Now that Chris Martin has dropped this vacuous twit for Jennifer Lawrence, it looks like she wants some dark meat. This is the type of person Barack Obama associates with. She’s a brain dead, spoiled, rich, Hollywood starlet who has nothing in common with any average person in this country.
This picture shows Gwynth Paltrow practically drooling at the sight of Obama in her Brentwood, LA garden on Thursday night. Lending out her big backyard for a $1,000-$15,000-a-plate Democratic Party fundraiser, the “de-coupled” Hollywood starlet went all tongue tied:
“You’re so handsome I can’t speak,” she managed to gush out, adding that she was one of his “biggest fans, if not the biggest.”
The WSJ reporter who was on the scene said she earned a high-five from her daughter Apple as she sat down.
She also praised Obama’s green energy efforts, and then his advocacy for equal pay for women “something very important to me as a working mother.” Back in March, Paltrow took some flack from the female species over this little gem:
“I think it’s different when you have an office job, because it’s routine and, you know, you can do all the stuff in the morning and then you come home in the evening…I think to have a regular job and be a mom is not as, of course there are challenges, but it’s not like being on set.”
Oh and she managed to fire this comment off to her audience, which included Julia Roberts and Bradly Whitford, as well before she sat down:
“It would be wonderful if we gave this man all of the power that he needs to pass the things that he needs to pass.”

Hub and I got into a spat the other day.
He invited me out to lunch – I don’t go out everyday to eat like he does, we had a nice lunch then when the server put the check on the table, he pushed it over to my side. “Your turn.”

I haven’t quite yet reached TE’s level of frustration re attending movies. Some features MUST be seen on a big screen, especially sci-fi flicks like “Guardians Of The Galaxy”. The “trick” to avoid all the assholes is NEVER go on weekends. Theaters are DEAD on Mondays and Tuesdays, especially the last show of the day. That’s how we watched “Guardians” …. I think there were maybe 10 other people there.
There are still very good Indie flicks.
But, yeah, Hollywood and me ….. we are drifting ever further apart. They live in a totally different world than I do … like Bizzarro World on Superman. Fuck ’em.

After our last trip to the movie theater about two years ago, my wife and I vowed to never go again. Two tickets cost $19! Nineteen fucking dollars?!! Seriously?!!
On top of that, they search any bags you may be carrying plus all of the stuff TE mentioned AND the fact that all those PoWM creatures that shit themselves and wallow around in it are sitting in those theater seats makes it very easy to just say no.
It must be fucking miserable for anyone who is awake and aware to live in Hollyweird. That bitch Paltrow compares an office job to being “on-set”? She needs an office job at the DMV all year for 20 years! She works (and is overpaid) for what…….twelve to sixteen weeks per year and earns enough in one year to never work again? Fuck her!
I saw the trailer to Eastwood’s American Sniper the other day. It’s about Chris Kyle, the most accomplished sniper in US history who was subsequently killed at his local gun range. The trailer depicts the untenable situation of having to chose to kill a child who has just been handed explosives and is moving toward a US convoy. Then, the trailer ends with “Coming: 12-24-2014.” Really?!! I like Eastwood and his movies but do we really need to release a sniper movie on fucking Christmas Day? I don’t even believe in God or Jeebus but that kind of shit just pisses me off. It’s all about the Benjamins. Always has been, always will be.

Here in Noo Joisey, movies in 3D, like Masters of the Universe, are $18 ….. each.
Stuck, I can’t think of a single movie in the entire history of movies that I would pay $18 dollars to see. Any DVD’s I own I get on the cheap via $1.99 discount bins, yard sales, etc. 3-D is a non-starter for me due to being blind in one eye. You must be high to pay $18 to see a movie!

That said, my missus and I spent a fortune on a theater room. We could go to the movies every week for the rest of our lives for what it cost.

Llpoh, while I don’t have my own dedicated theater room, I do have my own rather expensive home theater setup in my living room. High end audio and later video, was/is one of my hobbies. It might be more expensive than going to a theater but I have total control and nary a sheep or PoWM to be found.
I consider the “cheap bastard” comment to be very high praise regardless of who bestows it upon me. The difference between you and me is that I’ll probably die rich with my wealth buried (comfortable in the security and peace of mind it can provide) in various locations throughout several states and you’ll be spending and enjoying yours.

Gwyneth Paltrow Celebrity Event Sullies Presidency
The idiocy of Hollywood was in full bloom Thursday night when Gwyneth Paltrow turned an already-embarrassing Hollywood fundraiser into “The Dating Game.”
Paltrow — who hosted the event at her Brentwood home — gushed as she introduced President Obama, “You’re so handsome that I can’t speak properly.”
She then showed utter ignorance about, and contempt for, the Constitution and separation of powers — the basic tenets of our government — by saying, “It would be wonderful if we were able to give this man all of the power that he needs to pass the things that he needs to pass.”
It’s the latest example of how demeaning it has become for Presidents to act like circus animals — performing for crowds that will feed them … in this case, feed them with money to line political coffers.
It’s revolting that celebrities and other rich people feel such a need for self-importance — contributing money but ONLY if they can have their picture taken with the president and tell their friends they had dinner with him. If they’re so committed to him, just send him a check and let him stay in Washington and do his job.
Fact is … it has little to do with Obama. It’s about how the celebrity circus has sullied the Presidency of the United States.
