Guest Post by Kurt Schlichter
I would be so excited to be proven wrong. I mean, I would be thrilled. I would put on a little hat and do a little NYPD dance team dance, singing, “I was wrong, I was wrong! Hooray, hooray, hooray!” That’s what I would do if Donald Trump wins in November. I supported Ron DeSantis for many reasons, but a major one was that I believed Donald Trump was nearly certain to be defeated in the coming election. Well, Donald Trump appears to be doing a lot better right now. I think he’s still more likely than not going to lose, but if I’m wrong, I am thrilled about it.
Some of my newfound sanguinity regarding Donald Trump’s chances in November is based upon objective facts, like polls. Well, it’s as objective as modern polling can be. But there are other objective factors, like the fact that his opponent, Joe Biden, is a desiccated, corrupt, old pervert who’s leaped over the edge of senility into full-scale incoherence and soiling himself. Everybody knows it, and Robert Hur’s report did him no favors.
Sure, the New York Times and the rest of the regime media are trying to spin it as if we have to have a medical degree and a five-year residency in gerontology to assess our alleged president as a drooling, mindless husk. But the people see it, and the people know it. I’m not one of those people who believes that he, Very Real and Serious Doctor Jill, and the minions propping him up are going to just leave the power and prestige of their presidential positions for something as irrelevant to them as the good of the country.
Some of my rationale for thinking that Donald Trump has a better chance than he had a while ago is based on subjective factors. I’m feeling the vibe, and the vibe is more and more Trump-friendly. Look at these bizarre civil lawsuits and criminal frame jobs. Everybody can see what they are. Yeah, you have the worst lawyers in the world – that is, law professors, MSNBC analysts, and people who talk about law on Twitter, who aren’t me and about five other guys and gals – all telling us that these cases are a slam dunk, no-lose, take it to the bank mortal lock for the prosecutors. But they aren’t. It’s manifest nonsense legally, and as we saw in the Supreme Court handling of the one-neat-trick to kick him off the Colorado ballot case. Even some of the liberal judges on SCOTUS are unwilling to completely humiliate themselves to get the trained seals on CNN clapping.
These cases are objective garbage. They’re nonsense, and everybody can see it. Whatever the hell Alvin Bragg is trying to push is trash. Fani Willis, the gray goose-guzzling cash advocate, has utterly humiliated herself and seems likely to be kicked off this nonsense case, which a different prosecutor would review and perhaps toss in the trash where it belongs. The federal cases are not going to go to trial before the election, despite the newfound right of the government to a speedy trial, which apparently I missed in constitutional law despite all the geniuses on Twitter with a lot of degrees and no clients insisting it is a thing.
The Supreme Court is going to chop up these cases like sushi before the first biased juror sits his, her, or their ample behind down in a DC jury box. This is what happens when you invent crimes and twist statutes that were never meant to persecute political opponents into tools to persecute political opponents. But the fact that these cases are doomed legally is different from their effect on the voters. Obviously, the Democrats think that if any jury in the world passes judgment on Donald Trump then a bunch of Normies are going to get the vapors and refuse to vote for him. But normal people don’t believe in the legal system. They see what’s happening. They understand he can’t get a fair trial in New York, Atlanta, or Washington, DC. They know it’s all a lie. They know it’s all a scam. The objective fact is that his persecutions have made him more popular. Every time they pull this nonsense I’m exponentially more eager to go and pull the voting lever for Donald Trump in November. And I am not unique.
To win, Donald Trump has to unify the Republican Party and bring in some of those independents. Now, some independents may come over because they calculate that a few mean tweets are much less awful than watching their 401(k)s plummet even more. We all know that 2024 is going to be an economic disaster. It can’t be otherwise. And we’re going to have more international crises, more of a seeping wound of the border, more crime, more perverts in our schools, and – I really hope I’m wrong – a major terrorist attack like the kind I write about in my latest novel “The Attack.” Yes, the gross incompetence of Biden in his merry band of half-wits is going to hurt him.
He also needs to win the Republicans who supported other candidates, and for those of us who supported Ron DeSantis, the hurt feelz seem to be fading. There are still some folks who mistake Yes Ron for Never Trump, but the vast majority of us actually believe that the winner of the primaries wins the nomination – and accept that primaries are mean, being primaries and all. Most will come over. That’s not so clear about the supporters of Nikki Haley, who appear to be largely Democrats or Democrat-adjacent. With her endless emails and horrifying Twitter gaffes aside, she’s doner than done, and South Carolina will be a fork in her. Now, her supporters, both of them, will have to decide whether to stay Republican or stay home.
Look, Trump is not a shoo-in. He’s still got this huge mass of folks who utterly hate him and will crawl over the remains of a buffet pillaged by Chris Christie to vote against him. At best – best – the election is a toss-up, but a toss-up is infinitely better than a slam dunk for the donkeys. There’s a ton of work to do and a lot of potential black swans, twists, and turns, between now and the election. But one thing is certain. Trump can win. In the words of Jim Carrey in “Dumb and Dumber,” “So, you’re telling me there’s a chance?”

Kurt’s chances of learning, however, remain the same as ever.
I personally wish to thank Sundance and the other DVer for their crystalline representation of the Moronic Minority.
So when he wins and they pull the financial plug in this cesspool of a country he and white republicans will be blamed for everything good plan.
That’s a possibility, right there
When he wins, he’ll choose Deep State goons for all his top picks. The guy is too arrogant and narcissistic to learn.
I guess we’ll see what this Presidential Selection Kabuki Theater brings us.
What I know it will bring is:
Riots
Lies
More fake shit
More division
More laughable outrage from both sides
Trump not being on Twitter (and Twitter being diminished) probably helps him. Aside from the media magnifying his “mistakes” like saying we shouldn’t defend Europeon deadbeats, he seems to be flying under the radar.
Chronologically he coincides exactly with the biblical “last trump” and “trump of God” of the rapture of the true church of Jesus the Messiah.
Time will tell.
I promise I won’t say told you so on the way up.
And I promise that no one in Valhalla will care.
In Valhalla they are crying out for ice water.
in val kilmer they are saying “I’m your huckleberry.”
“I’m yer huckle bearer.”
That’s the handle on a casket. A huckle
He was telling the guy he would carry him
yes. maybe kilmer’s georgia gentleman accent-drawl (“say when”) tangles it a bit.
😃😄😁😆😅🤣😂
Look at all those down votes.
My theory is when the right disagrees with the rapture nearly as much as the left the likelihood of it being true goes up exponentially.
It amazes me the lengths many true christians will go to not believe the obvious truth regarding the rapture and end times scriptures.
Rapture was never mentioned by Jesus, a Jewish messianic figure, and the “end time scriptures” can be twisted to mean anything. I know things are going to get worse not because of some confused, contradictory old book but because that’s how human society goes.
Jesus never mentioned rapture.
I bet you go to a church who kisses the ass of Israel, teaching lies like they are God’s chosen people, and whoever thy want to genocide is fine. If you do, you’re one of the many fools bound for hell.
Biblical bullshit.
I like to read Mr. Schlichter, more in the past than recently. Prior to 2020 and even in the early months subsequent to that enormity of intricately styled fraud his screeds were enjoyable and brisk, today they hold a fatigued aroma of existential decay. A French seeming approach to electoral hygiene, strong on the surface yet on momentary olfactory examination revealing a desperation grounded in… denial?
They’ll install whomever they so choose in this ‘election’, as they have since 1960 and likely previous. Trump 2016 was the only candidate not selected by the deep state to win a presidential election in my lifetime. The whole proof of that is the holistic reaction by the state, media, entertainment and acadamy, that accompanied our choosing one not anointed by the actual rulers of this oligarchy.
Trump was selected by the NWO/Deep State in 2016. All of the winners, and in fact all of the losers, are selected by the Deep State. A person can’t even be a candidate unless the Deep State allows it. The candidates don’t necessarily have to win the election to be useful. By simply campaigning and/or participating in debates they can serve a purpose such as floating a particular trial balloon, causing a distraction, making another candidate look good by comparison, skewing polls, or some other useful purpose. But the Deep State usually has a preferred candidate, and in 2016 that was Trump, and in 2024 it is Trump again. He will ‘win’ this year.
Ron Paul was not chosen by the deep state. You said all of the losers . . .
Yes, it is possible that a very few people become candidates without being allowed to by the Deep State, but you can be sure that if that ever happens those candidates don’t have a chance of winning. And regarding Ron Paul, they could very well have wanted him as a candidate, or were at least okay with him being a candidate. His performance in the Republican debate, where Rudy Giuliani famously ridiculed him for saying that the U.S. was responsible for the 9/11 attack (by aggravating the Muslims, not as a false flag attack), allowed Rudy (who was actually deeply involved in the 9/11 cover-up) to grandstand and get lots of applause. (I seldom watch any of the debates because I am not a masochist, but that clip was played repeatedly on numerous websites.) They might have allowed Ron Paul in as a candidate just for that reason, i.e., to ridicule those who question the official narrative of 9/11. Of course, Ron Paul has adamantly maintained that he doesn’t believe that 9/11 was a false flag attack, which is why I don’t listen to him anymore.
A man is wrong on one point – admittedly, an enormous point – but is such a righteous fighter for over a half-century and counting, at almost ninety years old, and you dismiss him for it? No mortal reaches your requirements. Maybe don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
9/11 is my litmus test. If anyone is not smart enough to figure out that 9/11 was a false flag attack then I am not interested in listening to them anymore. That is why I also don’t listen to Fred Reed and Tucker Carlson, among others. (Of course, I am referring to people who are ostensibly anti-establishment. Virtually the entire establishment isn’t smart enough to figure out that 9/11 was a false flag attack, but I obviously don’t listen to them for many reasons, not just because of their opinion on 9/11.)
Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
That is exactly what I say to the Trump haters on here. There are a couple who stick out in their vitriolic TDS.
If the DS recruited Trump why have they spent so much time and energy trying to destroy him?
Good question. Most of the establishment does indeed hate Trump (or at least pretends to hate him), but most of the establishment is not part of the Deep State. They are just useful idiots who are manipulated by the NWO/Deep State to achieve their desired goals. For example, take the MSM. Most of the people in the MSM, including nearly all of the news anchors and pundits that you see on TV, are just clueless useful idiots who don’t even know that the Deep State exists, let alone know that they are supporting it. They are just doing what their bosses and sponsors tell them to do. Only a handful of the owners and editors of the MSM newspapers/magazines and television networks, and a very few other members of the MSM, know that they are supporting the Deep State.
But the Deep State allows, and even encourages, the unhinged MSM news anchors and pundits to attack Trump for several reasons. When Trump was president the attacks, including Russiagate and the impeachment, provided a distraction and gave Trump a good excuse for not keeping any of his campaign promises so that his supporters wouldn’t abandon him before the scamdemic started. The scamdemic was the main reason Trump was selected to win in 2016. He neutralized the Right so that they didn’t effectively resist the scamdemic tyranny. Additionally, due to his polarizing nature, which is precisely why half the population has TDS, the Left religiously supported all of the scamdemic nonsense like lockdowns, masks, social distancing and ‘vaccines’. They would have supported most of that stuff even without Trump, just because it is their nature to believe nonsense like that, but their TDS caused them to have a religious zeal for it. For some reason they thought they were defying Trump in particular, and the Right in general, by doing that. I have never quite understood that, because Trump himself supported all of that stuff, and bragged about his role in developing the ‘vaccines’, but that apparently didn’t matter to the Left.
Well I am in I think the minority here who doesnt think Trump is controlled opposition but ,just playing the devils advocate , perhaps they would be trying to placate folks like us who have lost all trust confidence faith in ” the system ” . A kind of putting the Genie back in the bottle or unringing the bell attempt ? I do contemplate the possibilities and likely hoods of opposing opinions to my own . I dont rule anything out until I can be absolutely certain about it . But I just dont think Trump is controlled opposition , I think Hubris, thinking that they had it in the bag in 2016 ( the bag being Killary lol ) , underestimating their opponents and of course as always overestimating their own capabilities , explains why Trump pulled off the win in 16 . Notice they made sure he didnt do a repeat in 2020 .
“Trump 2016 was the only candidate not selected by the deep state to win a presidential election in my lifetime.”
Sorry to inform you but you’re still asleep.
A cynic can be said to be a man who refuses to think.
Dominion has a different opinion
And we’re entitled to it.
Malicious prosecution by blacks against whites is how the south ended up with the kkk.
The kkk did the policing the government refused to do.
If the kkk had not been formed?
There would be no whites in the south.
Heck, there would be no south because the niggers would have nigged it into the dirt.
Ok, Democrat
“I would put on a little hat…”
I bet Kurt would.
On top of the conical one he wears already.
THERE WON’T BE A ELECTION…AND THE “TRUMP CARD” DOESN’T COUNT IN THE GAME OF POKER…RE-MEM-BER???
LOOK AT THE WORD= JOKE-ER…REMEMBER WHAT A “JOKE” IS FOLKS???
FFS, turn your caps off.
The gummint will win, as it always has.
it’ll winnow as much wheat from chafed citizen chaff as it can.
“Chafed citizen” = +1,000,000.
Panem et circenses, meet silk drawers and soothing ointment.
dominion wins.
“I would put on a little hat and do a little NYPD dance team dance, singing, “I was wrong, I was wrong! Hooray, hooray, hooray!”
I always thought SchlichLicker was gay…this proves it.
democracy will continue until morale improves.
Trump is in a Biden war.
He has experience in bidding wars.
Except he was the boss in those. Here, he has a boss. Gamechanger.
.
Kunstler’s usual keen perception!
” This battle has a long way to go. It is clearly a battle of good against manifest evil. The evil side has done its thing, waged war on the American people — by working overtime to systematically derange your minds.”
What difference will it make if its Tweedledum or Tweedledee? Neither one will be in charge! Are you really that dumb?
Like, with a rag?
More mainstream voting narratives from TBP what a fucking joke. Trump the jew puppet or Biden the jew puppet doesn’t matter one bit. We don’t elect these motherfuckers. Absolutely ridiculous to believe so
And take fucking Tulsi with you.
“he’s still more likely than not going to lose”
Lost me right there, Kurt
so trump is in a toss-up against an 80+ year old communist fart who shits his pants, stumbles up the stairs, and can’t string 2 coherent words together? what does that say about trump?
trump is a pompous ignorant deep state jew. “biden” is an actor. in fact both of them are.
None of this matters. Whites are a minority from age 15 and under. So, in another decade or two, whites will be a minority overall. If the non- whites remain welfare parasites and dumber than a pet rock, how do you think things are going to work out, no matter who fills the presidential suite between now and then?
Kurt Sphincter. What an a-hole. This guy thinks that Trump will make the country well again. He believes in elections and voting.
