This is the exact age when the joy gets sucked out of your life

Via Marketwatch

Middle age is miserable.

At least, that’s the implication of a new survey of 2,000 people from U.K. theater chain Cineworld, which found that life is “least fun” at age 45. Additionally, more than half of people say that finding fun in everyday life gets harder the older you get.

Previous research supports the idea that middle age is rough. Data from the U.K.’s Office of National Statistics (ONS), which looked at the well-being of more than 300,000 adults over three years, found that people ages 40-59 were the least happy and most anxious. And a working paper distributed by the National Bureau of Economic Research found that there is “much evidence” that “humans experience a midlife psychological ‘low’.”

Start thinking about silver before it becomes popular again

Guest Post by Simon Black

In 663 BC, King Ashurbanipal of the Assyrian Empire invaded Egypt and sacked the city of Waset (located in modern day Luxor on the Nile River).

Ashurbanipal vanquished the city, purportedly seizing more than 75 metric tons of silver for his personal collection.

At the time in the ancient world, the prevailing ratio between gold and silver was 1:2. In other words, 75 metric tons (= 75,000 kilograms) of silver was worth 37,500 kilograms of gold, equal to $1.76 billion in today’s money.

That 1:2 gold/silver ratio had held for thousands of years across Persia, Mesopotamia, and Ancient Egypt, possibly since as early as 3,000 BC.

Everyone Is a Russian Asset

Guest Post by Matt Taibbi

America laughed at Hillary Clinton’s remarks about Tulsi Gabbard, but her ideas fit perfectly in the intellectual mainstream

Democratic presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard reacts as she listens to a question from the audience during the Presidential Gun Sense Forum, in Des Moines, IowaElection 2020 Tulsi Gabbard, Des Moines, USA - 10 Aug 2019

Hillary Clinton, not long ago the nominee of the Democratic Party, had some choice words about the state of American politics Friday.

“I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate,” Clinton said on a podcast with former Barack Obama aide David Plouffe. “She’s the favorite of the Russians.”

Clinton appeared to be talking about Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, a combat veteran. She wasn’t done, teeing off on former Green Party candidate Jill Stein:

“[Jill Stein’s] also a Russian asset… Yeah, she’s a Russian asset — I mean, totally. They know they can’t win without a third-party candidate.”

She went on to talk about Donald Trump:

“I don’t know what Putin has on him, whether it’s both personal and financial … I assume it is.”

Homeschoolers are Educated, Not Indoctrinated

Guest Post by Ron Paul

Schoolchildren across the country recently skipped school or walked out of class to rally for new restrictions on our economic and personal liberties in the name of fighting “climate change.” Instead of punishing students for playing hooky to promote a political cause, many teachers and administrators allowed, or even encouraged, students to skip school to attend these events. Public schools have also given students the day off to attend pro-gun control rallies.

The Trouble with Canada

Federal election in Canada today. If we get another 4 years of #BlackFace Justin the map above will become a reality. It will be mainly a result of the federal government crushing our resource-based economy (in the name of climate change) along with the math problem illustrated below.

The west will not remain while Ottawa has its boot on our throat and its hand in our pocket.

Our country is the dark horse of western instability.

Hopefully, my countrymen will choose wisely. We’ll know tonight.

You’d think Hillary Clinton might come up with a better zinger than “Russian asset” when she flew out of her volcano on leathery wings Friday and tried to jam her blunted beak through Tulsi Gabbard’s heart. Much speculation has been brewing in the Webiverse that the Flying Reptile of Chappaqua might seek an opening to join the Democratic Party 2020 free-for-all. Wasn’t “Russian asset” the big McGuffin in the Mueller Report — the tantalizing and elusive triggering device that added up to nothing — and aren’t most people over twelve years old onto that con by now?

55 Ways to Starve the Beast

Guest Post by Daisy Luther

Big Agri, Big Pharma, Big Tech, Big Food, Big Banking, Big Oil, and Big Government form a Beast that seeks to control us. Here\'s how to fight back and starve the Beast. | The Organic Prepper

A term coined in 1985 by an unnamed staffer of the Reagan administration was “Starve the Beast”.  This referred to a fiscally conservative political strategy to cut government spending by paying less in taxes.  So, in the original sense, “the Beast” was the government, and people were to starve said beast by spending less and using loopholes to pay less in taxes.

Now the Beast is a whole lot bigger.

These days the Beast has a lot more tentacles than just the government.

Will Hillary Run in 2020?

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

I would say yes. I know that the big Democratic donors are yelling they will not fund Warren. Hillary has been cagey, but the coup against Trump is in full motion. The FBI just came out of the blue to say they exonerate Hillary. You have to read the fine print. What they are saying is NOT that she is innocent, but she did not KNOWINGLY violate the law. You would be prosecuted for such an act for the presumption is you know what the law is. In Hillary’s case, the FBI has turned the law upside down. They are doing that to clear the way for her to run in 2020.

Snit Romney

Guest Post by Kurt Schlichter

Snit Romney

I want my vote back, Mitt. Give me back my vote.

In 2012, I voted for this insufferable establishment icon, this inept goof who the Democrats wish every Republican would emulate. Some nights, I wake up sweating and screaming when I relive it in my nightmares. I should have taken my ballot, lit it on fire and flushed it down the Schiffhole.

But Romney does serve a purpose, as hard as that is to see through his pathetic antics. His perpetual groveling for approval – including, hilariously, from Donald Trump himself who just broke him right in front of our eyes over the Secretary of State gig – is so shameful and cringe-iliciously embarrassing that it obscures the vital role this shiny doofus can play for conservatism.

He’s a perfect conservative cautionary example.

Navy Patents UFO-Like Compact Nuclear Fusion Reactor And Hybrid Space/Sea Crafts

Authored by Jake Anderson via TheMindUnleashed.com,

A mysterious set of patents filed recently by a U.S Navy researcher has caught the eyes of technologists and conspiracy theorists alike.

These patents describe exotic technologies that do not exist in the commercial or military spheres—as far as we know—and that usually only surface in UFO lore, including high-energy electromagnetic force fields, revolutionary propulsion systems, and a “hybrid aerospace-underwater craft.”
