Federal election in Canada today. If we get another 4 years of #BlackFace Justin the map above will become a reality. It will be mainly a result of the federal government crushing our resource-based economy (in the name of climate change) along with the math problem illustrated below.
The west will not remain while Ottawa has its boot on our throat and its hand in our pocket.
Our country is the dark horse of western instability.

I followed this election quite closely as I worked for a PPC candidate in my riding. I went to a town hall and was amazed at the levels of delusion on the left. All they talked about was
climate change
climate emergencies
climate holocaust
and
climate deniers…
The Greens, the Libs, The Dippers and the Communist (yeah we have one running in this election here)
to a man, a trans and a woman all claimed that it would take only five years to turning the economy into a net carbon zero socialist paradise… and most in audience clapped like seals when they pandered to Progressives onstage.. including the Conservative Country singer George Canyon…
They were, of course, a bit short on specifics but that didn’t matter.. Ignorance blind the easily led to details that don’t really matter.

RiNS, are those people any worse than the people on the “right” who think Trump is really going to fix things? That if we can only keep Republicans in the Legislature and the Whitehouse that things will be ok? Trump was a speed bump on the road to hell. Or a “bleeding of the brakes” I think is how Uncola put it. I’ll take the extra time because I needed it. But my other half started to think this could go on forever because 10 years have passed and the lights are still on and the water is still coming out of the taps. He is tired of my pessimism.

During my travels this summer, I discovered something profoundly profound.
There are a lot of really good people hiding among the others. They just have forgotten not only how to read the signs but also how to write their own.
I know great effort goes into the meme industry and I’m sure it has value. But nothing changes our hearts and our minds like the stories from people who are just like you and me.
Either that makes sense or it does not. I drove up to Patton Junction to mail a Halloween card to Admin with a note or two inside and discovered the post office has changed hours once again. There do not appear to be any. At least not this week. MODOT (Missouri Department of Transportation) was outside working and Tim the Mailman Taylor was not there. Living in the middle of nowhere has drawbacks. Post Office is closed for road construction. How many of you can ever say you saw that happen?
I haven’t yet but my post office is the size of a postage stamp so it could happen.

Ha, right. Cut and split my oak and maple around May like this year. Then cut the same with ash, which; is really dry along with birch which will burn first. The code enforcers need extra drying so that the fbi can’t get no dna. Know what I mean? I’ve preferred Vermont Castings.

I can remember, back in about the 1970s, when there was a fairly strong Quebec separatist movement. A significant portion of the population of Quebec wanted to separate from the rest of Canada. Having Quebec separate from the rest of Canada was the no-brainer to end all no-brainers, but unfortunately the Canadians aren’t any smarter than Americans.
They’ve been being “bribed” with taxpayer money via transfer payments ever since, to stay.
For Canada’s sake, we can hope 0bama’s support for blackface has the same effect on the election as he had down here.
I visit Ontario 1-2 times a year and Quebec occasionally, and have been visiting Ontario for 35+ years now. The changes are incredible.
In the 1980’s Ontario was all white, somewhat less wealthy than the US midwest, happy, clean, and stable.
Late 1990’s Ontario was still all white, borderline poor, not so happy, but still basically clean and stable.
Money caught up in the 2000’s along with its typical problems. Immigration went from modest to huge in this period. The construction boom was enormous. Traffic increased by 500-1000%.
In the last 5 years I find Ontario, or at least everything in a 40 mile radius of Toronto, to be majority-minority (an actual accepted Canadian term, FYI), cosmopolitan, ultra crowded, DIRTY, not happy, run down in many ways, and with a feeling of criminal danger I had never before experienced in Canada. Every government job category is dominated by some minority, and seemingly one different minority for each type of job. Looks like nepotism and discrimination is in full force.
Montreal is a mixed bag and I don’t have the depth of reference knowledge.
In the early 80’s Toronto was amazing and beautiful. It was the cutting edge of everything. The only “big city” I ever could have lived in. Friends from there say it has gone to shit with third world immigration out the wazoo. Truly sad.
