RFK Jr’s First Televised Town Hall Post-Mortem: ‘Our Country Will Start Healing When Govt Tells The Truth’

Authored by Peter Barry Chowka via AmericanThinker.com,

NewsNation’s 90-minute town hall broadcast live from Chicago Wednesday with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was an intellectually stimulating and emotionally moving event. Despite the hour of mostly put downs that preceded it (hosted by Chris Cuomo with featured guest Bill O’Reilly) and the half hour of analysis that followed it (Chris Cuomo again with a panel that included Former Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker – the most fair and objective), Kennedy more than met the challenging questions presented to him by town hall host Elizabeth Vargas and a number of pre-selected Democrat and Independent voters in Chicago, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.

By the end of the ninety minutes of town hall, I kept thinking of this statement attributed to Ronald Reagan: “The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally – not a 20 percent traitor.”

I found myself agreeing with Kennedy at least 80% of the time.

RFK Fund Raising Becoming Interesting

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

I have been getting a lot of emails from Europe and Asia asking if they can donate to RFK’s campaign. The fact that so many are asking that question is in itself interesting. I have never received such a question regarding Trump, Hillary, Biden, Bush, McCain, or Al Gore. The mere fact that for the first time, I have been getting this question relative to RFK, I believe, demonstrates that he has a lot more appeal than the press or, certainly, the Democrats want to admit.

NH Democratic Party Freaks Out As RFK Jr To Speak At Libertarian Festival

Via ZeroHedge

The New Hampshire Democratic Party is urging 2024 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy to cancel his speaking engagement at a national libertarian gathering, smearing the host Free State Project as an “extremist organization.”

On Friday, state chairman Raymond Buckley sent Kennedy a melodramatic letter expressing the party’s “serious disappointment and grave concerns” over RFK Jr’s planned Thursday appearance at the 20th Annual Porcupine Freedom Festival, better known by its informal name, “Porcfest.”

On its Facebook page, the Free State Project called the letter the “best endorsement yet! Thanks, Chairman.” Kennedy flatly rejected the plea within two hours of it being posted to Twitter by the New Hampshire Democratic Party.

If you’re wondering why our country is lost in lunatic raptures of lawless Lawfare and futile MAGAry, it’s because our economy has already collapsed, and our culture and politics with it downstream have also collapsed into spectacular degeneracy. It has already happened. Maybe you don’t know it.

The business model is broken. We’re a shadow of the industrial economy that won a great war and enjoyed a boisterous peace. You can’t replace ball bearing factories with theme parks and hedge funds. Sorry. The full faith and credit of the USA is not embodied in those frivolities, so our money is losing its mojo fast.

Story at-a-glance

  • April 19, 2023, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. formally announced his 2024 Democratic presidential campaign. Early polls show he’s got nearly 20% of the Democratic vote
  • Democratic Party officials are doing everything they can to avoid public debates, and their media allies are not giving Kennedy the opportunity to share his views either
  • May 17, 2023, Krystal Ball, cohost of the online show “Breaking Point,” interviewed Kennedy. According to Ball, Kennedy’s “vaccine skepticism” and “antivaccine advocacy” is a “red line” that disqualifies him from holding the highest office
  • She repeatedly interrupted Kennedy with Big Pharma talking points — putting her own ignorance on public display — and didn’t allow him to answer her questions. Kennedy asked her to show him where he got things wrong many times, and she deflected with broad generalities
  • Several journalists and political commentators, including Jimmy Dore, Viva Frei, Kim Iversen and Glenn Greenwald have critiqued Ball’s attempted smear. In the end, the only one who looked bad was Ball herself

Robert Kennedy Jr: America needs a revolution

Guest Post by Freddie Sayers

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. files to run for president in 2024 as a Democrat

For decades, as a scion of the Kennedy family and environmental litigator, Robert F. Kennedy Junior was considered an establishment hero. In recent years, however, his rhetoric against Covid lockdowns and vaccines — culminating in him making a comparison with Anne Frank and the Holocaust at a vaccine mandate rally — sealed his reputation among most commentators as irresponsible and potentially dangerous. So, since he announced that he was running for president two weeks ago, challenging Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination, he has presented the establishment media with something of a conundrum. He is already polling at 20% — should he be ignored or interrogated?

When Mr Kennedy agreed to speak to UnHerd, we thought we’d try something different: instead of re-rehearsing familiar arguments over vaccines, we thought we’d actually try to understand the way he thinks, and why he appeals to so many people. Does his curious basket of views — on the environment, Ukraine, corporate power, cultural issues — hang together? Below is an edited transcript.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a Socialist in Disguise

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Robert F Kennedy Jr spoke out against the COVID pandemic and demanded a serious investigation into those who promoted the worldwide panic. “Just to be clear, I will prosecute any official who engaged in criminal wrongdoing during the pandemic. Corrupt individuals are a small part of the problem. Our agencies have been captured by corporate power, but the vast majority of their staff are decent people. We need to get corporate influence out of *all* regulatory agencies so that they can serve the people honestly,” Bobby wrote on his Twitter. While he may be more moderate than Biden, do not be fooled—he is not presidential material.

Superlawyer Robert Barnes — The Real History of Robert Kennedy Jr.

Submitted by CCRider

Guest Post by Charles Burris

  • In his early 20’s, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. attacked the overthrow of Allende in Chile. (See Atlantic Monthly, February 1974). In 1975, before the Church Committee completed revelations, he condemned American assassinations of foreign leaders. (See Wall Street Journal, December 16, 1975). When others stayed silent as we unleashed Islamic jihad through Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, RFK pushed back in twin articles in February of 1979 published in the Post and the Boston Globe against the coups. RFK continue to criticize almost every major foreign intervention in his lifetime, which started with Vietnam alongside his father’s campaign in 1968 through his criticism of both Iraq wars, the intervention in Syria, and the involvement in Afghanistan, criticizing these oil-driven wars, as his commentary in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2009, 2016, and 2018 detail. As the latest iteration of that, see a pre-campaign, but recent piece in Politico.

MY VOTE RECONSIDERED

Guest Post by CCRider

Robert F Kennedy Jr to challenge Biden for White House - BBC News

My last essay was entitled “Take This Vote And Shove It”.  As I then explained I had done a deep dive into the Kennedy assassination in the mid-1980s and came to the conclusion it was a coup carried out by “our” government.  By logical extension, it meant that the civics lessons I learned in the eighth grade were all BS.  I determined then that I would not lower myself by playing in a rigged game.  In 1988 Bush senior ran against Mike Dukakis, governor of Massachusetts.  I considered them both establishment stiffs that made nonvoting a no-brainer.  So my last vote for President in a national race was for Ronald Reagan 38 years ago.

The Great Divide

Guest Post by CJ Hopkins

Robert Kennedy, Jr. is running for president. I could not possibly be more excited. So, I’m going to give Bobby some unsolicited advice, which, if he knows what’s good for him, he will not take.

I feel OK about doing this because, even if Bobby, in the wee hours of the night, when the mind is vulnerable to dangerous ideas, were to seriously consider taking my advice, I am sure he has people — i.e., PR people, campaign strategists, pollsters, and so on — that would not hesitate to take him aside and disabuse him of any inclination to do that.

GRAY CHAMPION?

Born in 1954, so he is from the Prophet generation. Can he tap into the disillusionment of the people like Trump did in 2016? Or is he the Ron Paul of the Democrat party who will be marginalized and destroyed by his own party?

Of course, Yahoo News, and all the rest of the in-the-tank news media greeted Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s presidential announcement by branding him a “noted-anti-vaxxer,” as if that’s a bad thing. Yes, noted, thank you very much. Reuters elaborated: “Kennedy has been banned from YouTube and Instagram for spreading misinformation about vaccines and the COVID-19 pandemic.” By now, whenever you see the agit-prop platitude spreading misinformation, does your brain not instantly translate that into telling the truth? And by now, does banishment from social media not tell you that certain guilty parties recognize a truth-teller when they see one?

Watch: RFK Jr. Tells Deep State “Nice Try” As Fire-Alarm Interrupts His Presidential Announcement

Authored by Steve Watson via Summit News,

As Robert F. Kennedy Jr. officially announced he is running for the Democratic nomination for President in 2024, the fire alarm at the packed out Plaza Hotel in Boston interrupted his speech as he waxed lyrical on failures of the deep state.

Kennedy had turned to talking about how China is mastering infrastructure, building roads and bridges while the U.S. military industrial complex has been bombing them into rubble.

Then the fire alarm sounded.

“Nice try” Kennedy quipped after the alarm continued, prompting the crowd to roar with approval.

Watch:

Earlier in the speech, Kennedy spoke about his uncle JFK vowing to “take the CIA and shatter it into a thousand pieces and scatter it into the wind” after the disastrous Bay of Pigs incident.

In His Campaign Announcement Speech, RFK Jr. BLASTS Trump for Locking Down the Country in 2020

Guest Post by Debra Heine

RFK Jr. Announces Presidential Bid: Details on Anti-Vax Democrat's Boston Event – NBC Boston

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he blames former President Donald Trump for the medical and economic devastation caused by the 2020 lockdown—even though it wasn’t his idea—because he was the president of the United States at the time and “the buck stops” with him.

Kennedy, the third of 11 children of the late Sen. Robert Kennedy and Ethel Skakel Kennedy, made the remarks as he launched his bid to run for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States in Boston, Massachusetts.

His candidacy has debuted with the support of 14 percent of voters who backed Joe Biden in 2020, according to a USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll.

“The lockdown was the biggest shift in wealth in human history,” RFK Jr. told the overflow, standing-room-only crowd at Boston Park Plaza. “I blame President Trump for the lockdown.”
