Am I crazy, or does it seem like the Crisis in the world is picking up momentum? Fourth Turnings sweep away the old social order. In my view, we’ve entered the vortex. The worst part of the Fourth Turning is rapidly approaching.
World On Fire – Mapping Last Week’s 88 Global Protests
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 02/18/2011 17:31 -0500
Feeling like the entire world is on the verge of a global revolution? It’s understandable. According to the attached interactive map, based on Google News data, in the past week, there have been 88 reported instances of protest somewhere in the world. How much of this is due to snow, and how much is due to Bernanke’s increasingly more genocidal policies (has anyone done a tally of how many people have died in various riots, protests and revolutions since the beginning of the year – perhaps it is time) is unknown and irrelevant. All that matters is to buy (sorry, BTFD no longer works as there just are no Ds anymore).

The merry go round is getting faster
the music louder, more frenzied
wonder when the horses will start to fall off
and the carousel spins into oblivion
Butt fucked by the goobermint at every turn. My ass is protesting.
The Fourth Turning is a novel.
We have a ways to go before the worst part. You will fondly remember 2011 as the Good Old Days.

There’s a theory in 4T circles that each Turning has its own micro-turnings. That is, that a Crisis period will have distinct periods (about 5 years each) of High, Awakening, Unraveling and Crisis. If we assume that 2005 (or thereabouts) was the beginning of the 4T, then we should be entering the Crisis-Awakening right now. That would make sense, if you know what Awakenings generally entail — violence, protest, trying to tear down institutions that no longer work, etc.
Middle East, anti-labor union actions, defunding Fannie/Freddie, MERS collapsing, slashing federal payrolls… Kind of fits the paradigm, no?
Thinker
You know Neil Howe, don’t you? I wonder what he thinks will happen next. Their list of potential triggers and likely sceanrios have been so accurate, I’d love to know what he thinks today.
We are at a Tipping Point on so many fronts – economically, socially, politically. The world moves in faster and faster ways, all it takes is a single spark and the world will burn. That’s what I believe anyway.
We are so freaking doomed.
Just a little ditty (for you Stucky – a little titty) to make your day brighter.
So long sad times
Go long bad times
We are rid of you at last
Howdy gay times
Cloudy gray times
You are now a thing of the past
Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let’s sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again
Altogether shout it now
There’s no one
Who can doubt it now
So let’s tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again
Your cares and troubles are gone
There’ll be no more from now on
From now on …
Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So, Let’s sing a song of cheer again
Happy times
Happy nights
Happy days
Are here again!
Ain’t it just grand! I wrote a check the other day at the grocery store and it burst into flame as I tried to give it to the checkout clerk (ooops! associate).
Hope@ZeroKelvin – We are not doomed, those who are unprepared and unaware are doomed.
RE – You’ve got that right. When the checks stop coming and Mexico invades then…
Those who listen to the ramblings of some blowhard on the internet deserve whats coming to them – Having said that, for those who can, New Zealand is a good bolthole to ride out the “reset” that’s coming.
I noticed there are no protests in Australia. Pussies.
Nice ditty, Muck. But I prefer All In The Family … we need Herbert Hoover again!!
No.
With the internet its reversing.
History will reverse and kings and dictators and lies will fall ruining the past lies
I stomp on the past
To free your ass

I apologize for not responding to your email. I was swamped at work this week.
I’m protected. I stole three large pieces of redrock from Sedona AZ and brought them back to SC and set up my own vortex in the backyard.
What startled me was reading recently in the book “The Fourth Turning could start with something as insignificant as…..en election or a Tea Party.” In the 1990’s, this was written!
