San Bernardino Mass Shooter Had Islamic State Ties: “She Pledged Allegiance To The ISIS Leader”

Just moments ago, CNN reported that in a Facebook post, Tashfeen Malik pledged allegiance to ISIS leader Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The posting was apparently made under a different name. Officials have not said how they know it was indeed Malik’s account. From The New York Times:

The woman who helped carry out the shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., on Wednesday had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State in a Facebook posting, according to federal law enforcement officials.

There’s no evidence the group directed the woman, Tashfeen Malik, and her husband Syed Rizwan Farook, to launch the attacks, which killed 14 and wounded 21, said the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation is continuing.

“At this point we believe they were more self-radicalized and inspired by the group than actually told to do the shooting,” one of the officials said.

The posting had been removed from the social media site and it’s not clear when federal authorities obtained it.

In the days leading up to the shooting, the couple took several steps to delete their electronic information, in an apparent effort to cover their tracks, officials said. Those efforts have led authorities to believe that the shooting was premeditated.

PC Schnooks and Bureaucrooks

What does one do, go to or refuse a party after a tragic event such as the recent Paris outrage? My son happens to live next to the Place de la République, where the massacre of innocents by those nice Islamists showing off their manhood took place. He was having dinner with his two little children when the shooting started. Luckily they’re all okay, but I spent a couple of terrible hours trying to get through after the news came over the TV screens. The next evening in New York, at the Metropolitan Museum, the Costume Institute was celebrating “The Art of Style” with a black-tie dinner honoring Jacqueline de Ribes, the international style icon whose dresses are being exhibited at the museum.

I was of two minds, then decency prevailed and the whole thing was called off. It would have been pretty ridiculous. Hundreds of dead and wounded in Paris, and us fat cats dressed to the nines celebrating a Parisian lady who has dressed well for most of her 86 years. Consumerist lust: 0, good sense: 1. It also saved me from a hangover, as I loathe fashion and fashionistas, and alcohol is the only antidote to the dreaded latter.

Just before the massacre of innocents, Curt Schilling, an American sports announcer and analyst, was suspended by ESPN for equating Muhammadans with World War II Nazis. It seems that mass murderers acting on their god’s orders should not be slandered as Nazis, who acted on their führer’s dictates. Go figure! Nor, according to effete hacks of the lefty persuasion, should Donald Trump be closing mosques that preach hate against us, nor should Muslims that do likewise be registered.

FOURTH TURNING – SOCIAL & CULTURAL DISTRESS DIVIDING THE NATION

I wrote the first three parts of this article back in September and planned to finish it in early October, but life intervened and truthfully I don’t think I was ready to confront how bad things will likely get as this Fourth Turning moves into the violent, chaotic war stage just over the horizon. The developments in the Middle East, Europe, U.S., China and across the globe in the last months have confirmed my belief war drums are beating louder, global war beckons, and much bloodshed will be the result. Fourth Turnings proceed at their own pace within the 20 to 25 year crisis framework, but there is one guarantee – they never de-intensify as they progress. Just as Winter gets colder, stormier and more bitter as you proceed from December through February, Fourth Turnings get nastier, grimmer, more perilous, with our way of life hanging in the balance.

In Part 1 of this article I discussed the catalyst spark which ignited this Fourth Turning and the seemingly delayed regeneracy. In Part 2 I pondered possible Grey Champion prophet generation leaders who could arise during the regeneracy. In Part 3 I focused on the economic channel of distress which is likely to be the primary driving force in the next phase of this Crisis. In Part 4 I will assess the social and cultural channels of distress dividing the nation, Part 5 the technological, ecological, political, military channels of distress likely to burst forth with the molten ingredients of this Fourth Turning, and finally in Part 6 our rendezvous with destiny, with potential climaxes to this Winter of our discontent.

The road ahead will be distressful for everyone living in the U.S., as we experience the horrors of war, economic collapse, civil chaos, political upheaval, and the tearing of society’s social fabric. The pain and suffering being experienced across the globe today will not bypass the people of the United States. Winter has arrived and lethal storms are gathering in the distance. Don’t think you can escape. You can prepare, but this Crisis will reshape our society for better or worse, and you cannot sidestep the consequences or cruel environment we must survive.
