of those who cannot claim to be “offended.” Without free speech, there is no debate, just the imposition of approved views.

In Woke America, this is the situation today.

You can also tell a coup has occurred when traditional patriots like Make America Great Again Trump supporters and Oath Keepers are demonized by media and government officials as “domestic extremists,” persecuted, and imprisoned on false charges, such as the Americans who attended a rally in support of Trump and were turned, with Republican complicity, into “insurrectionists” who tried to seize control of the government by taking selfies of themselves sitting in Nancy Pelosi’s chair.

When something so juvenile can be designated an insurrection, you know a coup has occurred. The message is clear. Those supporting the established order against the coup that is being imposed are enemies of the people.

You can also tell a coup has occurred when perversity of all kinds, particularly sexual, is celebrated and normality is derided as “fascism” or some form of phobia or other word of abuse. When the moral high ground is held by LGBT– people who cannot reproduce–and nature’s norm of heterosexual is regarded. as an unjustified definition of normality, the natural order has been overthrown.

That’s where we are today. Soon pedophilia will be declared normal, and there will be brothels where formerly depraved people, now normalized, can have sex with children.

Impossible, you say, but not, for once one perversity is legitimized, all others follow, as we have experienced. It is just a matter of time. Once the rot starts, it doesn’t stop until the job is finished. We already have one foot in Sodom and Gomorrah, and the other foot is drawing nearer.

We are in what Christians call a Romans 1 moment in time. We forget God and in turn God takes his hands off our society and lets fallen human nature take its course. It happens to every advanced society and empire. Mankind becomes fat and happy and believes all this was his own doing.

As a result he forgets the Creator. Morality is soon compromised or forgotten altogether. Soon he pursues a life of leisure and hedonism. All sorts of perversions follow. (ie LGBT degeneracy). Greed is rampant. People stop having children because they’re a drain a resources. Soon after wars for resources and power are started abroad and the currency is debased beyond recognition.

I came to the conclusion, about eight years ago, that no politician or party can correct the direction of the country. The politicians are corrupt because the people are lazy, uninformed, immoral, and corrupt themselves. Only revival, massive repentance in sackcloth and ashes by millions of people, will change the direction of the nation. Knowing God through Christ is the only way.

Although I’m an atheist, I upvoted you for the general tone and especially your admission that the state, comprised of mere humans, and usually particularly bad ones, cannot be the answer. A hundred morons do not add up to a genius.

If a religion aids people in acting more thoughtfully and being less decadent, I’m for it. Too many churches went along with the plandemic and have supported every military action ever, so maybe a reform church or spiritual revival is needed.

There’s no way Jesus meant to blindly follow Caesar:

The Reluctant Anarchist by Joe Sobran

My arrival (very recently) at philosophical anarchism has disturbed some of my conservative and Christian friends. In fact, it surprises me, going as it does against my own inclinations.

As a child I acquired a deep respect for authority and a horror of chaos. In my case the two things were blended by the uncertainty of my existence after my parents divorced and I bounced from one home to another for several years, often living with strangers. A stable authority was something I yearned for.

Meanwhile, my public-school education imbued me with the sort of patriotism encouraged in all children in those days. I grew up feeling that if there was one thing I could trust and rely on, it was my government. I knew it was strong and benign, even if I didn’t know much else about it. The idea that some people — Communists, for example — might want to overthrow the government filled me with horror.

G.K. Chesterton, with his usual gentle audacity, once criticized Rudyard Kipling for his “lack of patriotism.” Since Kipling was renowned for glorifying the British Empire, this might have seemed one of Chesterton’s “paradoxes”; but it was no such thing, except in the sense that it denied what most readers thought was obvious and incontrovertible.

Chesterton, himself a “Little Englander” and opponent of empire, explained what was wrong with Kipling’s view: “He admires England, but he does not love her; for we admire things with reasons, but love them without reason. He admires England because she is strong, not because she is English.” Which implies there would be nothing to love her for if she were weak.

Of course Chesterton was right. You love your country as you love your mother — simply because it is yours, not because of its superiority to others, particularly superiority of power.

This seems axiomatic to me now, but it startled me when I first read it. After all, I was an American, and American patriotism typically expresses itself in superlatives. America is the freest, the mightiest, the richest, in short the greatest country in the world, with the greatest form of government — the most democratic. Maybe the poor Finns or Peruvians love their countries too, but heaven knows why — they have so little to be proud of, so few “reasons.” America is also the most envied country in the world. Don’t all people secretly wish they were Americans?

Well, Mr. Chud, you’ve certainly laid out a good line of BS there. Believe me your gods are not going to come down and save Humanity from their natures. Humans are herd animals and like lemmings will follow each other off the cliff to their own demise. Even if it means taking a killer fake vaccine. Why hasn’t your god stopped this, or saved us from ourselves? BECAUSE IT CAN’T, NOR WILL IT !!!

First off you have to understand just who and what your Gods are, and yes that was meant to be pluralized, because who you believe to be, “A God” is actually many as made apparent in Genesis. Do you know what the word, “US” means? It means many, so your God is many and they are not gods at all but an alien species who genetically engineered us into Homosapien Sapiens.

The only thing that will save us is for humanity to wake up and understand why we have morals and ethics, BECAUSE IT IS IN OUR TRIBE’S BEST INTEREST TO FOLLOW THEM, NOT BECAUSE A GOD DEMANDS IT OF US. ARE YOU A SLAVE? THEN STOP ACTING LIKE ONE !!!

“Why hasn’t your god stopped this, or saved us from ourselves? BECAUSE IT CAN’T, NOR WILL IT !!!”

If you follow the book of Romans you would learn the answer to your question.

CB is quite right; God gave us up, gave us over to follow ourselves and our own sinful passions rather than to follow Him as Romans one describes. He is a gentleman in that regard; He’s not forcing anyone to do anything. He is affording mankind the opportunity to repent (change his mind) about his situation and return to godly life by trusting in the death, burial and resurrection of His Son as payment for sin debt, which is death. He took your place on that cross where you belong and died the death you deserve to die. What He wants is recognition for offering you that most generous gift.

Make no mistake; He will eventually put a stop to this mess. You want to be on His good side when He does.

Nineveh comes to mind… never so far gone that a rescue can’t be done… to say otherwise would be to put limits on what God can and cannot do… There are but two conditions to the rescue… seek and turn…

But… while a rescue is not outside the realm of Gods abilities I would say that we are rushing headlong into the final stretch before God calls the game…

Once the rot starts, it doesn’t stop until the job is finished.

Only if a radical intervention isn’t staged, such as surgery to cut out and neutralize the rot and antibiotics to kill any lingering infection from spreading.

Blindness to the fact that there’s something big and wrong about the compulsion to robotically dogma blather and is programming is the hardest red pill to swallow and a greater cognitive dissonance than libtardianism. Dogma babblers are totally in denial of the righteous arrogance of their babbling and how much they would hate it if they had to constantly endure the other 1000’s of religions babbling in their faces.

That’s the cognitive dissonance hypocrisy that babblers refuse to acknowledge. Why don’t I get to express any opinion TOO and you ignore it if YOU don’t like it? Bible babblers think they have the right to make their righteous babbling some sacred ‘exempt’ subject from free speech!

The rancid acid that instantly forms in babblers guts when someone challenges their sacred security blanket and they feel the compulsion to attack someone elses right to speak is a huge indication of a very dark trap. Something is very wrong when you have to proselytize constantly with the arrogance of ‘I can tell you but don’t you dare tell me back’.

A tyranny that controls the entire system, yet people still just shrug their shoulders and think they can vote tyranny out. As if tyrants have ever in the history of the world listened to the people they hate and given up power. It’s the equivalent of the left saying real communism hasn’t been tried before.

Every time it got worse I wondered if this was going to be the moment people organized, but not even normalizing grooming/having sex with our kids or the government backing a shot that for all purposes kills you has gotten people to care enough.

Interesting that Retired General Don Bolduc, candidate for US Senate in New Hampshire, put out a joint op ed with Tulsi Gabbard today on Fox (linked at Real Clear Politics) calling for ending funding to the US proxy war against Russia in the Ukraine and calling out Biden for committing US troops to fight for Taiwan (without a declaration of war by congress). Actually, somebody closed the window in 1971. Seems it was a hot stuffy day in August and the A/C was on, I suppose. De Gaulle calls and wanted an agreed upon payment. He was offered, you know, the kind of offer one cannot refuse, freshly printed paper. Now the races were on. The only problem is the this race is to the bottom.
It has been a long and torturous ride, but seems we’ll make it to the bottom. My guess is that Amerika will perhaps be first! USA number one! USA number one!

The gold standard only applied to foreign central banks and America didn’t have the gold.
That’s why de Gaulle was able to call America’s bluff. The gold theft had already occurred.

It wasn’t the event itself, but the admission of the event.

That, of course, led to the rushed creation of the so called petrodollar and made Saudi Arabia the tail that wags the American dog.

Brazil – Lessons and Observations

On Sunday night, the Brazilian run-off election got underway. Bolsonaro supporters were thrilled because Bolsonaro maintained a commanding lead all day. While it wasn’t a rout, he had it in the bag.

Something happened in those last few hours though. Lula made a surprising comeback in just one region. Although Bolsonaro won 6 of the 7 major regions, Lula’s lead in the single region was enough to push him over the top. Does this sound familiar? Oh, wait, this is from CNN, the “most trusted name in news”:

“According to the election authority’s final tally, Lula da Silva received the most votes in Brazilian history – more than 60 million votes“…

Immediately after the election, where Lula had campaigned on releasing people from prison and reducing criminal penalties, despite a crime wave of epic proportions, Lula supporters took to the streets to celebrate. This is where our first lesson comes into play. These Lula supporters rushed out and begin beating, and in several cases, killing outright, anyone wearing a Bolsonaro shirt. They called them “Bolsonaristas”, which sounds suspiciously like “Trumpers”…

The lesson is that this is where the rhetoric of “the other side is fascist” leads.
