OBAMACARE IMPACT ON REAL PEOPLE

Remember Obama declaring to the entire country that the average American family would SAVE $2,500 per year if we passed Obamacare. Someone tell Nancy Pelosi that we finally did find out what was in the bill. The people in this video are real Americans working for a real small business. They aren’t wearing red pajamas and sipping a latte. They are bent over getting their $2,500 of “savings” from Obama.

Everyone now knows Obama lied. They know that his intentions were not to help the average American. His intention was to control the healthcare system and make us all serfs. And we let it happen. And we continue to sit still as we get a never ending rectal exam.

You now know why Obama’s State of the Union address had the lowest TV rating in history. You now know why Congress’ approval rating is lower than whale shit. You now know why retail sales are collapsing. You now know why this country is headed for disaster.

And remember, Obama delayed all of the really bad parts of Obamacare until after the upcoming mid-term elections. He is truly a lowlife, lying, corrupt, psychopathic, empty suit, representing the vested interests in this corporate fascist paradise.

I run a small business, most of my employees bought into the lies and voted for the liar in chief.

We attempted two sit down meetings, once in 2010 and the other in 2013 to discuss the ACA and unknown costs to the company.
We have Blue Cross, the average premium rose $200 per month per employee after our plans were canceled and we received the new plan.
We had to pass that cost onto the employee as we could not afford to absorb that cost. Most of our work is contracted months before we do the actual work, that unknown cost was not added into the labor cost.
I have one guy out for six months because of a non work related ankle replacement. He can’t collect unemployment or workers comp. He told my wife yesterday he may hang himself.

Can’t wait for the employer mandate to kick in.

It is now Jan 30 and I can tell you that we are only seeing a tiny sliver of the debacle that will come.

Right now the Obamacare mandate has hit only the individual policy market.. In my practice, that is people in the 55-65 yo age group, who may have retired, own a small business, whatever, who are not ready for Medicare yet (and make too much for Medicaid). This is also the age group where cancer incidence begins to rise, as well as other expensive problems like cardiovascular disease, stroke, COPD.

These are people that have always taken responsibility for themselves, having health insurance, paying taxes, etc, and this is also the demographic more likely to be conservative than liberal. This is also the demographic that used to be in the peak earning years of their lives but is now really hurting due to the crappy Obongo economy.

Now, with these crappy Obongocare policies, which don’t cover shit and come with ginormous deductibles/copays, these folks ARE NOT SEEKING CANCER CARE. That’s right, they tell me that they would rather just die than pay these large amounts of money. I’m not talking metastatic lung cancer here, I am talking locally advance breast cancer which I can potentially CURE. I don’t know what other specialists are seeing but it can’t be much different.

What a wonderful thing Obongo has brought us: A way to kill off a demographic that votes against him, a way to lower health care costs BY NOT PROVIDING ANY, and a way to take even MORE PEOPLE OFF THE UNEMPLOYEMENT ROLLS thus improving the UE “rate”.

Oh, and if these folks are DEAD, then there will be less CO2 exhaled, as dead people typically don’t breath, thus less human induced climate change.

For the suicide death cult that is ObongoNation, that is a win-win.

And people wonder why we screamed so loudly about what we KNOW will BE the unintended consequences of ObongoCare?

@Hope,

“I am talking locally advance breast cancer which I can potentially CURE.”

How about invasive “spider” breast cancer that has metastasized to the liver seven years after a double mastectomy? My 51 year old sister was just informed she has a large tumor on her liver. Apparently the doctors here misdiagnosed the tumor as benign a year ago. She has osteoporosis after her last go around with chemo.

Judy should look at her financial situation. If she doesn’t have any assets outside of home equity or retirement funds, she should probably skip insurance. If she gets in a car accident, she could get emergency treatment under EMTALA and eventually file bankruptcy, wiping out her medical bills. If she comes down with cancer, she can buy insurance with the “no preexisting condition” stipulation of Obamacare. And in the meantime she’d save $16,500 per year in premiums (less any Obamacare penalty). If she made the mistake of saving any money (a huge mistake in present-day America), then she’ll need to suck it up and buy insurance. On the other hand, getting financially wiped out by a car accident would probably cut the cost of her kids’ college costs by 80%. Anyone who saves any money these days is a sucker.

Obamacare: a terrible program built on top of a horseshit system.

@Hope: Nice post. You could have been talking about me 15 years ago.. It won’t be long before they have a Death Panel decide that I’m too old to mess with anymore, cut off my monoclonal antibody maintenance treatments and out to the crematorium go I.

Of course the treatments cost about $9,000 every two months (you can get the same treatment in Canada for $200 but then again, you have to die before you’re treated!!)..

You all keep working hard so Old Muck can stay around and harass you – hear??

Most of us are heading for a day where we will have to make choices unimaginable just a short time earlier. I know I am, and I’m relatively well off compared to the FSA – but its a date with destiny and it scares the shit outta me when I have those moments where all the truth leaks in.

Question, can anyone name ONE thing the government runs/does well? Seriously.

My wife just lost her job working at an addiction rehab facility. Insurance companies cut back on the coverage of mental health because of obamacare. The business had a three month waiting list to get in the place but insurance would not provide them coverage. The place was in business for 10 years and was doing very before the new healthcare law. Now 25 people are unemployed and a great service is gone. Thanks Obama !!!!

It’s pretty simple, really. All the people that voted for Obama either got waivers to opt out of Obamacare (unions, cronies) or they’re pleased to be getting free healthcare now (the larger, new and improved FSA). Obamacare is all about screwing people that work and redistributing their money to people that get free shit. More than 20 million people now have free healthcare thanks to Obamacare.

Millions of people that work for a living have had their insurance cancelled. In 2014, businesses will be dropping health insurance by the millions. And people that work for a living now can’t afford health insurance, and will have to pay for their own healthcare (the way it should be). I keep hoping Obamacare will destroy HMO’s and Medicare/Medicaid, and resort to people paying for healthcare directly.

Meanwhile, people are getting poorer and poorer. Forward! Thanks Obama, you fucking asshole, for socialism, aka trickle up poverty.

Real Disposable Income Plummets Most In 40 Years
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 01/31/2014

We may not know much about “Keynesian economics” (and neither does anyone else: they just plug and pray, literally), but we know one thing: when real disposable personal income drops by 0.2% from a month earlier, and plummets by 2.7% from a year ago, the biggest collapse since the semi-depression in 1974, something is wrong with the US consumer.

Sick Kids Denied Specialty Care Due to Obamacare in Washington

Jan 31, 2014 • By DANIEL HALPER

“Administrators at Seattle Children’s today said they predicted this would happen, and it’s even worse than they expected,” says the local news anchor. “Patients being denied specialty treatment at the hospital by insurance providers on the Washington health benefits exchange. Children’s filed request on behalf of 125 of their patients. Of those, they say they got only 20 responses, eight of which were denials. Dr. Sandy Melzer says all this comes after reassurances of certain unique specialty cases would still be covered.”

Dr. Sandy Melzer says, “Well, some of the patients who were denied are ones who clearly would fall into that unique category. A two-year-old with new significant neck mass that was being evaluated for infection or malignancy, an older child with a chronic severe medical condition requiring multidisciplinary care here, a baby that had a skull abnormality.”

The anchor explains, “Children’s went ahead and treated those cases anyway, but Dr. Melzer said they can’t afford to keep doing that it way.”

I truly believe it’s only a matter of time before these “side effects” of Obamacare become so outrageous and unpalatable to Americans that we see it either dropped or reformed significantly.

We shouldn’t be surprised; the ACA was written by health insurance companies for the benefit of health insurance companies. And sold to us by the biggest liars who’s ever set foot in the White House.

“Question, can anyone name ONE thing the government runs/does well? Seriously.”

1. The Panama Canal operated at a PROFIT for 60 years, 1913-1973. Until TPTB decided not to raise rates to cover rising costs (shit that breaks in the canal is expensive to fix because it’s all one-of-a-kind; you can’t order parts from a Sears catalogue or Amazon.com). Why? “Poorer” maritime nations, particularly in South America, lobbied the USG not to raise passage rates because they couldn’t afford the increased costs in their exported and imported goods. It was all bullshit, of course, but the canal operated at a HUGE loss to taxpayers, as in hundreds of millions of dollars each year until we gave the fucking thing away to Panama in 1999. What happened then? Panama really jacked up the passage rates and said “Fuck you, it’s ours” to the rest of the world. The canal produces 25% of Panama’s national income today.

2. The U.S. Mint used to be a big money-maker for Uncle Sam because of the specialty coins, such as uncirculated and proof sets, it sold for a premium to coin collectors. I don’t think that’s true today largely because of skyrocketing labor costs of union drones working for the mint. The increased prices paid for metals used to make coins isn’t helping either. I’ve read that the copper used to make a penny is worth more than a penny. And why has the cost of the metals gone up? Largely due to expensive government regulations (can anyone say EPA?) on mining operations.

So, to answer your question, I cannot think of one single thing the government runs/does well.

I’m approaching early retirement age and am considering moving to Costa Rica, mostly due to health care costs. You can buy health care in Costa Rica for about $1500/year which includes dental. Costa Rica beats the U.S. in just about every category w/regard to medical care. Becoming a legal resident in Costa Rica allows you to access their government health care system.

http://internationalliving.com/countries/costa-rica/health-care/

Of course, there are many other reasons to relocate out of the USSA, but the cost of health care alone is a big one for me. To obtain permanent residence status, you just have to prove you have a retirement income >$1000 month (this can include Social Security retirement income as well as private pension income).

Hope@ Zerokelvin – You are “miles out” on the development costs of today’s drugs. For example, Wyeth had to sink $ 1.8 BILLION into the development of Tigecycline (“Tygacil”), and being an effective antibiotic, it gets left on the shelf “for emergency use only”, all the while the Patent is ticking by . . . .

Antibiotic R&D really is the Cinderella of new drug development – costly, difficult to manage Clinical Trials, usually short (or very short) duration of treatment (at the individual Patient level), often complex formulations (added Manufacturing costs), and overall a very poor ROI in comparison with the “lifestyle management” or “Chronic Disease” therapies out there.

This is why there is a dearth of new (i.e. really new target) antibacterial agents, and why the WHO etc are in a big panic over “Antibiotic Resistance” and “Stewardship” (which is a waste of time and resources anyhow, since the majority of the Global population have easy access to most antibiotics without any prescription!). You really DON’T want me to get started on diversion of Veterinary antibiotics into the counterfeit / fake Antibiotic market (the Number One problem in the Third World economies!).

Spend billions developing a new drug that might be used for a very short time (5-7 days) by a few million annually, or spend much less developing a “me too” modified version of an existing drug for e,g, Type 2 diabetes management, (e.g. another “glitazone” or new combination of metformin with gliclazide, glipizide or whatever), and be guaranteed tens (hundreds) of millions of customers taking “your drug” continuously, every day for decades – you tell me which option makes the best sense economically in terms of ROI.

No effective antibiotics? No more “contaminated” surgeries; no more transplants, no more chemotherapies, Gonorrhoea / Syphilis / TB become difficult / impossible to treat; even simple, “clean” surgeries become risky.

Financial collapse is not the only thing to worry about. There are many, many more skeletons in the closet, that most either ignore, or have zero knowledge of.

“Rise up, can you speak Spanish? If not you’re in for some culture shock.”
—-bb, commenting on Rise Up’s thoughts on moving to Costa Rica

For Pete’s sake, do you ever do any research or have experience with a subject that you comment on?

Number One. English is a second language for hundreds of millions, maybe billions, of people throughout the world. This is especially true of Latin America, including Costa Rica, which has a HUGE community of retired Americans who have moved there just for the reasons Rise Up stated. You can find Ticos, as the Costa Ricans like to call themselves, who speak English everywhere, except perhaps for rural, isolated villages.

Number Two. Spanish is perhaps one of the easiest foreign languages to learn. Even if you can only pick up a few basic words and phrases, you can get by with “Spanglish.” Spanish speakers are perhaps the most tolerant people I’ve ever been with who will appreciate your attempt, however awkward, to speak their language.

Rise Up will of course experience some cultural shock, even in Costa Rica. I’ve been there many times and know the place. But the shock will be mild and quickly dissipate.

SSS – Went to Costa Rica for a conference years ago. Great place, totally memorable food (i.e. can’t remember the conference, but will never forget the eating!) Very Nice People (I was single at the time so I was a bit biased) – the term “Eye Candy” does not do the female population even modest credit! The lady who looked after out apartment complex was pretty awesome in all the important areas, and really efficient too!

Ecuador is good too – nice people there, and an acceptably modest degree of bureaucratic oversight. Worth considering as an alternative source of residence.

What was the purpose behind Obama’s push to power? What was his real job that his puppet masters gave him? After five years in office, the real job the power tycoons gave Obama was to destroy the moral and ethical values and foundations of America. Think about what Obama has done or is trying to do since taking office.

– Push to legalize same sex marriage
– Allowed homosexuals in the military
– Destroying religious rights
– Destroying family values
– Destroying parental rights
– Made racial tensions worse, not better
– Destroying freedom of speech
– Destroying and defying U.S. Constitution
– Destroying jobs
– Trying to destroy right to bear firearms
– Destroying powers of Congress by overriding them
– Trying to destroy conservatives
– Assumed presidency without proving eligibility
– Aiding and abetting America’s enemies
– Destroying right to life
– Destroying economy
– Turned schools into brainwashing institutions
– Amnesty to illegal immigrants

“If you look at what this administration has done – from ObamaCare to the Environmental Protection Agency to the [ immigration enforcement ], the rules and regulations and executive orders that he rolls out on the fly – it is quite clear that he ignores what is in the law and he does what he wants to do,” Louisiana Rep – John Fleming.
