I listened to an interview with the writer Michael Lewis a few years ago. He said that after one of his books or articles was published that was critical of Wall Street, the blowback was immediate. The Chinese have a saying Wei Wu Wei. It means to think with out thinking, to act without acting. This is intuition, it happens naturally when we are relaxed.

In a real court a judge does not make prejudicial comments to the accused before sentencing*, nor does the accuser get on the stand and make tearful, revengeful, statements with the media present. The first would be a mistrial (and possible dismissal), the second, because what woman besides a paid actress would put her face on TV but for the exposure? Most rape victims would rather not be publicly identified; would you?
