I have tried more than once to transfer YouTube videos and photos and failed. My first computer was a little Mac in a box, circa 1970-something so I have no excuses. I really appreciate your encouragement and will try again.

Find the video You want. i can only speak for myself @ the neophyte level, but best results were actually obtained if i was actually “In” Youtube© to start.
For optimized ‘Best shot at success outta the gate’ results:
Hit Play. Pause it if ‘brief’ on the clock shown.
Two (2) finger click on the Trackpad if using a MacBook, think right click on a mouse, but i am not permitted in THAT room. Prolly multiple ways to bring up the onscreen menu that contains…
“Copy Video URL”, ONE Finger click that Option.
Come back “Here” (wherever, including Email, ‘TextEdit’, Etc.)
Click IN ‘Reply’ Field/Box to get Cursor/Insertion Point thingy to show.
Two (2) Finger click to show “Paste”, ONE Finger click that Option.
Please be aware that some vids are ‘Wonky’, but it will become easier with practice.

Thanks for your advice. I have had partial success transferring videos to myself, but the whole page is delivered, not the video. I’m too old for this crap and will try again later.

But as a brief aside, didn’t mean to appear cryptic. Can hardly understand what i wrote myself. Frequently. ALWAYS struggled with the difference twixt Irony/Coincidence, You bein’ a fellow denizen.
The neighbor thing? It was an amalgamation. (sounds much more suave and debonair than jumbled thoughts racing outta control in the vacuum of my head, don’t it?)
One part was conflating ‘What a wonderful World it would be’ from the song with one of the 10 commandments about loving one’s neighbor, my best guess.

1) ‘search’ for Something/Anything.2) Select ‘Videos’.
3) One finger click. It will pop up ready for you to hit the play arrow.
4) disregard all else i said for brevity/conciseness.
5) move cursor over the vid. Anywhere the cursor doesn’t ‘change’ to a (Pointing finger hand in my case).
💡Use the video my post.
Move cursor thingy to a point anywhere In the video box where it doesn’t ‘change’, like when ‘hovering’ over the ‘Play’ button. Caution: If You ‘hover’ over the “Don’t know much about History” tittle and 2 finger click, You will see “LINK” related options. NOT what You are after @ this juncture.
Same, Only Different.
Right below “Don’t know much…” is fine, as long as the cursor thingy doesn’t ‘change’.
NOW 2 finger click and You will see the correct “Copy Video URL”
ONE FINGER click to copy.
Go to Your ‘Reply’ window. (New One)
TWO FINGER click Will show (some color) ‘Field’ Insertion point and ‘Paste’ option simultaneously.
