I have a story to go with my favorite costume.
It was my first year at my first job out of college. I had a coworker who was ex Navy and liked to mess with people. Towards the end of the day on Oct 30, he asked “So what are you gonna be?” I was confused and asked him what he’s talking about. “Dude, are you serious? We have an office tradition where everyone dresses up for work on Halloween. You better get something tonight or you’ll be seen as an outcast around here.”
So I went and got a Marcus Antonius costume for the next day. I should probably say at this point that I work at a science and engineering organization where everyone wears dress clothes and long pants, even in the summer. The next day I rolled up to work wearing my toga and sandles. The security guard at the entrance gave me a funny look and chuckled to himself, then let me in. I was freezing, but at least I’d keep up morale with my coworkers.
When I got into the office, I noticed I was the only wearing a costume. Everyone else was wearing oxford shirts, cardigan sweaters, and dress pants. I got quite a few strange looks, some people stopped and scratched their head, some “uhh…”s, and some people would instantly burst out laughing when they saw me. I went to my coworker’s office who gave me the idea, and congratulated him on a good burn. He asked if I brought a change of clothes at least, to which the answer was no. At least there were no meetings that day.
But I never made any complaints and finished my work for the day. My supervisor thought I handled the situation pretty well all things considered, and I got a decent raise that year.

My favorite costume for Halloween is the invisible man ! Works great for work . Not my fault they didn’t see me ! Nice photos of the ladys btw))

Rise Up, is that a remake of Cabaret? This place is getting classy, be a darling and do post more of those rather quaint impressions.
