HUCK FINN BANNED BECAUSE IT UPSETS THE DELICATE SENSIBILITIES OF HIGH SCHOOL CHERUBS

The pussification of America accelerates. These kids need to feel the uncomfortableness of a foot up their asses. I wonder how uncomfortable they’ll feel fighting against the Russians or Chinese. I wonder how uncomfortable they’ll feel when their iGadgets stop working and they can’t go to Starbucks or Paneras for a coffee and wrap. This generation is hopelessly entrapped in the social justice propaganda jammed down their throats and 12 years of social engineering by control freak liberal milquetoast teachers.

Montgomery County School Removes ‘Huckleberry Finn’ After Students Feel Uncomfortable

A suburban Philadelphia school is removing “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” from its 11th grade curriculum, saying the language and portrayal of blacks makes students uncomfortable.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Friends’ Central School decided the “community costs” of reading Mark Twain’s 1885 classic outweigh the literary benefits.

Art Hall, principal of the school in Wynnewood, says the book’s use of racial slurs was “challenging for some students, who felt the school was not being inclusive.”

The school is guided by a Quaker philosophy.

The book about manners, race and rebellion in pre-Civil War has inspired controversy since its release 130 years ago. In 2011 an Alabama publisher replaced the offending word with “slave.”

A Twain biographer has called book’s slur the “ultimate teachable moment in American literature.”

Well, fuck, if the book makes their precious snowflakes uncomfortable, what else can they do but ban the book?

I look forward to the rewritten Politically Palatable History of the World*. Where we can all learn that President Karl Marx won the US civil war, freed the slaves, and instituted the EBT card system.

* Now with 100% fewer facts.

So, today I was in the library and the A/C was running constantly. I sat there for two hours feeling unsafe. When are they gonna ban the A/C in library. I could’ve gotten hypothermia.

On a serious note, this is why I said most students should’ve never been allowed into college. If you can’t read Mark Twain and understand the historical significance you’re an idiot. And I wouldn’t even trust you to operate the fry station at McDonald’s.

You know, if I went to that school I’d be uncomfortable with the entire curriculum and uncomfortable with whatever color the walls were painted. I might even be uncomfortable with the neighborhood the school is situated in and………………………

It’s like the morbidly obese woman who goes to the doctor’s office with a litany of complaints, but the doctor cannot mention her weight. The only solution is to try and treat the symptoms with pharmaceuticals until the patient dies. The problem is the patient’s lack of self discipline and poor diet.

In this case the root problem is ignorance and an equal measure of hubris. The symptom is discomfort when faced with reality, facts, logic and reason. The cure is to hide from contact with Truth.

The reality is that most of the students who will no longer have school required access to authors like Twain, wouldn’t read him anyway. Those who are curious and intelligent will find him on their own.

This comment doesn’t have anything to do with Huck Finn but it does speak to new world sensitivities and all the BS that goes with it. Just got this letter from our local YMCA, I shake my head as I read:

December 15, 2015

Our Association has formally stated that we will not discriminate against any individual, based on ability, age, background, ethnicity/race, faith, gender, gender expression, gender identity, or sexual orientation, and this applies to all YMCA practices and procedures.

As this relates to our restrooms and locker room procedures, we will not discriminate based on gender identity effective December 21. This timing will allow for staff education and training.

In addition, the YMCA’s Board of Directors previously approved a $1 million budget to enhance privacy in existing changing facilities, locker rooms, and showers, as well as to add private locker rooms to accommodate individuals, couples, or families. Renovations at our facilities will begin in early 2016.

The YMCA’s action today will enable our association to be in compliance with Washington law, as referenced in Administrative Code (WAC) regarding public accommodations for individuals’ gender identity (including but not limited to Sections 162-32-050 and 162-32-060). Our previous policy was not in compliance with these and other related sections of the WAC.

The WAC takes effect on December 26. Our Board of Directors and leaderships staff determined that December 21, five days in advance, would be an appropriate date to begin implementation of the new policy.

Our Board of Directors engaged in a thorough process, and affirmed our commitment to always follow the law. This was a thoughtful unanimous decision and either way, some of our members and others will disagree.

Even with this new policy, our job remains the same: helping everyone enjoy and benefit from our facilities as we focus on our core programs: developing our youth, building healthy communities, and fostering social responsibility.

As the President and CEO, I want all our members, donors and members of the public to be assured: We will serve all – regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity – and we want anyone who comes to us to feel welcomed and included. Harassment and discrimination of our members, staff, donors, and volunteers will not be tolerated. Members will be provided information, guidelines and other resources to help ensure their use of the YMCA meets their needs. We will treat all our members with the respect and dignity they deserve, and we will continue our commitment to safety for everyone.

As you may know, the YMCA’s has met and corresponded with numerous individuals on this matter over the past several months, including: leaders of LGBTQ advocacy groups, representatives of the faith community, those opposed to accommodating transgender people, representatives from public agencies, elected officials, donors, members, and others. While this has been a difficult process, we always appreciate hearing from our members about what they value most about the Y. We’ve learned and grown alongside our community.

Our consultations have been thorough and extensive. This has been one of the most significant issues our YMCA has grappled with in several years. We apologize for our missteps earlier this year, including a lack of education, communication, and process. We made mistakes, and we are sorry.

The YMCA has been in this community for more than 130 years. We have a long history and an uncompromising commitment to improving the lives and livelihoods of the residents of Pierce and Kitsap Counties.

Thank you for your continued support of our YMCA.

Strange.. every kid AND adult I know who reads this book loves it, irrespective of race or ethnic background.

What sensible people don’t understand is that we have become a society ruled by the Sqeakiest Wheel. It doesn’t take an entire movement of thousands to do something like ban an “offensive” book or other work of art. All it takes is a few loud, squealy voices. As one woman who works for a suburban municipality told me, let there be so many as two complaints by anonymous callers about something, and everyone throws their skirts over their heads and runs around in a panic making rules.

Which is really strange, when you consider how goddamn many times I’ve called the city to repave the alley behind my building, but it doesn’t get done. Looks like I need to muster the other neighborhood complainers.

The real story is what replaced it:

Sara has 2 mommies but one has a dick.

Burt and Ernie go SM

If I had a son by B O

She a ho by some bitch I never heard of

It takes a village.

An incontinent truth

No mom should worry about her sons life every time he robs a store.

See something say something.

Eventually these cries of mental discomfort will be replaced by cries for food and heat. I’m not really sure how to tell that to any of these folks though, in a way they could even begin to understand.

Greetings,

Look, we’re gonna have to fight these clowns sooner or later so we may as well fight a bunch of dummies. The way I see it, it evens the playing field as I’m in middle age and not as agile as I was as a young man. To make this a fair fight, my opponents have chosen to be idiots and with this handicap, the playing field is now level.

Let it begin.

I checked out the headmaster and senior staff. The headmaster is white, everyone else is a minority or a woman. This squares with my thesis, that there are little to none whites in the educational field. Who can blame the white man for avoiding these people like the Black Death. I myself hightailed it into the woods. But a disaster this will be for education. I could see it in my alma mater, now filled to the brim with women on the faculty rolls.

Liberals, women, and faggots will ruin any institution. But things don’t last forever. Keep that in mind.

Meh.

This censorship shit about Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer has been going on for generations. Who fucking cares? Pure symbolism for the Left.

In this particular case, the last fucking major contribution to America of the limp-wristed Quakers was to let their torturers in Europe, the Roman Catholics, to establish a diocese in Philadelphia. That was a first. Thus, “The City of Brotherly Love.”

It went downhill from there. It bottomed out with Nixon.
