Well I’m happy to report that this summers’ family reunion went off with the usual hitches.
Things were pretty calm until Uncle Bitsy, who’d had several medical procedure this past year, began to tell his tale at the dinner table. Without provocation whatsoever, he told us of all the tubes going in and out of him, where the tubes were located and what was flowing through the tubes. About 30 minutes into his saga, Bitsys’ son-in-law, Charlie, couldn’t take it any more and lunged at Bitsy with a steak knife. All hell broke loose with mama in the background yelling, “I told you not to let Bitsy eat with utensils!”.
Fortunately for Bitsy Great-grandma Betina, 97, was able to wrestle the knife away from Bitsy. Unfortunately for Bitsy GGM Betina lunged at Bitsy with the steak knife. And, fortunately for Bitsy again, Betina suffered a stroke and fell unconcious face-down into Aunt Maddies’ lime jello salad that she brings every year and everybody pretends to like. Hats off to GGM Betina for saving us from having to pretend to like Maddies’ jello salad because this year we didn’t have to pretend to eat it. It wasn’t the worst reunion we’ve ever had but I’d put it in the top 3 or 4.
Next year everyone will be checked at the door for weapons before entering the reunion. Those without weapons will have one issued to them.
So, like, did anything exciting happen?

In memory of LTC David Newman, who died alone in a VA hospital while his son was waiting out in the parking lot.
Brother died alone in the hospital from a stroke while they enforced a NO Visitors policy. Don’t even try to imagine my rage.
….Dad “died” in a vet “care” home. Not mobile, bed laden, near deaf, barely moving, they said he “wasn’t eating”, I pushed my way in and turned out he wasn’t eating cause they were not feeding him. They walked by his room and from the hall asked if he wanted his food tray, he couldn’t hear and too weak to lift his arm if he saw them, no response so they moved on. I jumped up and said where you going, get this, they were not allowed to feed residents and only a registered food specialist handler can do that to make sure they don’t choke to death.. choking is bad you see, starving is OK.
I grabbed a food tray against their complaints and fed him, couldn’t get him to eat slower, bounced back next day telling his dad jokes sitting in his wheelchair.. Few days later my sister got involved as they could not reach me. As I informed her, she had to do same as me… same result, as was the third time. Since we were too effective against their plans. Then truedope said they ” had to” emergency lockdown the place, so 4th time we could not feed him anymore do to posted door guards.
One less person receiving pensions. Roughly every 30 people they managed to remove from the dole is 1 million ..PER Year the pensions have saved., not including care cost..
I despise the soulless evil BASTARDS.
