Milgram was doing his most famous work (on obedience) in the sixties. He estimated 20% of the population were critical thinkers then. Given that our society seems to get stupider every year, I’d estimate it’s no more than 10% now.
I thought that 20% seemed kinda high. I know it is in my neck of the woods.
Pareto’s 80%/20% seems to appear everywhere.
Most of that 20% reside here in TBP Land. Sad that our country is to stupid to escape from a wet paper sack.
I have noticed that many times country people tend not to trust the narrative. Same folks don’t trust banks, but by damn they truly believe the orange man is the genuine article. Donnie is a hellava actor. It’s the 20% who question everything.

Humans have multiple adaptive strategies. Communitarian solidarity has been a very effective approach in a multitude of environments and conditions.. It doesn’t always work, but it does often enough to have become heritable. There is no question that it poses a threat to the individual, but it is also the soil from which singular geniuses arise; Mozart and Edison, Michaelanglo and Tesla.
This is a transitory phase in our existence, we just happened to catch this time and we have to find a way to make it through until the pendulum swings back this way…
Disengage, step away, learn how to let it go. The old world is in an irreversible decline and while it cannot recover, the old ways can still be passed on to renew the way ahead.
This is why so many of our elders, like my late father, were sacrificed for the CONVID gods: the less of us around to impart the old — and generational — knowledge, the easier to subjugate the youth.
We must protect the young at all costs. There is no future without them.
I was always told I was “smart”and didn’t believe it for years……then I met somebody that WAS!Genius level,seemed to always know where the LINE was,when to cross it,when not to……funny thing ,he was an EXTREME non-conformist!….in the Navy !
Then one day I decided to find out and got a technical education.Somehow the world made more sense on a physical level.but people did not!Seems the most “educated”aren’t really very SMART at all.
The most “educated”we’re pushing the COVID narrative HARD,and yet every aspect of it DEFIED common sense.TBP is definitely the place!
