SANDY RELIEF BILL FILLED WITH $9 BILLION OF PORK

This is what the slimeballs in Congress do when they think we aren’t watching. First of all there should be $0 spent by the Federal government to bailout New Jersey and New York. The Federal government does not have $60 billion to give. We run a $3.5 billion deficit per day. Every dime of this money is being borrowed, with the bill being passed on to future unborn generations. If the country wants to give $60 billion to people in New Jersey and New York so they can rebuild their houses 100 yards from the Atlantic Ocean, then we need to cut the $60 billion from someplace else. How about food stamps? How about the military industrial complex? How about green energy subsidies? How about the Department of Orwellian Security?

Noooo. We can’t cut anything. Not only can’t we cut one fucking cent from Federal spending, the maggots in DC actually added $9 freaking billion to this bloated waste of a bill for shit that has nothing to do with Sandy. I can’t wait until this corrupt, fetid, disgusting excuse for a country collapses under the weight of debt and lies.

Congress Accused of Sneaking Unrelated ‘Pork’ Spending into Sandy Emergency Aid Bill: ‘It’s Typical of Washington’

American Majority Action Spokesman Ron Meyer Says Sandy Aid Bill Packed With Pork Spending

The Senate approved a $60.4 billion recovery package on Friday intended to help the states affected by Hurricane Sandy in November. Appearing on “Cavuto” on Friday night, American Majority Action spokesman Ron Meyer said the bill was also packed with tons of “pork” spending, some of which won’t even occur until after 2013.

Some of the pork spending reportedly goes towards projects that have nothing to do with Hurricane Sandy or the victims, including millions of dollars for tree planting in areas untouched by Sandy and a new roof for the Smithsonian Museum. When an elected representative appropriates government spending for local projects to help his or her district, it is know as “pork barrel” spending.

“Why was this in the emergency bill for Sandy? It doesn’t make any sense.” Only $1 out of every $6 — $9 billion of the $60 billion will be spent in 2013. That means 85 percent doesn’t come until 2014 and beyond. That’s not immediate relief. What this bill is fundamentally is a pork bill.”

Instead, Meyer suggested the Senate should’ve passed a $9 billion “loan” to the states affected by Sandy instead of sneaking in all the wasteful spending before the end of the year.

“It’s disgraceful to load a bill like this that has good motives, that has good intentions that is going to help people, with pork,” he added. “Why are you putting your own projects in it. It’s disgraceful. It’s typical of Washington.”

In an email to TheBlaze, Meyer explained that $1 out of every $20 spent in the Sandy bill will go to “non-relief-related pork.”

Admin, With respect, I want to believe that your choice of words are not exactly what you wanted to say. My family, my grandkids, and all of us, including you, need to have a future in this country , in fact, you and I and almost everyone else here make this country our home–we are this country. Absolutely, we have too many putrid politicians and FSA members amongst us.
There is an ancient saying, “He who speaks ill of his wife speaks of himself” I understand there are hairs all around this translation but “He who speaks ill of his country… he who wishes for his country’s demise is speaking of himself” (and his family).

I may have all my thoughts askew but maybe a different verbiage such as: “I can’t wait for this corrupt, fetid, disgusting excuse for a(n) (economy/government/other choice (pick one or all)) collapses”
Many souls have toiled and been lost to simply toss OUR COUNTRY in to the toilet.
Thanks for reading my disjointed shit.

I meant what I said. This country is completely captured by psychotic criminals. The existing social order will need to collapse before we have any chance at a better country. We will not be able to change our course through the ballot box. The billionaires hand pick the politicians. We don’t live in a democratic republic. We live in a totalitarian state based on fear and materialism.

I know most people do not want to grasp this truth, but the facts cannot be ignored.

Part of that $9 billion pork spending is going to buy boat docks, jacuzzis, pools, barbeque pits, and additions onto the houses of section 8 recipients. Too bad for admin, maybe Mike, his section 8 neighbor will let him jump in the jacussi once in awhile.

A slap on the wrist, a six-month ban from trading, and don’t give us the $100 million back. I’ve always looked at white-collar crime as being as bad or worse than some of the physically violent crimes that are committed.”

Who else but psychopaths would steal $9 billion and give it away, then give themselves raises for being criminals? Or steal $1.3 trillion per year and give it away, in exchange for a vote, a campaign contribution, or job later as a lobbyist? Psychopath, as a word and concept, just doesn’t seem to cover it.

Maybe admin can figure out how much the Santa Obama pay raise for parasite government employees and criminal politicians will cost us. Those union parasites already make 60% more than the average schmuck. I’m sure they deserve a fucking raise.

So, I agree with your statements here yet your initial comments seemed as though you would be happy if our country and inhabitants were simply annihilated.

What will you choose to name your new country? Will your new Constitution, Bill of Rights et al read differently?

I like the name of our country and the original Consitution and Bill of Rights work for me if they are followed and not disregarded the way they are today.

After the big BP oil spill a lot of communities actually prospered. The Mississippi gulf coast counties did get oiled but the damage was more than offset by the clean up money that flowed into the local businesses and yes, even tourism was up. A small town like Biloxi or Gulfport suddenly is descended upon by news media from around the world and its a good thing! The boats of opportunity program run by BP was paying fisherman a lot more to drag oil booms around than fishing nets ever paid. Sales tax revenue went up as news media, government officials and clean up crews poured into town and bought stuff. Then there is the $20 billion dollar compensation fund! A beauty salon in St. Petersburg, Florida put in a claim because her business was off that summer and she claims it was because tourists stayed away from St. Pete even though not a single molecule of oil came ashore anywhere near the SW Florida coast. We’ve got lawyers advertising down here to put claims in as the word spreads that BP can’t find enough damage to exhaust the $20 billion dollar fund.

I’m thinking the exact samething is happening around New York. Every municipality there is claiming Sandy was the cause of every funding need they had. Need to buy new school buses. Sandy ruined the old ones. Want to put new plantings around city hall, Sandy destroyed the old landscaping. Fire engines? Sandy rescues wore out the old ones.

Llpoh, I agree with you —things will continue to deteriorate–maybe rapidly, but I surely hope things will not implode as many prognosticators here and there are hoping for.

There are even some present who want a war with someone or an armed civil disturbance so they can plug someone. They have been watching too many action movies where the hero dodges a hail storm of lead. These people think they will be the economic survivors just like they think they can dodge lead. My advise to them is go play paintball with some competent rivals. Then they will know that action movies are fantasy as is their likelihood of survival of a great calamity. “Any fool knows that bravado is always a cover-up for insecurity. Unfortunately my abilities to plan are not enough. Oh well. I suppose I could train up on how to be a hunter/trapper/shit like that, but it isn’t a life I’d be to interested in living, especially because it isn’t compatible with my family. Oh well.

    Novista,
You are right, I do have a “supercilious attitude” toward those who show disdain for my country and for those who would toss it aside.

Sometimes my government is wrong and sometimes it is right but my Country is always Right. Many times, there are citizens of my Country who are not right or even evil but my Country is right and mostly righteous.

Multitudes of men and women have toiled, suffered, fought for and perished to defend my Country, my United States of America, my America. To discard your Country …my Country…without a fight to the death for it would be a travesty.

Your America is still there although somewhat (OK severely) tarnished. To me, it is much easier to remodel and renovate what we have because the abyss is too deep to survive the impact.

BTW: thank you for the kind salutation, I look forward to it.

“Only in discussions of international relations do we automatically understand America to be the same thing as the U.S. government. Thus, when we say that “America entered World War I in 1917,” it is understood that the statement means “U.S. government officials, specifically members of Congress and the president, declared the U.S. government to be at war against the German Empire and its allies in 1917.” And when we say that “America ratified the United Nations Charter in 1945, we mean that “a majority of the members of the U.S. Senate voted in favor of this treaty.”
