Stream of conscience channeling The Old Curmudgeon, who I always imagine looks like Clint Eastwood.  This was written sometime during ’21, and recently edited.

Sometimes I think about what we’ve lost, and it makes me wanna spit nails.  Some of you may still think there is freedom, but that is just an illusion.  Consider the fact that you literally cannot leave your country without someone’s permission.  In lockdown conditions, your zone of travel may even be reduced to your state or city.  You’ve heard about 15-minute cities — don’t need me to tell you.   Consider that they protect some weasel’s right to burn the flag, but take away your right to say what you want.  Think it’s not that bad yet?

Think again.  Canada, England, Australia… America you’re next.  Consider that the State, in its vast wisdom, makes it illegal to consume some natural herbs or plants as God made them.  Can’t even collect your own rain water.  FUBAR.  They demand you to wear personal protective gear, even if you are only risking yourself.  Helmets, masks, seatbelts.  They can steal funds right out of your account if you miss a tax payment, and they can take away land that you thought you owned.  They were inches away from forcing vaccines.

So the truth of it is, you can’t go where you want, or say what you want, or eat what you want, or wear what you want, or own what you want, or elect who you want, or even medicate how you want.  Not really.  Soon you won’t even be able to think what you want.  Am I wrong about that?  DARPA is already working on it.  They are already flirting with “pre-crime”, similar to Minority Report.  Developing brain scans that can literally read your thoughts.  The ‘brain domain’ is what they call it, and we are the target.  What do you think 6G will be for?  Get up to speed on their terminology.  Hell they already lock people up for having a “manifesto”, or a “weapons cache”, or forbidden digits.  Data, digital info — imaginary 1’s and 0’s, of all the ridiculous BS.

There was a time not long ago when CRIMES meant that someone had to be HURT OR AGGRIEVED.  Merely thinking about something, or even fantasizing about a crime, never constituted criminal activity.  We are right around the corner from the Thought Police, friends and neighbors, breaking down your door for something you haven’t done.  Re-educating you for the crime of wrong-think.  Will you be able to avoid the facial cams, the gait analyzers, the retina scans, and location trackers?  The drones buzzing around?  Shewt, son.  You could have some micro circuits in you RIGHT NOW and not even know it.

Takes another sip, and reflects.

I pity those who are still in denial of the Police State, but admire those of you who choose to stay and fight it.  See I reasoned out years ago that my only means of coexistence lay in 3rd world countries, where you could hopefully live well enough to have some comforts but without Big Gov lurking everywhere.  Hell, they can barely keep the electricity on where I live, too poor to do much of anything.  We got Starlink now, so knock-on-wood that it won’t end up being Skynet.  Lotta folks come out here to the far reaches and then quit after a coupla’ years, lacking the right amount of Grit, as my grandpop would say.  A man’s got to know his limitations.  It helps to marry a local, or have some kind of ancestry. Most of the expats my age are pathetic, useless complainers.  And boy, lemme tell ya… they lined right up for those shots.  They hid in their walled subdivisions, and are still wearing masks if you can believe it.  [Spits]

Listen up, son, they will be the first ones to starve when SHTF.  Yes sir, you need to get somewhere with some self-sufficiency and a close-knit clan; that is my manifesto.

If I were in your boots still in America, I would be in Appalachia.  Tennessee maybe, West Virginia.  Out west like Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota.  Maybe the far north – anywhere the Smart Phone Brigade fears to tread.  The best advantage right now is that you can still move between states, and can choose one with folks who think like you.  I used to say we had a few more years to figure this out, but take a look around.  The War Pigs are doin everything they can to light off WW3.  I hope I’m wrong, and God grants a reprieve for a time.  But is America worthy?  Watch the sky.  Learn to barter.  Dust off the Shortwave.  Know where you stand, and on Whom you can depend. There’s a hell of a storm turning this way.
