Last week’s revelation that Facebook took orders from the Biden Administration to censor even accurate information about Covid is the latest example of the US government’s disregard for our Constitution. Thanks to Rep. Jim Jordan, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, we now know the extent to which the Biden Administration went in its proxy war against the First Amendment.
Getting the information wasn’t easy. It was only after Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was threatened with being held in contempt of Congress that he relented and shared information with the Judiciary Committee about Biden Administration pressure to censor Americans on Facebook who disagreed with White House policy on Covid.
What we have discovered thus far is disgusting. For example, in April 2021, a Facebook employee sent a message to top executives in the company complaining that, “we are facing continued pressure from external stakeholders, including the [Biden] White House” to remove posts. In another example, senior executive Nick Clegg complained that Andy Slavitt, a Senior Advisor to President Biden, was “outraged…that [Facebook] did not remove” a particular post, according to Rep. Jordan’s report.
Rep. Jordan revealed that the “offending post” that the Biden Administration wanted removed was simply a joke making fun of possible vaccine injury down the road. The Biden Administration even wanted to “protect” us from jokes that it didn’t like.
The Administration did not stop at targeting what it called “misinformation.” As Constitutional Law Professor Jonathan Turley noted in a recent column, “the administration also demanded the removal of ‘malinformation’ that is ‘based on fact, but used out of context to mislead, harm, or manipulate.’” So the Biden Administration wanted to “cancel” even truthful information counter to its own preferred narrative.
This level of contempt for our Constitution is shocking. As Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. – who was himself censored at the behest of the Biden Administration – testified recently before Congress: “A government that can censor its critics has license for every atrocity. It is the beginning of totalitarianism.”
Who knows how many thousands of Facebook accounts were banned or restricted at the behest of the Biden White House. Early last year I received notice that my own Facebook Page was “restricted” for 90 days because I pointed out that the CEO of Pfizer once claimed that his Covid shot was “100 effective” but later changed his story. The post was completely accurate but still my page was targeted.
Although some are using this information for partisan gain against the Democrats in power, Americans should not delude themselves: left unchecked, there is little reason to believe a Republican Administration would show any more respect for the Constitution than the Biden Administration. Both parties have shown themselves to be selective in their pledged oath to uphold and defend the US Constitution.
It is just as unconstitutional – and thus illegal – for the US Government to violate the First Amendment by proxy – through so-called private companies – as if the government directly attacked our free speech. We must remember that the unprecedented US government censorship of Americans during Covid was just the test run. Be assured that when the next “crisis” comes – and it will – the authoritarians in charge will again ramp up the censorship machine unless we do something about it.

Am I to believe that there was no interaction between government and ANY social media in 2020?
I’m not on any social media, but Google and YouTube were censoring, banning and de- monetizing all over the place in 2020. How were google and YouTube making their determinations about what to censor? Do they have epidemiologists and virologists on staff?
Short version: the censorship began before Biden.
The censorship began before most of us were born. It has just become endemic and thus obvious. Man always wants to control what other men think and believe.
There have always been shitty people in government/corporate doing shitty things in a conspiratorial manner. They just never had the digital force multiplier that exists today.
People get it all wrong because we were never taught our history so we do not know who we really are.
We gave up being free and citizens of one of the “several States” to become Statutory Citizens of a fictional United States.
The “several States” gave up their Sovereignty as independent Countries with their own Constitutions and their own Laws to become vassal states of the fictional United States with the 17th Article.
There were no true Amendments after the 12th.
In the 17th Article, one important word was left out.
That word was “several”
The Government could then redefine the word “State”

Name one dictator in a Constitutional Republic like the old Soviet Union, current Russia, North Korea, or Iran that has ever had any regard for their very own Constitution? Disregard the Constitution, it’s what dictator do!
Russia and Iran are democracies. At least as much as we are.

Now do you believe they are a Democracy also? You can call yourself whatever you wis,. but a Democracy has free and fair elections, and none of those countries have that, so they are not democracies no matter what they call themself, because they are dictatorships. The USA will fall into that category if the Democrats cheat again in 2024, which I think will happen. We are well on our way to becoming a dictatorship banana republic. But the Democrats will still declare they are all about democracy and that we are a democracy. Just another lie.

My solution to the awful product that is Facefook?
I don’t use Facefook.
A better solution might be to regulate them as public utilities. Same goes for banks.
An even better solution might be to recognize that the problems are all being caused by an identifiable group of a specific ethnic makeup, and either put them all in camps or deport them all to Madagascar.
Well bless your heart to conclude more government regulation/oversight is the better solution to not using a product you never needed.
Regulating a corporation no one has to do business with is a definitive step towards regulating who is allowed to do business.
If you let them build another goal post, you’ll just end up chasing it all over tarnation.

What I meant was, if the story motivates a person to say “they should regulate that”
it means the Problem-Reaction-Solution formula is working.
An example of how they reverse engineer nutters:
The state passes a law banning trans storybook hour.
Next, the supreme overturns it, now it is legally enshrined as a right.

Problem? How to legalise perversion.
Hold trans storybook hours in public “free speech” places.
Reaction? People revolt and pass local laws/ordinances banning such.
Solution? Supreme court overturns lower laws, enshrining trans storybook hours as a child’s right.
It’s kinda how they did gay marriage.
