I wonder how many more ethanol plants will go belly up when corn reaches $8 or $9 per bushel? What would we do without our green energy president?

Long List of Failed Obama Green Energy & Solar Companies in the Billions

This is just the short list of energy companies backed by President Barack Obama that have failed.  President Obama has wasted tax payer money on these companies and he wants you to re-elect him so he can give you more of the same.

Being the ideologue that he is, he WONT back down from funding more fake (meaning they have never proven themselves profitable or actually have made a product that works)

Can the United States of America REALLY afford FOUR MORE YEARS of this president?

List Of Failed Green Energy Jobs – By Obama

  • Bright Source: FAIL
  • Solyndra: FAIL
  • LSP Energy: FAIL
  • Energy Conversion Devices: FAIL
  • Abound Solar: FAIL

Look at all that “green” money he has burned up! Maybe that is what accounts for the rise in CO2 levels, thinks so? John

    And his supporters DON’T CARE.

Just like they went from peace activists to war-pushers, this is not a failure, it is just somebody else’s fault.

This country makes me want to hurl. I used to feel so lucky to have born here, now all I can muster is a growing sense of fear and dread as to what we have become.

On the ethanol fiasco, let’s not forget to give George W. Bush and the farm-state Republican congressmen their due.

    From the Washington Examiner:

The free market’s success is not a political philosophy. It’s not ideology. It’s fact. Has been for hundreds of years and for hundreds of years governments have been trying to control the free market and have failed at every step. How successful was Prohibition? Throughout its existence the booze flowed. The demand was there and the government didn’t have the ability to legislate it away.

The Obama administration has pumped billions of dollars into solar energy in an effort to create new enterprise, a new market, an alternative to oil.

It’s bad enough this administration’s efforts to create a market where none existed has failed miserably. We should be outraged as the loan guarantors.

    In a related green issue…

Preview of Barack Obama’s Speech to the Nation Sunday Night:

My fellow Americans, due to the weakness in employment and growth in our economy, I am today issuing the following Executive Orders.

    1. We have approximately 20 million people in the employment workforce who are currently unemployed. Effective immediately, I order the deportation or elimination of 20 million undocumented workers (or Jews if you prefer) that currently have jobs. This will open up immediate job opportunities for the 20 million unemployed, bringing our unemployment rate to zero.

2.In order to make sure that the unemployment number stays at zero, I have ordered the setting up of a national lottery system for pregnant women and people over 65. Each month the names of a number of pregnant women will be drawn, to undergo Planned Parenthood abortions. At the same time, an equal number of names of people over 65 will be drawn to undergo euthanasia. This way, the birth/death ratio model used to adjust the unemployment number will no longer be an influence. This lottery number will be adjusted each month to take into account women who miscarry and people who die by other causes.

    3. As you know, the Supreme Court recently ruled that my health insurance mandate is constitutional. This mandate was designed to ensure that the 3 million people who currently do not need medical care, or pay for their healthcare out of their own pocket, may no longer function in this manner. Everyone must have health insurance, because we cannot depend on these “free-riders” to continue to be responsible for their own behavior now, or in the future.

With that in mind, effective immediately, there will no longer be a monetary system that uses cash or provides credit. Each person will receive a government debit card for all financial transactions. This is what we mean by a “single payer” system. No longer will you receive payment for your labor. No longer will you live beyond your means, or, have the ability to live beyond your means. All of your income and savings from whatever source will be transferred to the government. Your new debit card will contain a value, determined by us, that will be sufficient each month to maintain a standard of living that we deem appropriate. Currently, this would be the same lower-middle class in which I grew up. While this may seem harsh, it is the right thing to do.

    4. Effective immediately there will be no more elections.

Thank you. God bless you, and God bless Ken…eerrr…. the United States of America. (Picture a green onion here)

  10. efarmer says:

If ethanol was a bad idea, it’s because the government got involved. Left alone to the free market forces (as if we have anything that resembles THAT anymore) the system would have decided what levels and whether to have it at all.

As a farmer I do find it a little disturbing the horrendous lack of understanding of it, but so be it. No one here is old enough to remember that fully a THIRD of all farm products went for fuel as recently as 80 years ago. Before machinery we had to feed the horses, and they ate a lot.

NOW, I fully expect the government to step in soon, perhaps within a month, and suspend the ethanol mandate. This will be a game changer. While ethanol will still be made and blended, the psychology will grip the commodity markets. This deflation coupled with Europe ready to collapse will send us into our long awaited collapse. The dollar will strengthen, which will slash ag exports, further sending the ag sector, one of the few that were keeping this country hanging on, into its next economic descent. There will be tales of woe as farm payments are halted at the same time. This will take a year or so.

Me, I’m ready, because I’m not going to play this game anymore. I just need to learn to make wine.

DaveL, while I thoroughly enjoyed the reading of the “speech,” I have to point something out because I hear it again and again.

And, while I’m 99.999% sure I got my original info from the BLS, I could be mistaken because I read so much, from so many places.

Anyway, the “Birth/Death” model is estimating small businesses opening & closing, not people.

If I’m wrong, somebody please correct me, otherwise thanks for allowing me to voice a pet peeve of mine.

  12. DaveL says:

TeresaE, you are correct. But it would be easier to abort future business owners, and euthanize current business owner in order to keep the B/D ratio neutral. No buildings to construct or raze. No loans to give out or collect. No employees to hire or fire, no health insurance to cover, etc. Frankly, I just made up some shit because I’m tired of listening to Oblamo whine about his problems.
