On a visceral level, I’d prefer to see the Russian military “go all the way”, but that’s probably not happening. I suspect Odessa will be left in rump-Ukraine’s hands, as the price to obtain an internationally recognized peace settlement.

He said the Russians have massed close to 500,000 on the border and are waiting for the ground to freeze. He said that would happen by Christmas.
