Carbon Credits Are the Biggest Scam Since Indulgences—How You Can Avoid Being Fleeced

Guest Post by Nick Giambruno

Carbon Credits Are the Biggest Scam

In the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church convinced the commoners to buy indulgences to alleviate their sins. And they made a fortune in the process.

Similarly, today, our overlords—the mainstream media, central bankers, and their political allies—are working overtime to convince the commoners to pay for their alleged climate sins.

Enter carbon credits, government-issued permits that grant you the privilege to emit a certain amount of carbon dioxide.

Although advocates promote them as a way to “save the environment,” in reality, carbon credits are nothing more than a devious mechanism to tax, regulate, and control you.

It’s not a coincidence that the most philosophically and ethically bent people are promoting them.

For example, at a recent World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, participants revealed and touted an “individual carbon footprint tracker.” It will track where people travel, how they travel, what they eat, and what they consume.

Carbon accounting is already creeping into many places, like Google Flights.

A federal carbon tax is already a reality in Trudeau’s Canada, and it’s causing the price of food and other goods and services to soar. But Canadians haven’t seen anything yet—the federal carbon tax will triple by 2030.

In short, there’s a growing push to implement the carbon credit scam worldwide. And that’s not a coincidence.

Remember, central banks only exist to harvest wealth from the populace through inflation and redirect it to the politically connected, an insidious practice known as seigniorage.

Fiat currency is the usual mechanism central banks use to perpetuate this fraud. They get most people to run on a hamster wheel most of their lives chasing after confetti money they create with no effort.

However, there is a limit to this process.

For example, the governments in Venezuela and Zimbabwe have debased their currencies to such an extent that they are worthless. They have squeezed as much wealth out of their populations through seigniorage as possible.

Governments in the US, Canada, the EU, and others still benefit from seigniorage, but they sense they are not getting as much juice from the squeeze as they used to. Price increases are hitting multi-decade highs, and the US dollar, the euro, and other fiat currencies are quickly losing their luster.

In other words, central banks are debasing fiat currencies to the point where they can no longer extract as much seigniorage as they used to. That presents bankrupt Western governments with a big financial problem and is why they need to find a new way to harvest wealth from their citizens.

That’s where carbon credits come in. They’re the new mechanism of seigniorage designed to transfer wealth from you to the politically connected.

The idea is to get people to run on the hamster wheel chasing carbon credits, an artificial construct governments create with no effort.

Think of it like this…

Imagine if Tony Soprano forced everyone in his neighborhood to buy “breathing credits” from him, which grant you the privilege to breathe a certain amount of air. And that, naturally, it would cost Tony Soprano nothing to create as many of these “breathing credits” as he wanted. He could also hand them out to his friends and others who did favors for him, creating a corrupt patronage system.

This is basically what governments plan to do with carbon credits. Except they are also gaslighting you by telling you they are helping save the planet. Without that patina of propaganda—which the media, academia, and the rest of the establishment reinforce—there’s a good chance the people would revolt.

What To Do

The foundation is being laid to create a totalitarian system to track, control, and tax carbon—an element that touches every activity of human life.

Carbon credits are merely a way for governments, central bankers, and their allies to control the populace and secure continued seigniorage as the fiat currency system flounders.

It’s the biggest scam since the indulgences of the Middle Ages.

The good news is that there is still time to fight back. The bad news is that there isn’t much time.

The most effective thing the average person can do is to not store their life savings in fiat currencies and thus starve governments of seigniorage. That way, central bankers and their allies cannot use inflation to siphon off your monetary energy to fund the carbon credit system and other aspects of their nefarious agenda.

In other words, don’t put your life savings into something that someone else can create with little or no effort.

How do you go about doing that?

I just released an urgent report with three specific steps anyone can take today.

It’s the 2nd biggest scam ever created, right after the plandemic. It needs a catchy phrase. The Carbon Shamola is my pick.

It has been going on for nearly 50 years, so it might be #1. The scamdemic is barely 3 years old.

I prefer to create carbon by burning brush piles. With this latest ice storm, I am going to have a lot of carbon creation to do when it dries out.

The Catholic Church has always condemned the purchase of spiritual goods for money. Indulgences are a legitimate practice, and they in no way forgive sins or relieve one of the guilt of such sins. To my knowledge, even at the worst abuse of indulgences, there was never even a private understanding that money could buy forgiveness of sins. It is clear, though, that there are always both grifters and people who who delude themselves that there is an easy way out of their situation.

Protestants have a difficult time understanding indulgences because they neither believe nor understand the doctrine of purgatory.

When one sins, he commits an infinite offense against God, as well as (in general) a finite offense against his neighbor or himself. To be free of the guilt of the infinite offense against God, he must repent, amend his life, and accept Christ’s sacrifice for his sin. To be free of the finite guilt against his neighbor or himself, he must also make amends. If he does not make amends, then he cannot enter heaven (since nothing impure can) so he goes to purgatory to do penance and be cleansed of this TEMPORAL stain or to suffer the TEMPORAL punishment.

Purgatory has been described as a sort of waiting room for heaven, or a summer school for advancement to the next grade. The sinner was not wicked enough to merit damnation, but was not quite up to the holiness required of heaven. Another way of looking at it is that the sinner repented for his sins, but either could not make reparation to his victims or still had an attachment to his vice. Think of a guy who steals a radio from a car. He can repent, but he cannot find the owner to pay him back for the radio. Or think of an alcoholic. He can stop drinking, and throw out his booze, but for a very long while he may really desire alcohol, regret the he had to give it up, and dream about just having one more drink. This attachment must be dealt with before one enters heaven.

Indulgences come from Christ’s promise that His ministers have to power to Bind and Release, and that power exercised on earth is also accepted in heaven. This is from Mathew 18:18.

Penance, the most common way of both amending our life, and making amends to others, typically has three facets: Prayer, Fasting, and Alms-giving. Prayer brings you into a closer communion with God. Fasting helps you control your lower and carnal appetites by denying yourself some good, thus strengthening your willpower so that you may more easily resist temptations. Alms-giving is helping others by supporting them directly by your money, property, time, or any other way of giving to others.

But none of these can in any way obtain forgiveness of sins from God*. Any prelate selling, or putative catholic who thought he was purchasing, a get out of hell card is certainly roasting in a very dark place, unless he, himself repented and sought forgiveness. And, of those who did repent, it is quite possible they still dwell in purgatory, seeking to be cleansed and finally be deemed holy enough to enter into the presence of God.

Anyway, indulgences to promote the construction for a beautiful cathedral to glorify God is not a problem. One would not be “purchasing” the ability to sin without consequence. This has always been the clear teaching of the Church. That both clergy and lay people are poorly catechized does not change this. After all, the current pope, if charitably understood, is the most poorly catechized Catholic evident in the Church today.

(*Prayer, understood in its most basic form as just talking to God, cannot merit forgiveness. God sees into your heart, and if repentance is not there, He will not hear your prayer for forgiveness.)

(Also yes, carbon credits – indeed the whole idea that giving the gov’t money can help the environment, is unadulterated crap.)

Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ cannot possibly believe there is any other way to the Father. You believe or you don’t, all else would be considered fraud.

I recall John McCain’s support of carbon credits. And yes those that supported John had their heads up ass on this.

The way I understood it at the time was while doing regeneration of forests aka simply planting “forests” of pine seedlings I would be given , I suppose some kind of “carbon credit” so that Joe down the road could produce more carbon with his carbon producing endeavor. I never heard from anyone how many carbon credits I was awarded. Chalk it up to BS.

Methane has a greater greenhouse effect than CO2 (so they tell me). For a payment of only $999 per month, I promise not to fart – and you can fly to Costa Rica without suffering any guilt. If I can get 20-30 customers, I’ll be rolling in the dough.

Here’s a thought for the apocalypse…separate your life from your life savings. You weren’t born with a pile of cash and you won’t be leaving this Earth with one either. Like it or not, every day you spend on Earth is an indulgence from God to us.

What Man provides, Man can re-take.

What God gives, no Man may take.

If you’re going to seek a refuge, seek a proper One! The house built upon sand will fly away at the first opportunity.

Humans emit carbon every time they exhale so it’s literally a tax on breathing. You have to be taxed to be allowed to exist. What sick f*cks that came up with this plan.

That’s where the masks come in. They’re trying to work on a fitbit-type of mask that measures how much CO2 you’re emitting, and will sound an alarm to authorities if they exceeded their oxygen intake and carbon output.
The masks will be surgically implanted, too.

Except when your government charges a “carbon tax” on every damn thing you need to live. Makes indulgences look like minor fraud.
