The Ever Widening War

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

“Ukraine is already a de facto member of NATO.” — Oleksii Reznikov, Defense Minister of Ukraine

If reports are correct that modern Western weapon systems are slated to pour into Ukraine–the latest US and German tanks, Patriot missile systems, and other current weaponry–Minister Reznikov is correct.

These weapons imply that Ukraine has enough soldiers left to use them.  It will require months to prepare Ukraine for these weapons.  A logistical system is necessary for the delivery, maintenance, and protection of the weaponry from Russian air and missile attack.  This will require US/NATO personnel on the ground in Ukraine if the weapons are to be effectively used.

In other words, the “limited military operation” has widened into a war between the US/NATO/Ukraine and Russia.

Apparently, it is going to be a war without a NATO declaration of war.  The reason is that if all the weaponry promised is delivered, NATO and the US will be without fighting ability except in Ukraine where the weapons will be located.  Russia could, if she had the leadership, simply sweep through weapons-depleted Baltics and Finland around Germany into France and circle back to Serbia, leaving East and West Europe cut off and surrounded.  But this would make the war officially one with NATO, and the US would have to use its only means–nuclear weapons.

So it looks as if Russia will continue to pretend that there is only a limited military operation,  and US/NATO will continue to pretend that the weapons are just aid to Ukraine.

A Russian military operation that the Kremlin should have completed in a few days eight years ago has now, once belatedly begun, extended another year.  The consequence of the Kremlin’s unpreparedness and endless delay is a full-fledged involvement of US/NATO in the war with the aim of retaking Donbass and Crimea from Russia.  The increased Ukrainian firepower means far more Russian casualties, and Washington’s involvement has passed the threshold at which Washington can accept a Russian victory.

It short, the Kremlin has blown its opportunity, and we are headed toward Armageddon.

The only way to end the globalist shit show is to kill the $. Putin is killing the $ and when it dies, so does the entire economic system of the western world. Putin knows the $ is on life support now and time is on his side.

EXIT the $ ASAP. Your pension fund is only paid in $s so don’t rely on it to survive. The $ is likely to lose 20% more in terms of purchasing power this year so you will be getting a 20% cut in your income in addition to the 20% cut you have taken in the last year.

Putin didn’t do this, your leaders did it. Putin just refused to play the game with our fake money so the US started this war in an effort to isolate Russia and maintain the ability to continue our fake money scam that we rule the world with.

I believe our US $ money scam will be ending this year. Hyperinflation is in the cards.

Russia is quite aware of the situation, and has been from the beginning. So is China. You can bet your bottom dollar that both Russia and China are now on a wartime footing so far as their military industrial production is concerned. Both are no doubt producing hyper-sonic weapons 24-7 while US and NATO are still struggling with heat shield problems that have plagued their own designs and prevented production and deployment.
The US and NATO are not on a wartime footing. The small numbers of arms being currently sent from the west are inconsequential in the overall arms superiority of the Russians vs. Ukraine.
What the world expected to be a showcase for western super weapons, has become the artillery duel that Russia prepared for 75 years for.
While the US built hi tech expensive military hardware it ignored its blaring deficit in old school artillery, expecting advanced aircraft to be more than capable of taking out stationary ground targets. US artillery as a result is no match for Russian long range artillery, and radar triangulating systems. That is why Ukraine is losing so badly.
N Korea in the past few years has upgraded much of its artillery, leaving it with a huge surplus of older shells and rockets that were still compatible with the Russian artillery currently being used in Ukraine. Russia made a deal to purchase millions of these rockets and artillery shells.
Ukraine has burned though all of its initial supply of artillery shells and the US and Canada are only capable of building about 12000 a month, which is less than a weeks supply.
Short of NATO going to war in Ukraine, the battle is lost. Russia is not discounting that possibility, moving its nuclear capable 200mm mortars to the front.
If they are doing that, then they are also preparing for all out nuclear war. The only real question that remains unanswered is how far does the US and NATO intend to push this?
