THOSE “SOFT” MILLENIALS

The Millenial Generation is between the ages of 7 years old and 30 years old today. There are approximately 87 million of them and 60 million of them are still under 21 years old. I find it hysterical that old codgers that have been responsible for leaving this country in such a shambles have the balls to scorn and ridicule this generation before they have even started their adult lives. Actually I find it disgusting and revolting. But I expect nothing less from the Shallowest, Greediest Generation. I’m sure I’ll get the usual response about Millenials being soft, playing X-box, and not amounting to a hill of beans.

Well, it seems there are about 30 million Millenials between the ages of 18 and 30. That happens to be the prime cannon fodder age. Here is what the “soft” millenials have done over the last ten years or so:

  • 6431 American soldiers have died in Iraq and Afghanistan.
  • Approximately 4,000 of these soldiers were Millenials.
  • 47,545 American soldiers have been badly wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.
  • Approximately 30,000 of these soldiers are Millenials.

It seems that these soft Millenials are doing the majority of fighting and dying for this country. Not too many Boomers in the casualty counts. But, they do seem to have created the brilliant strategy that has resulted in the Millenial casualties.

Below are pictures of some of our fallen heroes. It is just one page of soldiers that have died for you. I suggest you visit this website:

http://apps.washingtonpost.com/national/fallen/

You can go through the 96 pages of pictures. And the next time you think about ridiculing, scorning or bad mouthing the Millenial generation, remember that more than 60% of these heroes are from that generation. Have a nice day.

Volunteering and dying in a war over resources billed as a war on terror makes one a hero?

How about the war on collegiate sports being waged by the millennial heroes ?

Who’s winning that one?

Way back in time, when I was 19 or so, I was sitting off the coast of Lebanon while US citizens were being evacuated therefrom. The surface search radar (SG-6 for you other old timers) croaked and I had to climb the mast behind the bridge to replace a cracked feedhorn.

Beautiful day – blue skies and you could see forever. We were about a half mile off shore giving cover to a number of smaller vessels shuttling people from shore out to a 6th fleet tender who would be charged with taking them all to Greece or Italy or somewhere West of where they were.

I remember distinctly how it felt to be a big target just out of range. When a .303 round hits a metal mast 3 feet above your head it makes a really distinctive noise. When one whips past (on the downside of an arc) it “pops” , hitting the 3″ gun shielding below us and whines off like a pig in agony.

My Chief ET who was helping me (an ex-fleet boxer and one tough cookie) stopped in mid-bullet “whine” and screamed at the top of his voice, “Where in Godallmighty HELL are the stinking politicians who put us here?”

The Captain, who was standing outside the bridge (figures, right) on a bridge-wing looked up at us (we were 35 feet over the Captain’s head) and called out, “Steady Chief!, None of the sonsabitches would know how to shoot back if they were here!”. At which point the 01 deck 5-38 let go both barrels at a shore target and ended all possibility of conversation until our ears stopped ringing.

I remember thinking about that and concluded by age 20 that we should regress far enough so that the politicians who send our guys into combat should lead the parade – like Lord Wellington at Waterloo, for example.

When I see all those faces of all those young men who will never participate in the joys and agonies of life, it’s enough to break an old heart.

Like I said, I don’t hate minnies.I’m simply pointing out that that generational bullshit masquerading as theory is just that. Humanity is what i , with all the good and the bad intermingled. People are either of good character or bad.
There is no hero generation coming to save anyone.

The greatest generations’ fathers failed to protect them form the MIC war war machine as did the greatest fail to protect the boomers form the nmeat grinder that was Vietnam and now the boomers are doing the same to their kids with the phony war on terror.
I
Satan’s goal is to divide and conquer whether by class, race ,gender or generation .The plan is the same. Contempt breed hate and hate manifests itself in murder, which Satan love to shove in God’s face.
Satan’s goal is to prove once and for all time to God that humans are not worthy his saving grace and this generational bullshit of pitting sons against fathers is but one more tool in Moloch’s arsenal.
Satan brought the world to the brink of global collapse by decades of exploiting the wicked nature of all humanity.
No generation has a lock on evil…it just is.

Believe it.

Ignorance of why the war is happening is the real tragedy. These kids have been sent off to fight and die without a clear understanding of “why” they are in theater. The cover story is “the war on terror” which was supported with absurdly brilliant commentary such as “they hate us for our freedoms.” Sadly, most of the country swallowed the propaganda hook, line and sinker and off the country marched to war. The information that was never widely disseminated and most likely never will be was that the US taxpayers have spent the last ten years footing the bill for a distribution and transportation network throughout central Asia and American kids have been fighting and dying to protect the interests of foreign countries.

Called the “Northern Distribution Network,” http://csis.org/publication/northern-distribution-network-and-afghanistan, it is a massive construction project establishing rail, highway and pipeline connections to China, eventually to connect to the Persian Gulf and Europe. Why is this critical? Afghanistan has vast natural resources with no means to extract said minerals. Transportation systems are crucial if you want to move the resources out of the country, and I think you can put 2+2 together from here. China has won the large mineral concessions such as Aynak and US troops are the boots on the ground protecting the Chinese interests. Chinese troops are not present.

They may not be soft but they are ignorant.

As a Boomer myself, I could not agree more. We are leaving a mess for the Millenials.

Our only defense is up until talk radio and the internet (early 1990s) we only knew what the MSM reported. We had no clue just how corrupt the government/wall street/FED complex really was or how much information was filtered to only present one side to the picture.

It was only after then many of us went Libertarian because we realized their is no difference between the Rs and the Ds.

My hope for the Millenials is they not get snookered by either party and start a third party to correct 100+ years of screwing up the great Republic we once had. I also think it will only happen after some form of revolution/civil unrest that shakes our society to its core.

However, many agree with Dr. Paul and are totally opposed to this bullshit. The Great Dick Nixon Sell-Out

American’s thirst for cheaper prices and corporate dodging of EPA standards and drive to reduce soaring labor costs has finally done in the American economy.

This is the most negligent act, bordering high treason of an American President.

Nixon and his cabinet threw America under the bus long ago by opening relations with China prematurely.

Not one penny should have ever wound up in a Chinese bank while the Chinese government was in the hands of a oppressive Communist government.

It was a forecast as early as 1962 by Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev
Никита Сергеевич Хрущёв

In which he told of the decline of American democracy and mentioned they would do it from with-in without a single shot being fired.

Now we stand a nation divided by partisan party politics and everyone polarized as much as corporate sponsored media will have it, so the corporations can continue to plunder unfettered and the ultra-rich from every country can skip to and fro as they please and enrich themselves beyond our wildest imagination and drive the high wage standard American work force to its knees as it’s elected shepherds are puppeted by corporate dictators who don’t know any borders or are loyal to any flag other than the leading currency in the global market, China.

Some quotes from the film Gettysburg from the Irish sergeant Buster Kilrain. While he was speaking about race with Col. Chamberlain, they apply I think to the generational debate as well:

“Any man who judges by the group is a pea-wit. You take men one at a time.”

” The truth is, Colonel… There is no “divine spark”. There’s many a man alive no more of value than a dead dog. Believe me. When you’ve seen them hang each other the way I have back in the Old Country. Equality? What I’m fighting for is to prove I’m a better man than many of them. Where have you seen this “divine spark” in operation, Colonel? Where have you noted this magnificent equality? No two things on Earth are equal or have an equal chance. Not a leaf, not a tree. There’s many a man worse than me, and some better… But I don’t think race or country matters a damn. What matters, Colonel… Is justice. Which is why I’m here. I’ll be treated as I deserve, not as my father deserved. I’m Kilrain… And I damn all gentlemen. There is only one aristocracy… And that is right here.
[points to his head] And that’s why we’ve got to win this war.”

There were losers in the so-called “Greatest Generation” and there are losers among the “Millenials.” I have been teaching high school since 2004. A handful of my students are “awake” to the realities of their world, although of course their attitudes vary based on their individual ideologies. Most are asleep in almost every sense of the word. Some have stepped up and served in the armed forces. Most haven’t and won’t unless compelled (as was the case in WWII and Vietnam.) I served myself for 8 years in the Marines in the 1990’s. A whole other issue is the justice and utility of the war in which serves. That is best left I suppose for another venue.

I just started reading “The Clash of Generations”. it is an eye opener and scary, and I will certainly have to revise my thinking on some things. But I did want to point out that you need to start differentiating in your use of the term “old”. At 71, I’ve learned that I am in the “young old” category. Except for the past year, Boomers are not in the “old” group. And I don’t think OWS is the victim of ridicule and scorn but of a lack of a coherent message.

Then they discovered debt in the 80’s.

Then they discovered how to destroy their health by eating, and became the most obese generation in the history of mankind, showing they have no respect for themselves or anyone else.

Then they covered their tracks by removing the concepts of guilt, shame, immorality, and sin from our lexicon and life, thereby allowing them and all that came after them to do, eat, steal and take whatever they wanted whenever they wanted.

Millennial have no idea how screwed they really are. Thank God the economics of trying to support tens of millions boomers assure a self-collapse and speedy death to the infidels.

These are good kids…. the majority of them. I was thinking this morning about things as I stopped myself from hittting the link to see if I could find pics of my friends, which I didn’t because customers would think me stoned from crying:

When the OWS thing was gathering steam, I might have been one to ridicule it and not scratch under the media’s surface…

But the previous July I was at a barbeque and talking to a kid who did some tours in the corps. He was very proud to have helped depose a dictator. That’s what he was there for… but he also knew the bullshit that our dear politicians have been pulling. He was appaled by the bullshit the big money was pulling.

He was shutting the boomer neo-cons up. He was very level-headed and it stuck with me.

They need a chance, not this culture war political charade masking a massive looting by a very large group of narcissistic hippies turned know-it-all rollers.

No less, if you believe that wars are really for resources, look around at what you have and what has been built on the steroid of debt. It all makes war necessary. The ones who die will see little benefit.

I too have been impressed to see the number of young veterans that are also part of the OWS movement. I talk about these topics quite frequently in my classes and the students that are “awake” and engaged are shocked by the level of fraud in our political and economic systems.
I must confess, these last few years have been a real education for me. I really only “woke up” to things as a result of questions from my brighter students in 2007/2008 about the conduct of the war and what was going on in the economy.
I guess I see my role as an educator is to “wake up” as many students as I can, and hope they wake up others.

All for Naught: The Battle of Peleliu

Unnecessary Sacrifice of Life
Of all the unnecessary U.S. operations of World War II, Peleliu was not only the most unnecessary but also the costliest in American lives. During May of 1944 our high command decided that Gen. Douglas MacArthur would finally return to the Philippines with a landing on Leyte Island, scheduled for October. To protect his flank it was thought that Peleliu, with its airfield, must be secured. There was less than unanimous agreement on the plan. Admiral William “Bull” Halsey, for one, argued that the operation was unnecessary, that Peleliu should be leap-frogged as had so many other Japanese-held islands in the Pacific. He was overruled.

An ode to boomers:

“Suffer not the old King under any name!”

Their infernal machine lops and trims the green upstarts, the single emerald sprouts, the high stalk topped with the blue cornflower down to the level of their dull brown mass. Down there in the dull, down among the dead men, the mass molders and they love to inhale the musk of decay.

Their minds are the godless grave of words muttered by Mao, garbled by Goebbels, and limned by Lenin from which no life or liberty can ever hope for escape and resurrection.

Their secular “green” religion has its bad rap but no hymns. Their “progressive” policies eviscerate all prayers.

Their fantasy of a “fairer world” will become their grandchildren’s small and shrunken lives on a nightmare planet where all men, finally equalized, will live like dung beetles on the desolate wastes of what once was.

And yet, like zombies lashed to a dying animal, they persist in their death-in-life existence, seeking only the freedom of an approved and “assisted” suicide as their reward.

They call themselves “progressives” and flatter themselves that their thoughts and actions are “revolutionary” when they are as reactionary as any mob that can be remembered from history.

What happened to all those who, in my youth, marched and sang for “freedom?” How did they become so old, so hidebound, so stuck in the past? When did they become so mired in “Imagine?” How, from once striving so hard against colonialism in all its guises, did they allow their minds to become so utterly colonized by a matted mass of dim and discredited notions?

They chain themselves deep in the pit of pretend, and celebrate their servitude by bending heaven and earth to get you down in the hole that they’re in.

They believe that the individual should become the mass, and that the mass should worship its apotheosis; that single one who best reflects their ossified visions on which the anointing oil has long since dried to a brown crust of thought.

They are the monarchists of the masses. They seek a state in which the head that wears the crown may change but where the crown itself grows forever larger.

They no longer “rage against the machine.” They are the machine. “Drive them fast to their tomb.”

An enlightened boomer on his generation:
‘Willpower’ and the Suckiest Generation
by Andrew Klavan

I often joke with my wife that I wish my generation — the Baby Boomers — could die without taking me with them. I’d sure as hell like to be around to see them go. They ruined the culture of this country, threw away the untold riches bequeathed to them, betrayed and undermined centuries of wisdom, spread the use of drugs, legitimized divorce and abortion, and even managed to screw up the civil rights movement that might otherwise have been their signal achievement. On the other hand, they did give us pre-faded jeans, so I guess that’s something.

All this misery they (we, I fear I should say) heaped on America and the west while retaining a sense of arrogant self-satisfaction and self-justification that, were it not for our knowledge of sinful human nature, would defy understanding. The television show Mad Men is excellent drama, I admit, but it fairly drips with the Baby Boomers’ overriding notion that America used to be nothing more than a desert of falsehood, bigotry, and oppression before the Sixties cavalry arrived to rescue us from ourselves. Which, not to put too fine a point on it, is crap.

Well, right. In other words, behaving well, behaving responsibly, learning the norms of politeness and refusing to abandon them without good reason tend to make you a more self-controlled, successful, and finally better person.

This is precisely the wisdom my generation threw away. Their promiscuity, adolescent foul-mouthedness, bad manners, and disregard for tradition — all of which they claimed were a new kind of freedom — were in fact the precursors to the very oldest kind of slavery: slavery to one’s own impulses and desires. This slavery, packaged in the Sixties as “identity” or “culture” or “the right to be yourself,” ultimately leads to enslavement by others as it makes you indolent and irresponsible and in need of protection and restraint by the powers that be. A poor black man’s journey from hip hop culture to prison is a perfect example. So is a middle class white man’s journey from moral license and unwarranted praise to his sniveling need for an all-providing — oh, and by the way, all-powerful — state.

A government that wants more power knows well it can acquire that power by stripping the citizenry of every need and opportunity to provide for and take control of themselves — every reason to exercise their will. Welfare, unending unemployment benefits, “free” health care, business bailouts, the “right” to live off your parents’ insurance until you’re 47 or whatever: these, not religion, are the true opiate of the people.

My generation, using the loftiest possible language, destroyed the loftiest possible image of man — his image as God-made creature endowed with the right to be left alone. Instead, they declared him a weak collection of needs with some mysterious right to have those needs paid for by other people’s earnings. They told us government had to provide the citizen’s material needs even if it hampered his ability to live free.

Instead they should have asked: “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, if he forfeits his own soul?”

Colma-(Btw I’m really close to talking the person I’m renting from to do that wood-fired oven)

You won’t be sorry.

And yes , seeking salvation a generation, golden calf , science, the state are all works of Satan .

And the millennials as Howe breathlessly exclaims, being raised in a neutered , overly protective environment sheltered by helicopter parents, wrapped up in science, promiscuity homosexuality ,and devoid of all faith in God whilst still sucking on their mothers tits till their 12 years old will make the perfect subject in the new State of Marxism just as Marx’s colleague Mikhail Bakunin predicted back in1872.
SFW? Howe saw a financial and political, crisis on the horizon in 1997.Big deal. He could have read any number of books form the 50’s ,60’s ,70’s and 80’s listing the same “crisis’ he saw looming?
Just ask muck, he was onto this shit when howes was still flitting about the Berkeley campus chattering like a parakeet for the entertainment of all the other preening pompous parakeets

LifeCourse Associates really? LOL…if you want a course in how to live your life, get a bible. Neil Howe can tell you nothing about human nature that isn’t contained within those pages.

The State of Marx
The State has always been the patrimony of some privileged class: a priestly class, an aristocratic class, a bourgeois class. And finally, when all the other classes have exhausted themselves, the State then becomes the patrimony of the bureaucratic class… But in the People’s State of Marx there will be, we are told, no privileged class at all….but there will be a government and, note this well, an extremely complex government. This government will not content itself with administering and governing the masses politically, as all governments do today. It will also administer the masses economically, concentrating in the hands of the State the production and division of wealth, the cultivation of land, the establishment and development of factories, the organization and direction of commerce, and finally the application of capital to production by the only banker – the State. All that will demand an immense knowledge and many heads “overflowing with brains” in this government. It will be the reign of scientific intelligence, the most aristocratic, despotic, arrogant, and elitist of all regimes. There will be a new class, a new hierarchy of real and counterfeit scientists and scholars, and the world will be divided into a minority ruling in the name of knowledge, and an immense ignorant majority. And then, woe unto the mass of ignorant ones!
Such a regime will not fail to arouse very considerable discontent in the masses of the people, and in order to keep them in check, the “enlightened” and “liberating” government of Mr. Marx will have need of a not less considerable armed force. For the government must be strong, says Engels, to maintain order among these millions of illiterates whose mighty uprising would be capable of destroying and overthrowing everything, even a government “overflowing with brains.”

Generational theory posits throughout history there have been four generational archetypes
prophets ,nomads, heroes and artists all interacting whilst intertwined with the four turnings of high ,awakening , unraveling and crisis all evolving around an 80 year cycle… yadda yadaa yadda..

My position is that nature of man is fallen and our soul is perpetually entangled in the battle of light over darkness.
If any time in history there was a crisis that led to a high point resulting in a mass awakening of the sheep I am not aware of it.
All the crisis involving humans I’m aware of were settled quite decisively by massive bloodshed, always ending with a weary people tired and disgusted with war and readily open to accepting any solution the ruling class offers.
Anything for a little peace.
But the state being a beast beholden to an insatiable thirst for power, will have no peace until the entire world is under it’s total control.
See Revelations.

History is not written by the masses awakening and then again slipping deep into turpitude .
History is written by the awakened few who skillfully manipulate the perpetually ignorant masses into doing their bidding via religion , patriotism or the promise of great wealth.
It’s always the same,.

If you’ve some great history books to recommend ,sure I’m all for them , but fiction has never been my cup of tea…lifecourse instructor? lmao…A regular Dale Carnegie , i sure..

There has never been more than a few decades in the history of these
United states when were were not traipsing all over the globe in search of someone to wage war on. So where was the crisis and which was an awakening?

And why does this generational theory only apply to the United States .Did not Japan and Germany also have their hero generation or is it only the victor that gets to have hero generations?

While I would not personally put a spoonful of some scientoaday chemist’s bastardization of perfectly good ham in my mouth , I am aware of the fact that the nasty crap does have a very long shelf life and therefore is a wise addition to anyone’s prep pantry….might want to get some…you know , in case the hero salvation does not work out.
