“This kind of collapse has never occurred in history”: Come see how Bud Light sales have plummeted beyond what anyone thought possible

Via Not the Bee

To those who said this boycott wouldn’t work: What say you now?

The latest numbers are in, and the folks over at Anheuser-Busch may wanna look away. According to Beer Business Daily, Bud Light’s off-premise sales volume — the amount of beer sold outside of restaurants and bars — was down 26.1% from a year earlier in the week ending in April 22.

That’s not just a drop in sales, that’s a split-down-the-middle-and-come-crashing-to-earth.

These figures include grocery stores, liquor stores, gas stations, and convenience stores — basically everywhere you might pick up a six-pack of Bud Light for the cookout or the big game.

Bud Light decided to back a dangerous, indefensible, destructive ideology. They did it by picking one of the most intolerable and unlikable practitioners of this awful stuff. It’s no great shock that people revolted against it.

Fortunately, it was enough people to send a message like this. As Beer Business Daily put it:

We’ve never seen such a dramatic shift in national share in such a short period of time.

Call me crazy, but I don’t think we’re done yet!

Bud light’s sin was not that they pissed off their customers.

No.

It was that they made their customers embarrassed to use their product.

They just haven’t tried hard enough. They need to follow up the Dylan Mulvaney ad with a Ru Paul blast. Make sure that the sheep understand that Bud Light is fully woke and demand the support of the sheep!!! ‘We’re woke! We care!’

How about a real woman, like trans-athlete swimmer Lia Thomas? Straight guys love sports! (sarc) Put him in that Bud bikini too, just for good measure! That should stop every straight guy in America from ever drinking Bud again!

Dunno if I read the joke here or somewhere else. Either way, worth repeating.

Guy from Germany drinks a lite beer at at a US bar to see what the hubbub is about. Not positively impressed, but buys another can at a quickie mart to take home. Sends the can of lite beer to a lab for analysis. Week later, gets a letter from the lab. The lab report says this: ” Your horse has diabetes.”

Only 26%? That’s lame. Especially because some of the boycotters probably protested by buying another Anheuser-Busch product.

People are sheep and lazy and creatures of habit. Remember the mentality that drinks Bud Lite, too. It’s characterless piss. They think it’s less caloric – which it is, unless you have nine to catch a buzz.

Beer is also fattening chemically. Calories are only part of diet. Biochemistry is, too. Beer is estrogenic, so it makes you fatter and squishier and less masculine.

But at least a quarter of its consumers have left – though for sociopolitical reasons, not medical ones. They’re not the cream. But it’s a start.

Molson-Coors – owners of C00rs/Miller Light – are just as woke as InBev.

They are all in on UN programs ESG/DEI.

They are just not stupid enough to include it in their marketing.

Woman I dated in the early 90s landed an MBA internship in the late 70s at a Danish spirits manufacturer (she spoke fluent French and pretty decent Danish). Her boss told her this joke:

“Why is American Beer like sex in a canoe?”

“Both are fu**ing close to water.”

They really screwed up. I was putting away dishes the other day and realized I have a Steelers draft beer glass with the Bud Light logo on it. I also have a Bud Light t-shirt from when I worked in a bar over a decade ago. It occurred to me how much Bud Light has been apart of the American culture. When I thought about it I realized I have so many memories involving that brand of beer. I’m probably not the only one. There’s no way I’ll ever drink it again.

On Sunday, conservative commentator Ryan Fournier shared a photo on Facebook showing that Costco had drastically slashed the price of their Bud Light 36-packs.

Normally priced at around $30, the cases of beer were going for the shockingly low price of $14.97.

Not even a a noticable pimple on the ass of InBev, the multinational corporation that owns Budweiser. Most people boycotting Bud have just switched to drinking another variety they also own.

Did a beer run this weekend. 5K and you get beer at the end (and a couple in the middle if spectators are sharing). Usually get Bud light offered, but this year it was Coors or Miller Lite. No Bud Light to been seen. Had to be a bit picky after the run to avoid the AB products, but plenty of choices made that much easier.

ap,
you are probably at least partially correct but i would also add that they know that the american consumer is so fickle, forgetful and flaky that if ab hunkers down 4 awhile that the market will come back to them —
as people have posted above, the real issue is whether or not people are boycotting all ab products —
are bud sales down?

Bud Lite has been permanently tainted, even if it was one cent a sixpack, no redblooded American male would be caught dead with one in their hand. Even a full on apology and firing of all concerned will not help at this point. Object lesson is now complete.

If 26.1% stopped drinking beer all together. That would send a message.

If instead of drinking 1 million people gathered in DC and chanted ENOUGH! (clap)(clap) ENOUGH! a thousand or so times…an even better message!

The B3RG* do not give a shit about the brand – it’s the LBGTHIV+ in-your-face-serf message that’s important.

Sacrificing sales of piss-water for the greater evil of destroying the American once-stalwart beer company is all that matters. Mockery and humiliation is the game.

Using cross-dressers (that’s factually all they really are) to sell this swill is nothing new. In fact, it was done way back in the 80’s:
