STUDENT LOAN DEBT ISSUED BY GOVERNMENT INCREASES BY $3,055 PER SECOND

We will need another clock in the near future to show the amount of student loan debt written off per second and heaped onto the backs of hard working taxpayers.

Like cigarettes deliver nicotine, students are a mere delivery system of largesse to the education-industrial complex.

Ever notice that when republicans are in charge debt is bad, and when democrats are in charge debt is either bush’s fault or it’s not bad.

“The Obama administration said it would forgive federal student loans owed by Americans who can show they were lured to colleges by fraudulent recruiting…..”

So, we the taxpayer will have to pay more worthless government drones to process paperwork turned in by dipshits with worthless college degrees so their debt now becomes ours?

Well then, Obama will pay for all student debt acquired if the college recruitment included fraudulent information. That should make all the students with debts from Black colleges very happy.

Back in the day, college was afforded by a good summer job and perhaps a part-time stint on campus. All accomplished by average folk with no scholarships, grants, or loans. Of course my tuition was $186 a quarter with room and board another $330, but fortunate to have a job making $4.75 an hour.

The Pharaohs were kinder way back when.

My wife and I had $107k in student loans. Over the last two years we are down to $96k. That 6.55% interest is a real killer, our minimums are $1k per month.

I got angry and thought “thats it, no more home improvements, no more vacations, no more new ANYTHING, we are living like paupers until this shit is gone!”

So I ran the numbers, and if we had only bought the house, no new cars (bus pass instead) no vacations and cooked every meal (we are at half?) we would still owe almost 80 grand.

At that point I cracked open a beer and sat in quiet silence for the rest of the night.

I can’t imagine being one of those hopeless saps that didn’t get a technical degree and didn’t get a professional job. If I’m severely depressed, those poor bastards must be suicidal.

Or on enough drugs to make the day disappear, because no sane person can be positive knowing they owe 15-20% of their annual income to creditors for the next 20 years.
