Remember when the Left opposed war? That was also back in the days when the Left supported Free Speech and Choice (but only when it comes to abortion; otherwise, it’s not your body, apparently – and it is the government’s choice what you do with it).
Now we have the Egg On Chorus, led by the personally pusillanimous but rhetorically Napoleonic Lindsey Graham, a Republican, who urges that Russian President Vladimir Putin be indicted, tried and convicted for war crimes a la Nuremburg – the penalty for which is death – something that would never induce Putin to go for broke in Keeeeeeeeeeeev by sending missiles to DC.
“You label Putin’s Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism [and] you create international tribunals so we actually can try [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and his cronies in the international court like we did after World War II,” he declared the other day.
He also suggested that America send F-16 fighter jets to Keeeeeeeeeev – which, from the Russians’ point-of-view, would be regarded as exactly the same thing as it is from the U.S. point-of-view, when it is done by any other country egging on an enemy of this country and giving that country the means to attack this country.
But, never mind. Putin Bad! Zelensky good!
Some on the Republican side are appalled by this egging-on, especially by the likes of Lindsey Graham. But they are unfair to Graham. He is in fact the ideal Republican.
Keep in mind who essentially founded the Republican Party and was its first president. That would Abraham Lincoln. He loved war, especially when waged to put an end to “democracy.”
He waged it without mercy, against civilians explicitly, sending the mid-19th century equivalents of SS-Obergruppenfuhrers marching into the South to literally scorch the earth, so as to reach the recalcitrant Southerners all about “democracy.” The same kind of “democracy” that the same blue-suited Obergruppenfuhrers brought to the Indians of the American plains, after they were done with the South. The same “democracy” that Biden – and Graham – seek to further in eastern Europe.
In everywhere.
For there is nowhere on this Earth that is to be left free to decide its own course. The only course is that of modern American “democracy,” which is a philosophy both the Left and the Republican “right” agree upon. It is a philosophy that says Our Way is the only way and if you do not like it, tough. And if you resist, we will destroy you.
Even if it means destroying the world, for their world is one of unassailable power that, if lost, costs them everything. And that is why they are willing to make sure no cost is spared to preserve it – and that all of us pay it.
The take-home point here is that Republicans such as Lindsey Graham are not Republicans in Name Only (RINOs). They are the most authentic and faithful Republicans. The truest expositors of the philosophy imposed at bayonet-point upon the United States (North as well as South) that “democracy shall not perish from this Earth.”
And then everywhere else, from here to Keeeeeeeev and beyond.
Even if it is necessary to burn the Earth to a cinder toward that end.

I was in the car today and happened to hear Sean Hannity talking to Bill O’Reilly. What a couple of dolts. O’Reilly said Russia was losing 1,000 men a day and wouldn’t be able to keep fighting much longer. They were talking about all the equipment the Ukies are about to get from the europeons. You mean, like, the 14 tanks from the UK that recently got cut to THREE tanks? Or the M-1 Abrams tanks from the US that won’t be delivered for months because we have to strip off the super-top-secret-extra-fantastic armor that we don’t want those evil Russkies to get their claws on?
I knew people were propagandized and stupid as fuck, but I had no idea they were THAT ignorant and stupid.

I once upon a time listened to WBAP for several hours a day, now I don’t listen to that station at all.
As you know it was a country western station for a long time. Very popular station but I was more into rock , KXOL, KFJZ etc. (60’s) . I did tune in to WBAP when Rush was laying it on the line during Bill Clinton’s tenure doing a lot of driving in my job and getting all crazy republican then.
Unforgiven, the “911 Truther” trick Glenn and partner current Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick pulled on Debra Medina in the 2010 gubernatorial GOPher primaries. Rick Perry freaks be shitting their britches then with Debra’s building steam in that “race”. Had to do something or she may have made a difference in that contest.
Unforgiven, Sean Hannity’s excluding Ron Paul from GOPher “debate” in New Hampshire. Too bad the snowballs thrown at him did not contain rocks.
Oh yes, Debra Medina, she got my vote, how the times [don’t ever] change. Hannity’s head is full of rocks.
Funny I just happen to do the same. It’s not for long though and usually I cannot stand it but a few minutes. Every time for some reason I detect and then verify hypocrisies discussed. And a different talking head , Mark Levin, is complete rubbish.
How you managed to not drive into a bridge abutment at 80 mph with those two bloviating braggarts on the radio is beyond me.

I lived in SC for 16 years up until two years ago. Never voted for Lindsey until this last election, the alternative was far worse. I hate to say it, but ol’ Nancy Boy does not disappoint. He is McCain 2.0.

I went thru Northern Georgia a few years ago.
Just outside Cave Springs is the Georgia School for the Black Deaf. As we were passing thru, I told my wife to look at the campus closely.
