If you get a chance read H G Wells’ book ‘The Sleeper Awakes’ written in 1898. It predicts not only airplanes but also African shock troops. The free pdf below has a personal signature of the owner which is 1933 which thought might interest you since the reference of Nazi propaganda.

I would recommend getting a copy because this is a very hard book to read, as most HG Wells’ books are, to fully appreciate. It is pretty wild, and needs several re-readings. The guy was a genius.
