I have no idea where I heard that kids under a certain number of years have no ego. Years ago we heard they were innocent. Some pagan societies still kill inconvenient babies, oh wait, that’s the USA.
You can’t use the word ‘rather’ in polite company over here, anymore than you can use the word ‘quite’ or ‘actually’. We have the west coast version of that precious phrase; “It pisses me off.”
My asshole boss from the rather effete and snobby region of Georgia-Florida was wont to use words like ‘pub’ and ‘petrol’ as well as ‘drawers’. All because he went to England once when he was in the AF.
He made a point to take off on Veterans day to go to the free day at Knott’s. That rather offended me, he wasn’t the only veteran there, jerk.
