Independent means Democrat. There are now 49 Republicans, 48 Democrats and 3 Independents. If all three caucus with the Dems and vote for” Scummier” for majority leader it is truly a meaningless gesture of BS.
According to the business channel, this is a tactic to stay on the ’24 ballot. She was getting primaried from the left. This way there will be 3 majors on the ballot, R, D, I, and she has a better chance to cobble a majority.
