YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHING YET – PART ONE

“Human history seems logical in afterthought but a mystery in forethought. Writers of history have a way of describing interwar societies as coursing from postwar to prewar as though people alive at the time knew when that transition occurred.”Strauss & Howe The Fourth Turning

Watching pompous politicians, egotistical economists, arrogant investment geniuses, clueless media pundits, and self- proclaimed experts on the Great Depression predict an economic recovery and a return to normalcy would be amusing if it wasn’t so pathetic. Their lack of historical perspective does a huge disservice to the American people, as their failure to grasp the cyclical nature of history results in a broad misunderstanding of the Crisis the country is facing. The ruling class and opinion leaders are dominated by linear thinkers that believe the world progresses in a straight line. Despite all evidence of history clearly moving through cycles that repeat every eighty to one hundred years (a long human life), the present generations are always surprised by these turnings in history. I can guarantee you this country will not truly experience an economic recovery or progress for another fifteen to twenty years. If you think the last four years have been bad, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Hope is not an option. There is too much debt, too little cash-flow, too many promises, too many lies, too little common sense, too much mass delusion, too much corruption, too little trust, too much hate, too many weapons in the hands of too many crazies, and too few visionary leaders to not create an epic worldwide implosion. Too bad. We’ve experienced horrific Crisis periods three times in the last 250 years and winter has arrived again exactly as forecasted by Strauss & Howe in 1997. The linear thinkers will continue to predict a recovery that never arrives. We have awful trials and tribulations, dreadful sacrifices of blood and treasure, and grim choices awaiting our country over the next fifteen years. Linear thinkers will scoff at such a statement as they irrationally view the world as a never ending forward progression towards a glorious future. History proves them wrong. We stand here in the year 2012 with no good options, only less worse options. Decades of foolishness, debt accumulation, and a materialistic feeding frenzy of delusion have left the world broke and out of options. And still our leaders accelerate the debt accumulation, while encouraging the masses to carry-on as if nothing has changed since 2008. Sadly, millions of lemmings want to believe they will not drown in the sea of un-payable commitments. Truth is a scarce resource on the planet today.

“Sometimes people don’t want to hear the truth because they don’t want their illusions destroyed.” –  Friedrich Nietzsche

Entire populations taking comfort in their illusions transcends centuries. This is because all humans are driven by their emotions and react to events and danger in a predictable manner depending on their stage of life. Strauss & Howe in their 1997 opus – The Fourth Turning – utilized decades of studying generational dynamics to anticipate when our next Crisis would arrive and what core elements would precipitate it:

“The next Fourth Turning is due to begin shortly after the new millennium, midway through the Oh-Oh decade. Around the year 2005, a sudden spark will catalyze a Crisis mood. Remnants of the old social order will disintegrate. Political and economic trust will implode. Real hardship will beset the land, with severe distress that could involve questions of class, race, nation and empire. The very survival of the nation will feel at stake. Sometime before the year 2025, America will pass through a great gate in history, commensurate with the American Revolution, Civil War, and twin emergencies of the Great Depression and World War II.”Strauss & Howe The Fourth Turning

The American people are mentally ensnared by their decades of indoctrination from propagandists in government and on Wall Street, spoon fed to them by the corporate mainstream media. Many are afflicted with the diseases of normalcy bias and cognitive dissonance.  Normalcy bias refers to a mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. The American people are mentally incapable of accepting the facts of our impending economic collapse. They somehow are able to convince themselves these facts as normal:

  • We’ve increased our national debt by $5.6 trillion in the last three and a half years. It took from 1789 until 2000, two hundred and eleven years, to accumulate the first $5.6 trillion of debt.
  • Our average annual deficit from 2000 through 2008 was $190 billion. Our average annual deficits since 2008 have been $1.3 trillion. Our deficits never exceeded 4% of GDP prior to 2008, but now they exceed 9%.
  • The national debt will reach $20 trillion by 2015 and if interest rates normalized to the same level they were in 2007 (5%), annual interest expense would be $1 trillion, or 45% of current tax revenue.
  • There are 242 million working age Americans and 100 million of them are not working. But don’t concern yourself. The Federal government reports that only 13 million of these people are actually unemployed. The other 87 million are just kicking back and living off their accumulated riches.
  • The economic recovery has been so great that the 7.5 million people added to the Food Stamp rolls since the recession officially ended in December 2009 isn’t really an indication of severe stress among the 99%. Only 46.5 million Americans (15% of the population) need food stamps to survive.
  • The unfunded liabilities of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security exceed $100 trillion and cannot possibly be honored, leaving future generations to fend for themselves.

  • Our leaders have fought two undeclared wars of choice since 2001 that have resulted in 6,400 unnecessary soldier deaths, 47,500 badly wounded, $1.3 trillion of borrowed treasure, with unfunded liabilities of at least $2 trillion more, and we are itching for more of the same with our coming war with Iran. A bankrupt empire still trying to police the world is the ultimate act of hubris.
  • After causing a worldwide financial collapse in 2008 with their extreme risk taking, tangibly fraudulent mortgage schemes, and reckless pillaging of their clients and the American people, Wall Street used their complete systematic capture of our political and economic system to shift $8 trillion of toxic debt from their books onto the backs of American taxpayers. They have since become even more flagrant in their disregard for human decency by using the hundreds of billions in free money funneled to them by Ben Bernanke to take even bigger risks and pay themselves grander bonuses. Total unregulated derivatives (real WMD) outstanding now exceed $700 trillion.
  • Since 2001 the Federal government has used fear to assume unprecedented and unconstitutional powers over the citizens of this country. They can now use surveillance to monitor your phones calls, emails, and websites visited, without warrants. You can be imprisoned without charges for as long as the government decides you are a threat. TSA agents molest little old ladies and children trying to fly on airplanes. The President can take over the entire economy through presidential decree. Predator spy drones can eliminate suspected terrorists whenever a general gives the command. An order for 30,000 spy drones to be flying over U.S. cities should make you feel safe. The $2 billion NSA Utah Data Gathering Center (code name Stellar Wind) will be able to intercept and store every electronic signal on the planet by 2013. Sacrificing liberty for perceived safety and security isn’t working out too well for the American people.

Anyone with an ounce of critical thinking skill would conclude our current situation is far from normal. We’ve become a cognitive dissonant nation. We convince ourselves the best way to solve a debt problem is to create more debt. We believe we are made safer by attacking foreign countries. We have convinced ourselves it makes sense for Too Big to Fail Wall Street banks that create systematic financial risk to get even bigger, after their fraudulent frenzy of greed virtually crashed our economic system. We actually believe the two party political system offers us a choice, when both parties genuflect to Wall Street, gratify corporate special interests, fight never ending wars, and spend money they don’t have.  We choose to believe government statistics that claim inflation is running at 3%, when our everyday reality attests it to be 10%. We trust the Federal Reserve to maintain price stability even though their policies have resulted in a 97% depreciation in the U.S. dollar since 1913. We believe the future will be bright, even though 60% of workers have less than $25,000 in total savings.

In the ultimate example of cognitive dissonance the majority of Americans scorned and ridiculed the young people being beaten, maced and arrested for protesting the rampant criminality of the Wall Street 1%ers while supporting a billionaire banker bailout, 0% interest rates that punish senior citizens and savers while encouraging further debt accumulation, and not be outraged that not one criminal banker has gone to jail. They somehow are able to observe the data in the table below and still believe that America offers equal opportunity to everyone.

Americans have thus far been unable to deal with the reality of our desperate circumstances. They remind me of people who see the ocean recede from the shoreline and curiously venture out where the sea had flowed to pick up trinkets and pretty shells with no sense of what is truly happening. The deadly 20 foot high tsunami headed their way will be a complete shock when they are swept away in a torrent of bad debt and worthless currencies.  We are about to enter phase two of this Fourth Turning Crisis still in denial and terribly unprepared for the frightful trials that await our nation. It’s not as if it hasn’t happened before, just like clockwork. William Strauss and Neil Howe were able to document turnings in Anglo-American history dating back to the 15th century. The life cycles of human beings and the moods of generations at different stages of their lives are consistent across time, resulting in predictable responses to events during a particular time frame. Fourth Turnings are a time of Crisis, danger and vulnerability. The Crisis periods in modern history are as follows:

  • War of the Roses (1459 – 1487), Late Medieval Saeculum
  • Armada Crisis (1569 – 1594), Reformation Saeculum
  • Glorious Revolution (1675 – 1704), New World Saeculum
  • American Revolution (1773 – 1794), Revolutionary Saeculum
  • Civil War (1860 – 1865), Civil War Saeculum
  • Great Depression & World War II (1929 – 1946), Great Power Saeculum
  • Millenial Crisis (2008 – ????), Millenial Saeculum

Using a seasonal analogy, the Crisis is the wintry bitter dark era, where deadly blizzards rage and the citizens are pushed to the brink. In retrospect the three previous American Crisis periods seem easy to predict, but one year prior to their onset NO ONE could have predicted the epic sacrifices and horrific casualties of war to follow. In 1772 there were few people expecting America to declare independence and fight an eight year war for independence. In 1859 virtually no one expected the election of Abraham Lincoln as president and an ensuing war that would kill 700,000 American men. In 1928 no one imagined the stock market losing 89% of its value, an eleven year depression, and a world war resulting in over 60 million deaths. History is only logical in afterthought. The mystery of forethought is where we find ourselves today.

In a recent article, Neil Howe provided insight into why he believes the current Fourth Turning began in 2008, sixty-two years since the end of the Depression/WWII Crisis, which was sixty-four years after the Civil War Crisis, which was sixty-six years after the American Revolution Crisis:

“I believe the catalyst occurred in 2008. The year 2008 marked the onset of the most serious U.S. economic crisis since the Great Depression. It also marked the election of Barack Obama, which could yet turn out to be a pivotal realignment date in U.S. political history. In fact, if I had to give the catalyst a month, I would say September of 2008. The global Dow was in free fall. Banks were failing. Money markets froze shut. Business owners held their breath.” – Neil Howe – Dating the Fourth Turning

Howe uses the term catalyst to describe the trigger or event that initiates the Crisis. Strauss and Howe determined that a Crisis progresses through four stages during its life cycle, as described below:

  • A Crisis era begins with a catalyst – a startling event (or sequence of events) that produces a sudden shift in mood.
  • Once catalyzed, a society achieves a regeneracy – a new counter-entropy that reunifies and reenergizes civic life.
  • The regenerated society propels toward a climax – a crucial moment that confirms the death of the old order and birth of the new.
  • The climax culminates in a resolution – a triumphant or tragic conclusion that separates the winners from losers, resolves the big public questions, and establishes the new order.

We have countless valleys to cross and mountains to ascend before reaching our ultimate destination. There are no guarantees the outcomes will be positive or that the nation as we know it will even exist. It is certain that in twenty years the social order of this country will not resemble what exists today. The transformation could be positive or negative, depending upon whether we make the right choices during this Crisis.

“The nation could be ruined, its democracy destroyed, and millions of people scattered or killed. Or America could enter a new golden age, triumphantly applying shared values to improve the human condition. The rhythms of history do not reveal the outcome of the coming Crisis; all they suggest is the timing and dimension.”  Strauss & Howe The Fourth Turning

You know the chapter on preparing for the 4th Turning? Towards the end where S&H list things that will soften the pain of transformation?

Our society has done little if any of them.

It’s going to suck for years to come, undoubtedly.

I await the rest of the parts…. especially your take on Regeneracy…. because if things keep going down this path, what’s going to rise from the proverbial rubble will be sinister, powerfull and unstopable in its newfound arena of activity.

Doom may be preferable…. but don’t count on it.

I think it’s all crap. We had numerous financial crises in our history. The only reason we had a Great Depression is because of the harm that FDR did to the economy. His policies made the Great Depression worse and longer lasting.

We also had a war of independence. A lot of countries have that. Nothing special.

Let me help you a bit Ling Sung

Herbert Clark Hoover (August 10, 1874 – October 20, 1964) was the 31st President of the United States (1929–33) -wiki

Now the great depression began in what year?

In the 21st century, the Great Depression is commonly used as an example of how far the world’s economy can decline.[2] The depression originated in the U.S., starting with the fall in stock prices that began around September 4, 1929 -wiki

So how, Sun Ling, did FDR cause the great depression when he wasnt yet in office?

I am a late GenX (born 79). Voted Al Gore in Wisc in ’00. I was an Obama volunteer in LA, Cali in 2008. I guess I was kinda into “blogging” back then, I was reading dailykos on a daily basis back then.

Somehow back in ’08 I stumbled into marketoracle.co.uk, started featuring some of these “Austrian Economic” viewpoints. Without even knowing what a “doomer” was, I was convinced the US Dollar would collapse by the spring of 09.

I can credit TBP a fair amount for opening my eyes, but I have to give a ton of credit to Lauren @ Capital Account. Been a religious follower of Capital Account for perhaps 6 months now? Between the two I have found my way to Ron Paul. While Capital Account is Economic slanted, and not Political, she gives RP a fair shake (as does most of the non-MSM).

Cant wait! Cant sleep! 4h from now and I can vote for Ron Paul in the Wisconsin primary! (Thinking about showing up early and being a “poll observer”)

Very interesting times. I have seen the country go from the greatest generation to the worst generation. People seem to be on the go all the time and not just staying home to chill while the fuel
prices continue to spike. Ya think if the masses just stayed home instead of going all the time the fuel prices might just drop. Everything is about the money! Everything is about me me me and not their neighbor! We live in the land of the fee not free.
I hate to tell you all, that we will soon see the start of WW3, to further the destruction of this nation by the usurpers. Why not? The water is contaminated even in the highest mountain streams. The soil has long lost any nutrients. The oceans are dead in thousands of sq. miles all over the planet. The Pacific Ocean is polluted with radiation as well as most of the fish that live in it. North America is polluted with radiation from Japan as well as most of Europe. Most every person or animal that breathes air is contaminated with radiation. There is no cure for one small particle of radiation that can enter the body through breathing or the food you eat. Everyone and everything on the planet is contaminated. Think anyone in the U.S. military is getting the treatment they deserve. Check out what depleted uranium does when used as an explosive. It is all over the Middle East. Do you wonder what Gulf War syndrome is (yah, breathing depleted uranium in the form of dust particles from explosive DU. Check it all out for yourselves. I encourage you!

Most of us see change taking place and that is true. It is not if but when things will get worse. Yes worse!
YOU WHO HAVE WISDOM WILL NOW SEE THE TRUTH OF WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN.

Some of you may beleive it and some will not. Those of you who do not beleive or are in denial will suffer the most. It does matter to me what you beleive as I do not want any to suffer. How many of you had a belief in something and found later that that belief was not true. Think about it. How do you know you are right in a belief? Think about that. Can you quantify your belief? Think and see!

Did you know that thousands of years ago it was written or prophesied that the people born or living when Israel became a nation again(1948) (dispersed in 70 AD) that that generation would not pass (die) before the Lord Jesus came for his people ( He does not mean that no one would die during this time but a majority would not die). Did you know that Jesus said that in the last days that the Love for self would increase and that love for his neighbor (any human being) would decrease. (You see this daily if you have eyes) Did you know that Jesus said that in the last days that there would be an increase of natural disasters. (Tornadoes have increased as well as earthquakes since the early 1990s). Did you know that in the last days Jesus spoke of incurable disease and famines around the planet? Did you know that Jesus spoke of wars and rumours of war in the last days?

We are entering an age of tremendous change. Where will you spend eternity? Eternity means forever! As Robert Duval said in one of his westerns. “We live between the eternities”. Well, eternity
is almost here! There are not years to wait to see who is right or wrong here, there is just the present
and maybe the present of tomorrow or the next day etc. However, I see WW3 around the corner once the U.S. attacks Iran. Russia and China have both stated that they would be allies in the 3rd
world war. Both Russia and China have interests in Iran. Both have told the U.S. to back off Iran.

World War is inevitable! Look for it when this countries economy collapses or soon after. Probably to take peoples mind off the collapsed economy. As the Roman Empire collapsed so goes the United States….only in a shorter period of time. If you are still with me BEWARE THE MARK OF THE BEAST! I beleive most people that are saved by GOD will be gone by that time (Before WW3 begins) However, those that have knowledge of the Word of God and are not saved will have a second chance by GODS love, grace and mercy. God will save all those that have NOT taken the mark of the beast in their hand or forehead which will be put upon all who would want to buy or sell anything! There is just one more thing you must do to be saved… That is to believe that Jesus is the Son of the living God!
I wish you all the best for you and your families in these trying times. Be strong, be prepared and protect your families and friends as Jesus said. May God bless you all and open your eyes and ears to his truth.

Oh! Almost forgot, if you do not believe the above, google the Bible that is a searchable version
and search what I have written. I encourage you to do so as it is simple.

Ah ingasun, you’re a blast from the past. I spent many years of my life listening to my grandmother (b. 1892) and my two great aunts whinging about the dastardly evils of the devil FDR, right up into the 1970’s. They never stopped. Time was on hiatus for them, 1933 continued on for another forty+ years.

I had forgotten those rantings till you reminded me. Great ladies they were, from another age and era. I loved them dearly and no one hated FDR more than they did

Thanks for the memories.

Correct, you haven’t seen anything yet, that is why your assumption of the cyclic timeline to recover from this is incorrect. It is now obvious the advent of the internet has linked billions of humans in a way never before imagined. With that dynamic operating to increase awareness of our miserable condition, the good news is that it will vastly shorten the time to correct it.

Example; Google this;

CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK

Or go the the following link;

http:www.zerohedge.com/print/365866

Apply the solution now and you will destroy the cyclic model you predict.

And yes, you haven’t seen anything yet, unless you’ve seen this.

Where is the inference made that the dynamic of the internet surpasses the discovery oil?

What is stated is that the dynamic of the internet and the collective impact of that medium will defeat your prediction regardless of any historic modeling. The example given is a causal action when acted upon by an an awakened nation and will demonstrate the never before power of the internet that will in fact, define the century.

To watch for your cycle to spin, assumes that there is nothing to do about the condition but read what happened yesterday and wait.

I’ve been researching world history and economic history for a half century.
Most of your facts are OK, but the real cycle to watch is the 1500-1700 cultural cycle.
There have been two previously, the first began around 1200 B.C. and lasted about 500 years, while the second began around 400 A.D. and lasted until the sixteenth century. We are now about a century into the third. Question: why did the second one last so long. Religious extremism and an anti-intellectual point of view were so ingrained in the life of that time that there was no way for a real reformation to take place. Part of this can be attributed to the Black Death which so diminished the labor pool that it became impossible to victimize working people the way the rulers had done. We now have that religious fanaticism now trying to gain political power so that they can destroy the intellectual underpinnings of our society upon which our whole way of life depends. They hate science, because they consider it at odds with their religion.
The characteristics of a middle age period are a collapse of all governments down to the local level, unusually large immigration patterns which either precede or accompany the governmental collapses, loss of technology, loss of literacy, general impoverishment of ordinary people down to the subsistence level with usual enslavement of most of the population, and many gratuitous wars which accomplish nothing except to further impoverish te nations fighting those wars.
Now look at the past century. The empires of Spain, The Ottomans, Austria, Germany (twice), Japan, France, Portugal, Belgium, Britain and the Soviets. The only empires left are the U.S., India, and China. Every nation in the world is now basing their currency on the U.S. dollar which is now being inflated into oblivion, so that when the dollar collapses, it will take with it every currency in the world. When the world economy goes there will be general collapse, because the economy is the backbone of any society.
Right now there is nothing you can do except prepare for it. Acquire gold and silver coins which are real money, try to grow as much of your food as possible or at least buy locally, get rid of your debt so that you are less vulnerable when the defecation does contact the air conditioner. If you judiciously acquire your gold and silver coins now while they are still relatively cheap, you will have a definite advantage.
The electric grid is the most vulnerable, because much of it dates back to the depression, and I have been seeing more power outages due to old and outdated equipment.
By the way, after the collapse of Rome, it was followed by Persia, The Gupta Empire of India, China and the Arab World, which were a cultural leader for several centuries. China has only begun to emerge during the post-Mao years, and the Arab countries are just beginning to emerge.
One empire notably lacking from this list is that of the Byzantines. When they saw what was happening, they returned to the gold standard, and in spite of the other corruption in the society, this government persisted until 1453, when it was conquered by the Turks.
Should you become depressed and withdrawn? No. Should you make preparations? Definitely!!! Life is to be enjoyed, but spend a certain amount of time in preparation. It shouldn’t require much. It is best to enjoy your life, but be aware of the unfolding future.
One strategy that may help is to limit all politicians to one term in office. Our founding fathers never intended there to be professional politicians, and we should bee sure that our political system is not dominated by lawyers. Our government should consist of a broad representation of our society, and the power of bureaucrats should be restricted. Remember that government is the employer of last resort, and most bureaucrats are less well-educated than the norm, and the upper echelons are mostly occupied by out-of-work politicians, Goldman-Sacks executives, and Harvard professors, none of which are particularly good choices.

Douglas Rushkoff has an idea about a period in the early middle ages that was the peak of humankind. From then on, it was a slow slide down with the seeds of corporatism sown in the Medici period.

Just asking, have you read “Generations”, The “Fourth Turning”, or “Millennials Rising”? Aside from general interpretations of the classical era, the earliest generational theory I’ve found was 1801. A good year that, Bastiat was born.

WOW – what a write up. The long run cycles we tend to ignore. The facts we don’t talk about. I came across an author Jonathan Cahn who wrote The Harbinger. A religious viewpoint on the coming problems. If you can catch him speaking on a religious station he can give the highlights in ten minutes whereas the book is a bit long and verbose in nature.

We have not learned from history. Empty promises bankrupted General Motors 25 years ago when they took the accounting charges for the retirement benefits. I was starting college and my education in accounting and economics at the time. It took 25 years for the cash flow to catch up with them. Of course the rule of law went out the windows for their bankruptcy. Just as the basis of trust accounts at MF Global. What other rule of law will go out the window. Oh I know – how about a health care mandate that is the most blatant denial of basic constitutional law. The future is very grave

How can a nation stand when it is corrupt from the highest level of federal gov. to the lowest in each state and city gov.? How can a nation stand when corporations are given better treatment than its people. How can a nation stand when it has more debt than it can ever pay off? How can a nation stand when the moral fiber that strengthened it is gone? How does a nation stand when their
are so many liars and thieves?
Few know the true history of the U.S. You have to search high and low to find the hidden works of this nation. It is nothing to be proud of. How do you like the medical cartel? Big pharmiceutical companies paying the FDA off to put manmade chemical drugs into your bodies. Think doctors care for you? In 2 polls 95-98% were in medicine for the money only. Most doctors are educated pill pushers and never cure anything. How do you think they build their practice. Why do you think they say that “they practice medicine”? Just pill pushers! Did you know that there are caring doctors that
have stated there were cures for every disease known to man since the 40s. Have you ever looked into natural cures that actually cure people of disease? Most doctors are fair for putting casts on broken limbs and stiching a cut. Do the research and learn for yourselves. Oh! and do you realize how dangerous most pharmiceutical pills are? They do more damage than good and many cause
death in a short period of time. Ther are the drugs that slowly kill you over time too. Think blood pressure medication for one. Dont ask your doctor though because he is trained to say they are
safe. There is so much about keeping healthy most doctors do not know. Mainstream medicine is
making a fortune off your suffering. Take a pill for this. Then take a pill for the side effect that the first pill gave you till you are taking 15 pills a day. Just more doctor visit$ and feeling miserable
and no cure!
I could go on and on about the lies and theives that overwhelm the country. They will steal you blind with a smile and you will smile back and pop out that credit card for them. I suppose ignorance
is bliss but it can also be costly to you when you have no idea how things work such as your car or
stovetop, computer etc.
One of the biggest problems is most everyone wants this item or that toy thinking it will fulfill their
lives. Isnt it great for awhile after you first get it? Of course that great feeling leaves you after a short period of time and you get bored with it so you want something else. What is up with that cycle?

Everything is want want want and me me me! Why dont you try giving of your time and money to others? Ever try it? You will have much more content, that will be a lasting WOW feeling for life!
Im not talking about giving to your favorite charity. I am talking of giving to someone personally. A
1-1 interaction. Try to give some strangers life a magical day! An elderly person that can not afford
something. An orphan that has no one but the orphanage. Give them something they could never have if it was not for YOU! Be kind to everyone, be courteous, be all that you are and get rid of ego.
You do not need the latest and greatest thing. Its a want and contrary to what you believe will make you happy. Get rid of all ego and be more than ego. Dwell on the good in your mind. If someone
does something that offends you (actually it hurts your pride or feelings) be kind to them and walk off. If you live it you will be it and in reality you will manifest all that you desire with that mind set. It just takes determination to get rid of ego. The stress of life will just melt away with that mindset and
it has been proven scientifically. It takes a strong devoted person to do this as it is hard to be humble when you are angry etc. Negative emotions from you, bring negative things into your life.
Positive emotions from you bring positive things into your life. You will actually manifest the things you desire in incredible ways IF you can maintain that mind set always.
Most people sadly can not think that way. Too much ego! It takes strength of the mind which most people can not obtain or want or are too lazy. Without a strong mind it is; me me me always and no real true happiness.
IF, you succeed at this, you will be a master of all the good things in life. All big events that effect your life that are negative will become speedbumps in your future and not the mountains that they normally are.
If everyone would practice and live this truth the world would not be in the situation it is in now.
Quantum physics has laws that will blow your mind once you know what they are and how we are connected by these laws. Did you know that of the trillions of cells in your body each cell communicates to all the other cells of your body. Did you know that each cell uses 5-10% of itself
to comunicate to other cells and that the other 90-95% communicates with the universe, infinite
knowledge, God?

Best wishes everyone!

The interesting thing about the corruption being discussed in the article is that it has always been present on the planet. You can go to any point in history and find the same issues cropping up. The only way out is to become “conscious” and to elect those who are also consciously aware of the truth, the greatest of which is the law of karma or “do unto others.” For example, let’s ask “Would we want an enormous mound of debt to be left for us to pay?” before we increase the national debt. Do unto others…

Oswald Spengler was the first guy I ever read who detailed the cyclical nature of history . Meaty

stuff ! About the Great Depression …. I read somewhere[?] that an Austrian bank failure was the

push for the domino chain . Enjoyed most of the comments here . On humanity — not too difficult to

appreciate individuals ……..but the aggregate is a headache for sure .

First off, I would like to say I DO NOT AGREE with the OWS movement. That is because of the way they are handling themselves. Rapes, assaults, etc. This is not the way to take the “High Ground”, which is EXACTLY what needs to be done by the Citizenry of The United States of America. It is true, we have been handed a BULLSH1T hand by Bush, Obama and The Fed…Heck, our entire government, except Ron Paul. The People of The United States DO need to stand up now, or kneel forever. However, we must act accordingly. If we are not willing to do what is right, then we are also part of the problem. It is not just about “me, me, me” it is about “We, we, we”! The entire Green Initiative is also BULLSH1T, because it has been hijacked by the Socialist Liberal Progressives. They are using the idea of being “Green” to fund their crooked friends and are telling us it’s in our best interest. PROVE IT! What has actually helped The People with their Green Initiative? Has anyone’s power bill been lowered? Have gasoline prices been lowered, due to less consumption? Have electric cars done ANYTHING positive for the Earth? What is being burned to give them the electricity they need to run…coal? Have we stopped dumping into the 5 gigantic oceanic gyers, or are they continuing to grow exponentially? Last I heard, they were so large they could not be cleaned up, it was impossible! What about the BP oil spill? Somehow that was magically cleaned and everything is OK? What about the Fukushima nuclear disaster? That was also magically cleaned up and nothing happened there either?

If OWS is to be taken as a TRUE MOVEMENT they need to act responsibly and probably get involved with the Tea Party. There is no reason the 2 should not come together, as their main ends are the same. Political party should not be the defining characteristic here, it should be ideology – and RESULTS!

I agree, we need to be militant to have our needs met. But the enemy is the Fed Govt, not other U.S. citizens and random small businesses. Small business is what we NEED in America now, they are us, we are them, they ARE America. The People NEED to realize, there is no political party we should align ourselves with, no matter what you think – they do not care about YOU!

Get to know your neighbor, have the conversation that is difficult to have. Talk about religion. Talk about politics. Talk about the future of America. Make your voice heard. WE THE PEOPLE NEED TO BE HEARD, and if they (The Feds) will not listen, WE WILL MAKE THEM LISTEN. This is OUR country, THEY are the stewards of OUR country. They are to help us maintain it, help us make it better, help us help others. If they deviate from that idea, THEY ARE TO BE REMOVED, by any means necessary! The government should fear it’s people, The People should NEVER fear it’s government!

@ Capt. America

I gave you a thumbs down but agreed with alot of what you had to say. The thumbs down was for your perception of what has transpired with OWS. I believe that the true Tea Party, not the hijacked discredited Tea Party express movement, and OWS can and should come together on the major issues like economic justice and reforms…but what I see with OWS vs. many Tea Partiers is that the Tea Partiers truly believe they can make positive changes from within the current social structure while many of the OWS understand that the system is rigged in favor of the status quo and NO TRUE POSITIVE CHANGE can happen simply by VOTING. The influence of money within the political system is too powerful a force preventing any real change for the betterment of the 99%.

I agree with you that we need to get to know our neighbors and local small business owners…but TPTB realize this too and are positioning themselves via the FED govt and its enforcement powers to crack down on “food co-ops” and the likes. CENTRALIZATION is the game…and we are almost at the END GAME! Unfortunately, liberty and privacy lose in the end.

kind of a simplistic argument basis, made at the risk of throwing out your father’s and grandfather’s wisdom about linear history. History cannot be cyclical, but it can have cycles. It is always linear in that we have come from the beginning and are moving toward the end. There IS an end. And it is not good. Man has failed every economy that he has been given by God. He is failing this one; the economy of GRACE through faith.

BOTH.

Which convention should Tea Partiers…. un co-opted…. be protesting?

BOTH.

For supposed lovers of liberty, you sure put a lot of faith in concessions. Think about that for a moment. Are you seeking concessions or freedom?
