The link below is a test to see where you fit regarding autism. Takes 5 minutes or less.

The good news for me …

“The average score for the original control group of this test was 16.4 and your score is below that. Your results suggest that you show few autistic traits and it is highly unlikely that you are suffering from Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. ” ——– woohoo!!!

The bad news for me …

“If you feel, however, that you are not able to function normally in day-to-day life [fuck yeah!], it may be that you are suffering from a different or related condition. In these circumstances, go and see your GP to discuss these issues further. ” ———— shit.

Hew, AWD, you taking on new clients?

Bob, that video, and all the others are very disturbing.

One day the people who just stand by idly in those video’s will not, one day there will be a group beat down of a cop, then the cops will come out in full and deadly force, then this shit will get real, real fast.

Funny you all should say that… coming back from an event tonight, I exited the train station to see a cop cornering two 20-something kids (girl and guy) in the corner just outside the door. Heard him ask for their ID and threaten to arrest them because they wouldn’t provide it. The girl was telling him she didn’t have to produce her ID because they weren’t doing anything wrong. She said the cop was targeting them just because they were black.

I stepped a couple of yards away, where a young guy (late 20s) was standing there watching, phone ready to start recording. Asked him what happened; he said he was riding his bike on the sidewalk, heard a cop say “keep moving” and had a light shined on him. Turns out, the cop was telling the two kids standing in the doorway to keep moving… they were sheltering from the drizzle and saying good-bye; she’d come to meet her boyfriend for dinner, he worked at a gas station a block away and walked her back to the train. They were talking before she headed into the station and him back to work.

As the argument heated up, the girl kept saying that the cop should ask any of the people standing around (about 6 of us) if they were doing anything wrong. The cop kept getting louder, puffing out his chest and telling them they had to listen to him. We bystanders kept closing in.

Cop eventually told them to move inside or face arrest, and the young man did pull his girlfriend in. The cop left, and the other young guy and I approached the couple to find out what happened… and to calm down the girl. The guy was cool but wrote it off to “this is the world we live in.” I said, it may be, but it doesn’t have to be… it’s wrong and you don’t have to produce your ID like that.” The girl agreed; they knew their rights, but were used to (and sick of) the constant intimidation. She thanked us for calming her down and went to catch her train. Guy walked off with the two of us, and thanked us for stepping in. He said the cop’s breath stank of alcohol and they were pretty worried he’d actually do something to them.

I think he was surprised that a couple of white people would actually help out, but I told him I’m sick of reading of cops abusing citizens like that, and the other guy said he never believed he’d be in a position to videotape a cop abusing people, but was ready to do it if it happened. Black guy just kept saying, “it happens all the time.” I finally said, “look, there are more of us than there are of them,” and he had an epiphany… because it’s true, and we can fight back and take them any time.

It was one of those moments when you realize that it’s going to take all of us to stand up and say / do something, but it’s not as difficult as it may seem. There really are more of us than there are of them, and it takes just a few to say “enough is enough.” Yeah, they’ll fight back, but only so long.

Awesome story Thinker. I have never witnessed a cop beating on a person, these videos make me cringe at the indifference of bystanders. I’m sure it’s the life long conditioning that the cops have ultimate authority and not to be reckoned with.

But one day, one day……game on.
