The best way to get rid of oil is to get rid of all the experienced geologists and petroleum engineers like they did back in 2015. Today’s Millennial / Gen Z crop only know 2 things – how to drill and how to frac. Can’t make any money unless oil is over $60 / bbl. Forget about offshore and only 1 to 2 deep water projects per year coming on line and those crews are mostly in their 50s / 60s. Once Millenials hit 45 years old they will all be laid off too and replaced with Gen Z diversity rainbow. Good luck getting oil then. They’ll recall me when I’m about 70 to come in and fix things.

I’m “fixing” it as I write this. We’re going to replace oil with mineral brines and extract the lithium to make lithium-ion batteries used in electric cars.

if you think about it, the oil referenced is likely olive oil. I’ve never considered it to be anything else, nor is it a matter of salvation, just the accuracy of the truth of God’s Word. some people aim for it and hit the bullseye, some not so much.
That has historically been the understanding, but that understanding was made before petroleum was discovered. God has a longer view, and I personally allow for the possibility that both might be true.
If you think about it, both oils hold the same place of importance in our respective societies. Both have been given quasi religious status by virtue of their great utility.
There are so many articles on TBP. I can’t keep up. While most are good there are so many that it is impossible for me to digest the information.
I have been having the same problem, Cliff. It has gotten so I pick and choose based on the title and/or author. I pretty much do not read anything CONvid related, anything from SOTN is a joke, Ann Coulter is a non-starter, etc.
Read what is important to you, women have to cook, clean and do laundry, run errands. Men have to keep up the yard, if retired or single also what I have to do. Only so much time to get things done.

The younger generations will be living in another dark age without a grid, cooking over outdoor wood fires and living in animal skins, bathing in rivers or lakes and have outhouses circa 100 bc. All this crap (anti progess and deindustrialization) is pushed in gov.schools. Since IQ’s are dropping in each generation, they won’t mind living in squalor and disease without medicines.
I think many people truly don’t understand that modern life would not exist without oil!
How did people “live” without plastic, (much convenience), many products come from oil. Clothes, shoes, medical equipment, you name it.
Anti oil blatherers really don’t know shit. All of them should do completely without any benefit from oil for, say, two months. That will have them all dead and most importantly QUIET about that which they know nothing of any account.
I’m torn between think oil is a gift from God and also thinking it causes cancer.
