When I read the headline, I immediately thought of the “Reality Assert-a-tron”, the Vogons, the Infinite Improbabilty Drive, and the Heart of Gold, along with all the other characters in Douglas Adams’ first book.
A very good series, and a very readable (and observant) author too.
